  1. **A neatly folded sheet of parchment is delivered to your headquarters. It has a beautifully hand-drawn boarder of neatly intertwining lines that outlines the entire sheet.** Greetings, my name is Manari Onai and I write to you and your company on behalf of Oskar Helvig and the Everwatch. The purpose of this letter is to inform you and your company of a meeting intended to gather together the leaders of the Everwatch, Sentinel's Ark, Misericorde, and Corvus Cinis. The intended time of this meeting is four suns from now, at the twenty-first bell. The location for the meeting will be the Everwatch camp stationed at the Hyrstmill in the Black Shroud. --Everwatch External Affairs-- ~~Manari Onai~~ [spoil]This meeting is intended to be on Thurday May 10, at 9:00 pm EST, at Hyrstmill. You can contact me or Oskar if you have any questions or that time doesn't work for you.[/spoil]
  2. Looks like fun! I can't wait for Leviathan!
  3. Everwatch Monthly Update VI (March '12) The master plan is set in motion Hello, everyone! This time it is I, Manari, bringing you the monthly update for the month of March 2012. (Technically, from Feb 20th and onwards but who's counting?) We've had a lot of things happen in these weeks, and I'm going to try and cover most of it! A big part of what Everwatch has been doing these weeks is undergoing mandatory Woodswatch training. This training is a five session course of varying types of training all designed and constructed by our very own Syesta. These five courses have our members learning everything they need to know about how and why we protect the Twelveswood, and teaching them the skills they need to do so. Syesta has done a fantastic job in putting these together and instructing us through them. Each of the five courses has been very different and unique and many of the ideas Syesta has implemented in them have been very impressive, and a lot of fun to RP through! The Everwatch has gotten involved in a rather serious matter with a group of poachers called The Vultures. What started out as a seemingly straight forward contract to round up some poachers for the Twin Adder, has ended with a horrible display of the sick nature of these poachers, who were skinning people alive! The Everwatch didn't find much other than several skinned corpses, and one skinned man that still lived. In his mouth was stuffed a chilling message, a message specifically for the Everwatch! It said that our skins would be valuable as well. They knew the Everwatch was coming, and set that grotesque scene up just for them. This story arc is far from over, so look forward to where it goes from here! The newest scout in the Watch, my very own Manari, laid out a mission to scout out and explore the farthest reaching Aetherial gates of the Black Shroud, along with Eva. The expedition proved to be challenging and difficult, but it also served to bring out the deepest fears of both Manari and Kailee as they progressed past both drakes and bridges over water. Oskar felt that they had things holding them back and needed to get them out in the open so they could start to face them together. This was the first time Manari had ever told anyone the tragedy of her past. And speaking of Manari, she's caused a bit of a stir within the Watch recently. Everything has calmed down now for the most part, but for a while there she was nearly kicked out without so much as a mention of it to anyone else in Everwatch! For details you can check out her journal. One of the Everwatch's veteran members had her big day this month! That's right, Nel and her fiance Isilme were married this month, and held the ceremony twice to allow everyone to attend. It is my understanding that the pre-wedding party was quite a riot as well. So a big congratulations to Nel and Isilme! It's not all war and training in the Everwatch. Not at all, in the effort to make a difference in the lives of Eorzea's children, Everwatch hosted a big event to help heal the sick children of Ul'dah. This event was not-for-profit and everyone is asked to pitch in and do their part for the kids. We had performers entertaining the crowds, our cooks made meals for everyone, and of course the best healers we have done all they can for the kids. It's these kinds of things that will show the people of Eorzea that the Everwatch is not just your run of the mill band of Mercs. They are a group of very capable people who are going to make a real difference in this world. Of course, you can't always win, and that's true even here in the Everwatch. We had to postpone a contract to deal with a large group of powerful drakes due to being understaffed that evening, and we had several battles against the Primal Ifrit, who yet still refused to be defeated recently. Members Let's give a warm welcome to our newest members! Rhapsody Mnhir Mihana Maelara Kristiana This batch, make no mistake about it, will provide Oskar with a giant headache! And really, isn't that what life is all about? Let's help them fit in and include them in our RP storylines. Also major props to all our current members for really stepping up over the past month and contributing more than ever to the LS! Monthly Mentions (And this is by Oskar) Poll of the month: This month we asked our members what their characters thought about the recent proposal to expand Everwatch into Ulâdah. Remain in the Twelveswood: 2 votes Stay in the Shroud â for now: 3 votes Make steps toward expansion: 4 votes It seems the characters are fairly split on the issue and itâll be fun to see what happens regarding this decision in the coming month! Report of the month: Oskarâs report on the Vultures. If you need someone to hold you at night because you cannot sleep, you know who to call. Journal of the month: This month features an awesome new member, who took the time to pen this whole update~~~~~ Manari! I really dig how she used the musical score through out the entry, and her take on everything, being in the middle of this little predicament, was very refreshing to read! A Look Forward Everwatch continues to grow, which is amazing because now we can start to really do things which seemed hard before without enough (active) members, such as some endgame and of course group RP/storylines. We hope to continue this process while juggling between several loose ends weâve got right now, with regard to RP. With the Task Board back up and running for individual character development, players and their characters bonding and working together on smaller group projects, an LS storyline making steps forward, and plans for a larger story which would involve all Linkshells who are willing to participate, weâve got more than enough on our plate until next month! So until then, opo-opos!
