"fallen / evil / excommunicated Padjal" whoops I definitely have a character like that on my padjal filled rp tumblr-- anyway, reading these are super fascinating, though I'm not entirely sure how to balance the lore of 1.0 and the elemental wheel with the present divisions, aka the retcon in place... I can think of a few potential excuses IC, but are any of them even remotely valid? I mean, we don't see snow or fire much in the Twelveswood, probably a little lightning though -- whereas earth, air, and water are everywhere. the excuse I'd imagine would be "the fire/ice/lightning elementals are not as strong any more since the Calamity". I just don't really feel comfortable assuming things about the lore to integrate into RP, which is probably why I'm not RPing all that much in-game lately. )': from what I've read, conjury is a moogle-taught art, and isn't completely focused on healing; seems to have enough offensive capability to keep the conjurer safe from harm in most situations. -- while succor, on the other hand, is much more direct and powerful healing, drawing from the planet's aether (lifestream). I am trying to reword things and understand fully; are these understandings correct?

I AM HERE WITH MANY QUESTIONS RE: CNJ vs WHM. I just finished reading some loredumps, bless, and I'm still wondering some things that other players might know or remember. or maybe I'm just looking for some loremongers to give me a hand. (Aisa's ended up at a start-up magic college/school/etc and she's somehow going to manage CNJ professor. she has enough background in that so it works, but I figure I should get all my crap figured out so I can play such a role properly -- at least what I can't glean from obsessive screenshots of the CNJ and WHM quests.) 1. how is the practice of conjury different from the practices of succor (whether modern Padjali forms, or the old forms from Amdapor) exactly? succor was forbidden because it was somehow misused (how, I wonder?) during the War of the Magi... so how is conjury different from white magic in its potential for misuse? is it "dumbed down" to help the environment? or are there methods White Mages would have known that conjury doesn't know? 2. is conjury necessarily "weaker" than white magic? I'd assume Padjal are generally much 'stronger' than the average Conjurer, and if so, is this because the elementals' gift of white magic, or is it an innate strength of white magic to have stronger healing potential? (with the game aspect, having Benediction would support that, but gameplay standpoints don't always seem to be too accurate... plus, you get Regen at 35 only with being WHM but Medica II is seemingly a lv 50 CNJ thing that also throws Regen on when casted and I ? don't know how that's explainable. besides maybe Regen being a spell only a very skilled and/or talented CNJ would know how to cast, while I suppose in that logic it would be standard teaching for any Padjal WHM in training.) bonus: we see Y'shtola using something that to me resembles Holy in this . ... but what is it? some fancy Sharlayan adaptation of Holy? or is it actually something else? does anyone even know the answer to that? is that more the territory of "headcanons"? I swear I have more questions than 2 and a half, but can't think of anything else. maybe I'll remember when some answers happen and I can ask further questions...

THM/Magic Roleplayers - How is thaumaturgy used?
SayonaraRevival replied to Kage's topic in RP Discussion
hmm, I've been lurking this thread. but now I'm wondering if I missed something, because I haven't seen any lore or explanations on how thaumaturgy or black magic gets related to the void. how are they related to the void, if it is at all, or is that just a comparison? is one relevant, while the other's not? I haven't played much in the THM quests because I hate the DPS queues and getting swiftcast isn't my priority right now, but does anything ever explain that in-game? just totally curious how they are related since I enjoy reading loredumps here. (I don't know if this question really justifies a new thread, and I don't really remember if there's a 'Stupid Lore Questions' thread here -- I didn't see one. maybe it's the gw2 forum instead I'm thinking of, lmao.) -

thinking about doing some 5-10 $ trad and/or digital sketches because I think the more I save for a new computer, the better... though maybe a name your price sketches thing would be better? so any commissioner can pay what they want and hopefully get something according to said price... -
I only have two linkshells atm so I'd love to join one of those :'D

(ah yes my lame computer and its lame half-arsed graphics.) I always start with really generic cliches and then branch out into subversions and crap from there, and then the actual development hits somewhere in the middle. so this is Sassy Raen, we'll call her Sassy for now, and she's fairly outgoing and friendly, but REALLY LIKES TO TEASE PEOPLE. she is either going to be cnj or scholar (depends on which I can get to work properly without being the player character IC. preferably scholar since I have so many cnj characters already but I doubt I can make that work so...) and -- my friend and I are going to be That Pair. this is her Xaela (ahhh~ gurl look at those graphics): http://36.media.tumblr.com/4f8f2827a42c46de6b44410eb6c48d11/tumblr_nni68ekefp1u5w8vbo1_1280.jpg[/img] who is, more or less, also a subversion of Xaela's description. ah yes the shy and socially awkward big dude. he's a good fighter but T A L K I N G ??? so we'll call him Shy Guy. Sassy tends to get on Shy Guy's case because he's big and intimidating and hardly smiles, and when he does smile it's scary too, and it probably chases off a good handful of people. Shy Guy doesn't really understand he glares without thinking, lmfao. he'll start glaring and she'll just punch his hip (lol 0 height) and tell him not to glare at everyone. and then when they go shopping (she likes to feel like she's got money once in a while and treats them both to Nice Things) she'll tug on his wrist and hang things they're buying on his horns. obviously they bicker a lot but it's a strange and awkward sibling-like relationship with an undercurrent of even more awkward feelings that I highly doubt either of them understand. so it's pretty much that kind of generic anime tsundere and generic anime kuudere dynamic going on. but we'll work on the details when we have name conventions / lore / etc. -- we spent like 3 hours last night making these silly details / brainstorming ideas and i did not sleep enough because it was 2am when I finally went to bed oops.

"Hmmm... That is pleasant to hear. She is very knowledgeable," she agreed, but of course, mister had not even a slight clue. Her mentor was never objectively wrong, and was certainly aware of subjective topics being such, but this one opted not to mention it. Best to let him see for himself. Hee-hee. Soon enough, the cottage was in view -- just over the slight hill, between the trees. "That is the destination," this one commented, and idly peered back over her shoulder a moment, before continuing to walk. "Is mister still faring well enough? Still walking without much limp, for now?" Although she also knew just how her mentor would choose to treat the mister, she opted not to mention it, either. A necessary yet still very 'gross' treatment. This one must have been desensitized to such things in the pursuit of conjury.