  4. Here are a few screenshots of Manari: Manari is very short, even by Miqo'te standards. She has a very sweet disposition, and will almost always be smiling. I never intended on RPing her with a large chest, but Square Enix saw fit to give her one. So yeah, her bust size is very large by Miqo'te standards, even if that was never my intention... She's very slender and toned from her training and work as a huntress and scout. She doesn't have any tatoos or major scars. She has very big innocent looking dark green eyes and a childlike face. She has long fangs, like all Keepers of the moon, and her tribal face markings are so slight, you'd almost not notice them. Just two very small lines under her eyes that are almost the same color as her very very pale skin.. Her hair is a very light, almost glowing white-blonde color that almost looks like it gives off a glow in the moonlight. She is very expressive with her ears and tail. Her ears always match her emotions, whether they perk up in when she's excited or lay flat when she's scared. Her tail is also usually very animated, swaying back and forth without her realizing she's doing it. She's very modest and very naive, so for a pose, you can do whatever works best artisticly, but she'd probably either be nervous, or not understand exactly what she's gotten involved in.
  5. Do you mind if we throw another Miqo'te in the pile? These are the kinds of ideas that keep everything fun! >^.^< I would say Manari would never actually do this, but a woman tried to take her home just the other night, so I guess anything can happen! If it's ok to add another pair of catears and a tail to the picture, then I can have several screenshots and a description ready!
  6. I don't usually see too many f-bombs being dropped, but from time to time certain members can tend to get out of hand or become a little overly inappropriate. But it's not really all that bad usually. And if someone tells the people involved to tone it down they normally will comply. Overall I think the LS is a good thing and I'm glad I have it for when my LS isn't active at the moment, since I usually play so late into the night.
  7. I have been trying to look up info on everything that's changed since launch, but it seems most places are out of date on FFXIV info. But just logging in and making my new character I can see a lot of differences already. I loved FFXI more than any person probably should and I really really wanted FFXIV to do well. That's why when I played the game in its original state, it hurt me so much to see the game like that. So it's my deepest and sincerest hopes that everyone will give FFXIV the 2nd chance it deserves. I still actively play FFXI on the Ragnarok server. If their was ever a unofficial RP server in FFXI, I never knew about it.
  8. Hello everyone! I just recently discovered your wonderful group of roleplayers and thought it would be the perfect excuse to finally put FFXI down and give FFXIV another try. Like every die hard FFXI player, I played the beta, and picked the game up at launch. But of course it had many issues and I decided to wait until the game was a little more complete, and I went back to FFXI. Now I'm a girl that absolutely loves roleplaying, but I've never found much of it in FFXI. But FFXI is my favorite MMO world and it's always been a dream of mine to roleplay in it. Well I think FFXIV is the next best thing, plus the characters, animation, and environments all are so beautiful! I'm very excited! >^o^< MMORPG history My first every MMO was Final Fantasy XI. I fell in love with it. I've never had a game give me such a wide range of emotions before. I played it a LOT, and currently still do. I will always treasure my memories with this game forever. I've taken many many breaks from it, but I always find myself eventually returning. On some of those breaks, I've played a few other popular MMOs. I've played a lot of World of Warcraft, of course. I did quite a bit of RP'ing there, it was the most fun I had with that game. I played Aion for a few weeks. And I think that's about it. The rest of the MMO's I played for less than a few days and I don't even count them. RP experience Roleplaying is something I've been doing for years through various mediums. I started out doing my first roleplaying a very long time ago through some forums I was a part of and it involved a high fantasy setting, similar to something like Lord of the Rings. After that I moved on to roleplaying on an anime forum I was very involved in, even playing up to 3 different characters in the same RP at once! (It was a Rurouni Kenshin RP, if you were curious.) Then I think I hit a dry spell with my roleplaying. I got heavily involved in FFXI, but never got the chance to RP in it... But boy, did I want to! A few years later I was on a break from FFXI and gave WoW a shot. It was quick, easy, and fun. I did get bored of it rather quickly, but it was there that I tried out a RP server for the first time ever. I had a ton of fun with it. My RP guild would use an empty tavern they had in Stormwind as our base and I would even serve random players that walked in and sat down beer and such. I loved it. It wasn't just typing words on a forum now. I had a visible character that I could emote with and talk through. It brought the RP experience higher for me. And that's why I'm so excited to start roleplaying in FFXIV. It's very much like the world of FFXI I so love, but much more beautiful! How I learned about the Coalition I kept seeing one of the servers in FFXIV referred to as the "unoffical RP server", so I did some searching around online and this was the site I found! I've been doing a little reading around on your site and I love what I'm seeing. This is exactly what I've been looking for and am very excited to become an active member of your community! >^.^< What kind of Roleplayer I am: When I RP, I love to really get deep into it. I'm fine with moderate RP'ing, but I also love to get into heavy RP as well! Everything from sitting around town relaxing, running through the landscape, rushing to save someone, or staying strictly in character in the heart of battle. I love the roleplay, and I love being in character. >^.^< That's not to say I will never say anything OOC, of course! I love to play all kinds of roles. I don't really prefer to stick with any one kind of character all the time, because taking on different types of roles is why RPing is so fun! That said, I do usually prefer to play female characters, as I am a female. The real-life me? I'm a 25 year old girl who works her butt off all day and just wants to relax and escape to her exciting fantasy world when she gets home. As such, I'll normally be on later in the evening until pretty late, as thats when I have free time. Occasionally on a day off I'll get a chance to be on during the day, but that doesn't happen to often. That about does it, I think. I'm very excited to see some or all of you in game and get into some roleplaying!