Would you take an anime-esque character seriously?
SayonaraRevival replied to Lyriell's topic in RP Discussion
@Mithril -- I don't see how it isn't comparable actually. if you've even been in a tag for a fandom as they're called, for even just a minute, you are going to see AUs. they're literally everywhere. people write fanfiction of other Final Fantasy games' characters in modern AUs. people will RP x character in y setting all the time in those groups of canon characters I mentioned. I've noticed it happens far less with the OCs/player-made characters. people will even draw AUs -- for example, a modern anime's characters in a Final Fantasy AU itself. just look at this: https://www.tumblr.com/search/au (apologies in advance for anything you might need brain bleach for.) then there are the AUs where characters are slightly different, or something happened in the AU differently, or so on and so forth. to be honest, I think what 'works' on Tumblr or messengers just varies from person to person, pretty sure it's just personal bias for the most part -- but there's no way I'm going to let people here think OP is the only one who would RP using an AU!Fate. I guarantee there are people out there RPing an AU!Fate or RPing with one. while the canonical RPer side of tumblr is a different breed than MMO RPing usually is... rejecting a mix of the genres seems a little more like "this is different and I don't like it!" (ie. personal preference) rather than a complaint that is capable of being discussed. yes, personal preference is 100% okay to have, I realize this, and I also realize I might be sounding way too persistent -- but I am trying to tell people in this thread that this isn't as abnormal or weird as I get the impression they think. as for the exact name... while SE having a rule against it is one thing that OP would probably do best to keep in mind, overall -- there's really not a lot of problem besides that? how far can you bend the policies of "no names from other mediums/products"? given that copyrights can protect a character's basic appearance/name/traits, I can understand why that is a problem given SE's rule... but how far can you take it? if we assume someone with a very generic name is a celebrity, will a username need to be changed despite the popularity of the first/last name beyond the celebrity? and what constitutes "celebrity"? a legal contract with a company... ? how far does that bend? but the legality regarding the situation in this topic ultimately falls further into the "is fanfiction illegal?" spectrum. if you guys want to talk about that, it's out of my ballpark -- the legal issues, anyway. --- @Tiergan -- you are 100% right. Tumblr RP has roots in fanfiction. that same era where "OMG MARY SUE" used to be thrown around at every writer who even attempted to write a female character that wasn't a canon. (hell, even canons got trashed as a Mary Sue.) of course, most of what I saw was hormonal teenagers writing fanfiction, so of course they'd be rather opinionated. (that's still the case tbh.) when you say "some guy has his OC doing stuff just as wacky/'badass' as the main characters" I say it doesn't have to feel off -- because while I agree that, say, saving the world ten times is probably a little much, I also think that for an OC to be an interesting one, they need to fit in well with the universe AND give something to it, story-wise. otherwise you have a boring OC. but that's what I see happening to so many OC players -- they're terrified of making an interesting OC because of people disliking OCs simply for the fact that they're original. and there's the inherent problem with that sort of view. thus, to skirt the "original characters can't be awesome (like the main characters)" stigma around canon characters, the OC players just settle for a boring character. in MMOs this isn't as big a problem given that all the characters RPed count as OCs anyway, but on Tumblr, where the age ranges generally younger, as an OC player you tend to end up worrying more about if this or that RPer will RP with you or not. they might not even care. they might not even try. they don't even have to try, given that RPing is for fun, but it doesn't change the fact that it hurts to be told "I won't RP with you because of my personal bias against OCs." and I see no arguments thus far that those who refuse to rp with OP's AU!Fate would be absolutely the same type of superficial stigma, but in a reverse situation. (here I am, challenging the norm again... ) --- @ArmachiA / Kage -- I'm tempted to ask why you both say MMO and tabletop RPing is too different from fandom RPing to be compared? -
Would you take an anime-esque character seriously?
SayonaraRevival replied to Lyriell's topic in RP Discussion
the average response to this thread is kind of telling about the RP community's general views, I think, at least from an outsider's point of view. )': I still haven't RPed more than once ingame and I have one forum thread, so I'm pretty sure I can count as an 'outsider'. (yet again reiterating lol) I come from Tumblr, where people RP pre-existing characters more often than not (or so my RPing experience goes). and it's the player-made characters that get all the flak there -- apparently the "OC" players are less popular due to the fact that Tumblr RPers just simply don't know the character. and, personally, I always thought that was BS anyway. sure, they get their share of the same world-breaking, lore-bending, god-modding types, but they tend to lump the player-made characters/OCs with the god-modders, and refuse to RP with them in general. and, I know people have their preferences, and RPing is a fun hobby and should stay that way -- but isn't it a bit similar to the concepts of discrimination anyway? there have been so many times I've been hurt when someone has said "you're an OC, so I don't really want to RP with you." this stings bad because of the implication that they're not RPing with me only because I'm RPing a player-made character. and that's really lame to see. implying "I'm not going to try to RP with you just because you're x or y." as a sole reason to refuse RP... is it still a preference at that point? it's got all the fallbacks of any decision based on a stereotype. yes, stereotypes exist for a reason -- but they're not always completely true. as I am reading this, the reverse seems to be true. some people say they would RP with an "AU" character (alternate universe: that's what Tumblr-land calls a different version of a canon character) but others would flat out refuse to for one reason or another. why? what's not permissible about RPing a fictional character that isn't your own? no matter what, the OP's Fate would end up different than the Fate in Nanoha itself, because it's not the original writer behind her -- that's even beyond the FFXIV version differences the OP's mentioned they will make. also, I am curious as to the problem with RPing with a name from something else. as people told me in my intro thread, using the username in RPing at all is pretty much metagaming unless the username matches the RPer's character's intended name for the character. it's not like IRL names are capable of being completely original anyway, so I can only see a problem as perceived by the act of using a name. originality is really hard to fully use -- chances are, even if you come up with something on your own, someone else will have done it in a plot, or made a character like it already, so on and so forth. really, in the music business there is a lot of borrowing chord progressions, melodies, harmonies, rhythms, everything. art is another example. for every popular artist, there's a dozen people who love their style and try to recreate, copy, or incorporate. and even in writing -- there's a ton of plagiarism in the world, along with being simply inspired. so, why is it a problem to begin with? is there an objective and definite response beside personal preference? where to draw the line between plagiarism and simple inspiration is pretty subjective in some cases. and as I see it, that's why there's hesitation in the "will you RP with this" question. (you know, besides personal preferences.) I don't know if posting my thoughts/opinions/observations on this matter is a good idea, but considering I think I've spent enough time typing this, I should probably just hit the post reply button and hope people understand what I'm trying to say. I'm not trying to pick a fight, just attempting to relay that tl;dr originality is near-impossible to attain, and a lot more people borrow concepts and ideas than one might assume. (and that it's weird to see the reverse of what I'm used to.) to the OP: I don't really mind it myself. I'd RP with Fate, provided you're not my ex who also adored Fate. anyway, you should always do whatever is fun for you -- and if whatever's fun for you includes doing what others want you to do, listening to advice, etc, then go for it. edit: STAR OCEAN 3 YEAHHHH. it had its problems for sure, but I still loved that game :') -
@LiadansWhisper... well, it's an idea for a fanfic or something, I'll give it that. :'D I'm more of the opinion that he is just hardcore protective... see: Sylphie. I'm actually having those usual tumblr RPer urges to rp him there, since I've always been just interested in canons/NPCs as I am with OCs/PCs/etc... although I have no idea how many people would care / RP FFXIV there. crossovers are probably my best bet there, lol. it's just that I haven't finished the main story yet and I'm only lv 32 or 33 (it's been a few days since I've played, thanks work) so it'll be a while. )': guess it is just a default thing, though. hmmm... how did I know just after posting something I didn't see would prove he is? these are truly the woes of a newbie. fairly dumb question aside, I still want to know if anyone has little details about these guys... that may or may not be proven or implied by lore. I mean, you've all been very helpful (thank you!) with everything else, but does any random idea / trivia tidbit come to mind? something you think is likely / would be cool / whatever?

upon reading that thread and comments on Aldotsk's idea to make an IC White Mage w/o bending lore too far -- it's made me wonder something about our friendly Conjurer's Guildmaster. and that is: does E-Sumi actually know practice succor? do ALL padjals, every single one, learn and actively practice succor? that would be my guess, but... (correct me if I'm wrong or something says otherwise) I've never seen E-Sumi mention he personally practices succor. is there a different reason he doesn't think of/personally go with Raya-O and A-Ruhn to help with that Quieting or whatever it was called (the ceremony thing to calm elementals or something) or... ? it seems like an obvious fact that he is a Conjurer at the very least but -- thus far I recall seeing no indication that he too is a proper White Mage, besides being Padjal? so I'm kind of really confused on that aspect )': IN OTHER NEWS I hope no one particularly minds RPing with a Padjal NPC outside the game, because I have basically made 90% of a character that is one. might be desiring feedback on this in the future if there is enough interest.

Perhaps slight, perhaps not -- this one held on steadfast as the mindful mister pulled himself up and tested the strength of the leg. Luckily for him, it seemed it was fine, for the moment. A good thing, since taking someone injured back to this friend with the use of only one leg was a previous... drag. An experience this one definitely had, in the past. She turned away then, leading the way to the close-by cottage in the forest's relative darkness. "This one is surprised you are this far out. My friend lives far from any villages," she commented, continuing her decidedly slow pace but glancing back at him curiously again, to be absolutely certain the man was capable of walking the whole way. "She is very smart. This one warns you not to talk back, though. She is right when it comes to many things, whether we like it or not." That was for certain -- her friend was certainly an admirable and knowledgeable one, but even this one did not necessarily enjoy unabridged honesty. Although, as she said it, another and completely unrelated thought appeared, though it was also an important one. "You can see in the dark well enough to not trip on roots, right, mister?"

this might be super picturesque in theory... but not on my graphics card. casually dicking around in Thanalan is pretty fun tho. (wow, that clipping in the second screenie tho.) I still haven't figured out what key actually hides the interface, let alone if my laptop has that key. :'D I guess I could change the keybind if I knew what it was tho. -

Gridania/Twelveswood RP Revitalization
SayonaraRevival replied to Knight Kat's topic in RP Discussion
will/would love this :') I've only had the chance to RP once in-game thus far. oops. not being sure who to contact is also part of the problem... my PC can technically travel outside the Twelveswood but probably wouldn't... and I also have a tumblr/forum-only NPC in some remote corner of it, too, if you think adding an NPC is okay? O: -
Hmm, the mysterious mister seemed grateful, and although this one would have helped regardless of the mister's attitude (she would have repeated her actions even if he had protested) it still remained pleasant to hear the efforts were appreciated in any form. -- And on another note entirely, even if mister's voice was still raspy, it sounded nice. Maybe he would sound better when he'd had a good, long drink of water and after her mentor had cleansed the poison from the body. A lovely sounding voice was a nice thing to have, and to hear. "Not to worry," she smiled at him -- another attempt at a warm and cute grin that was just a little too lopsided to pull off the girlish look properly -- and offered the hand he'd be needing to get up. Placing hers on top of his, she waited for him to grasp it fully to get up. "This one does not mind."

finally gets around to posting more. art style's in flux still. gotta love trying to draw when it doesn't even 'feel' right to draw, because the style's warpspeed to some unknown destination. this is why I don't want to open any sort of cheapo doodle commissions -- at least not until I figure out what my style is doing and start being a little more proud of what I draw instead of 19/20 doodles being "wow this looks awful". I tried to draw c'kayah 'cause that usually happens when I do RP things with people. and then had to go somewhere. and... then I came back and stared at it when I scanned it. "this is lame." but I scanned it anyway. asten plz ur being creepy again "This one thinks you are the crazy one." Asten's mentor sure is something, lol. tak-e beta design and another beta design another doodle of tak-e I'm literally terrible, passionately shipping with an NPC in an alternate-universe thing. -
want to hang out with a Keeper/fellow healer who talks kinda like a sylph? o: I don't have a whole lot written down, nor a wiki page at the moment, but I'd still love to RP with you. can kind of give you an idea what I've got so far, if needed. and, stopping by the shop is a thing I'm sure Asten can do too ~ not really sure what else to say other than that I'm hard to find ingame (not online much most of the time, if at all Thurs - Sat) so I'll just have to try to catch you after my job wraps up for the week (probs by Sunday). )':

hmm yes I usually can come up with more of these! (better late than never, right?) (also I may or may not be trying to do a stupid writing project these answers are very useful for.) 1) let's say a child has just been discovered to be Padjal. how much do we know about what happens when they are taken to Stillglade Fane? 2) what kinds of societal pressures do they presumably face just by being Padjal? 3) do we know anything about their life expectancy (whether in numbers or in comparisons?) 4) how does their whole 'learning white magic' process go? conjury first, white magic later, or... ? a lot of studying and practicing, or... ?
-
I don't know how long this will last but oh well! going to post some scribbles / art here. will start with ffxiv relevant stuff, then if peeps wanna see more I'll post non-ffxiv I guess. there is more than these four, but I have yet to scan most of it, sobs. it's depressing how lame these are compared to what I usually can do, but oh well, I guess that's what happens when you draw less than you usually do for a while. (on a side note; not currently considering commissions here, and no critique is desired unless otherwise specified. in case either thing comes up for whatever reason.)

"Hmm." Turning attention to the leg once again, she remained as impassive as she had outwardly been thus far. Must not have paid enough attention to the leg's wound, this one thought -- so, once again hovering a hand nearby it, she tapped into the feel of the bloodstream once more. Oh, dear. No wonder he looked so pained. Only a casual evaluation, this one had done; the poison lurked indeed. Wood Wailer style, too -- but instead of judging what the man may have done, she judged the poison for being there. Certainly was creeping its painful influence further into the leg than expected, so maybe he had been like this for some time... ? "This one thinks your poison is advancing too much for this one to fully handle. But not to fear, this one knows another close by who will be able to cure you." Nodding to herself, still staring at the bandaged leg, she knew well that even though her Esuna would not pull the poison out entirely at this point, it should still alleviate enough of the effect to get him to the one who could. So, this one proceeded to cast it on the leg, and then returned her gaze to the mister's face again, judging the level of pain he felt by his expression. "This one can also do another Cure on your leg, mister, if you need it to walk."
-
will I remember these for very long? I hope so. sometimes I forget about my own characters' details/quirks D: ❧ Asten tends to refer to herself as 'this one' sometimes, though other times using 'me/myself/I' instead. Gee, I wonder where she picked up this habit? ❧ She was taught to read on the same few books, plus her mentor's handwriting, so while she is mostly literate, she might not have accurate spelling on those long words. ❧ What is personal space? Asten doesn't know the answer to that one. Most of the time, she doesn't have any reason to get that close, but at the same time, most others don't give her any reason to, either. ❧ Tends to prefer to take small naps throughout the day if she has to be up before late afternoon. Daylight tires her out easily, as a Keeper. Thus, if she is in a town at daytime, she usually takes at least one nap somewhere (whether in an inn, on a ledge, or otherwise outside.) ❧ Was taught not to discriminate in using healing conjury; she may revere the elementals just like anyone else, but it doesn't stop her from healing those that the elementals haven't approved to live in the Shroud -- or even asking. This also leads to that she would be likely to heal anyone who is wounded, even Garleans (although if they have their fancy armor suits on, it's a little hard to help them.) * ❧ Like her mentor, Asten is honest to a fault, not hesitating to spout her opinion on something, even though the majority of those she speaks with don't even want her opinion. * It's worth noting that someone who is obviously Garlean, or has mentioned being Garlean, would still be watched carefully. She does hold a much smaller amount of bias against them due to being raised outside of public influence for the most part -- but wouldn't know who is who in their society, so she would judge them based on their outward actions.

This one didn't even move away while she tilted her head slightly to the left to continue staring. Not at first, anyway, not until she blinked slowly moments later and deemed the man very much alive. Fares the mister well that the wake-up tactic worked! Now, leaning back to resting on her feet in the kneeling position, at a more proper two and a half fulms away, her tail waved a bit and hands rested in her lap as she kept her relaxed expression for another moment of watching and appraising condition. "Does the leg hurt now, mister?" Although it is said gently like the previous shake on the shoulder, this one draws out the word 'mister' just a little longer than ordinary. The moonlight's glow, filtering in patches from the trees above and shining softly behind this one, may have given her white hair an ethereal quality -- or maybe just a ghostly, creepy quality instead. This one thought she looked very nice in the night's light source at any time, though. Much better than the very pale look she had in the daytime.

"Well, well, well... " When one spent their life learning the way of the forest, it became simple matters to make observations about it. If, say, a tree was suffering the beginning of a disease, it would be easy to notice that. As a student of conjury, this one was more than adept at finding such oddities. And even easier than that were anomalies. A thin smile crossed this one's face. It wasn't simply the ability to scope out an abnormality in the forest that let her know of the presence of a stranger, an outsider -- but also the inherent heightened sense of smell. When her nose picked up the smell of blood, and the simple feel of the forest seemed just a little off, this one had known right away that an outsider -- not a forestborn -- had wandered in and gotten hurt somehow. Whatever this outsider's reasons for being here were, this one had always been taught to help others. No matter who the 'others' were. And so it came to this one's attention that, yes, this outsider needed assistance. She was looking down at a Seeker man, appearing dirt-covered, injured and potentially unconscious; certainly not the way many people would enjoy being met in. Kneeling down, this one allowed her pupils to widen to take in more moonlight as she scanned the man's body for the bleeding injury. Sniffing the air around him perhaps just a bit too closely for another's conscious comfort -- the normal forest aroma of plant life and dirt, with the underlying individual smells -- the scent of blood seemed concentrated more around the lower half, or more precisely, that leg with more soil caked around it. Well, this one guessed that investigating circumstances could wait until the other one was in a more stable condition. As she decided that, focusing her gaze on the reddish spot, putting down the bag she kept on her backpack, full of the necessities anybody needed when potentially encountering danger, this one stared intently at the dirty spot. It was quite clearly a very painful wound, obvious from this close proximity. To get an idea of what was truly occuring in the body, she hovered a hand over the wound -- a Conjurer who learned to see the ailments of the body just as well as the ailments of the forest was a successful one -- and noted that this man had definitely come into contact with Wood Wailers recently. The body spoke volumes of that encounter being a less-than-friendly one, with the wound of an arrow and an infection brewing. Taking out a simple canteen of water, this one poured a decent amount to wash the majority of the dirt off the wound. The bleeding had seemed to cease before she had arrived, perhaps luckily for him. Perhaps running water of a river would be more sensible to use, but that wasn't an option without moving the man. She followed it with a good rub of infection-fighting herbal gel that her mentor taught her to make, as applied by the soft cloth pad, and followed that with the clean and proper bandage. This one believed the man would be fine with the proper care; but to get him to the proper care (and she knew just the thing) he would need to be able to walk a little. Hence, a quick use of Cure on the leg, for temporary pain relief. But, before she were to raise his consciousness back from the depths of his mind, maybe she should see if he would wake up normally. "Mister, waking up is desirable if you'd like to recover." Cue a poking of the face and a gentle shake on the shoulder, as a young and curious Keeper stared, relaxed as can be, maybe a single fulm away from his face; while personal space was a foreign concept to this one, she still knew there was use in shock value for waking the sleepy.
