I /love/ the new design Mtoto! The autumn look is beautiful and that scythe turned out just perfect. I absolutely love how you made it look like the Twin Adder Grand Company weapons, made from the green metal. That is just awesome. This is a great picture.

Eva is right, I personally love the green. I've always thought Manari looked natural in green. It goes with her eyes and she's always in the Shroud, too. But I realize this picture is also Menphina, who's element is ice, so the blue makes sense too. Both of them suit the picture very well, but I am partial to the green. Either way this picture is looking absolutely perfect! I still think you made her hair exactly how I wish it looked in game. It's so beautiful.

It's gorgeous Mtoto! I can't wait to see how the others turn out!

I love your picture of Manari! Thank you so much for drawing her! She's beautiful and the flowers look perfect with her hair. And speaking of her hair, I love the way you drew it! I've always wished I could give her longer hair in-game and that looks just perfect. You have amazing art and I'll treasure your picture of my character, thank you.

Oh wow! That picture is absolutely /gorgeous/! I can't wait to see it colored! You do such a great job with these.
-
These are all so good! And you can do them so quickly too? That's really amazing. Your style is so pretty, too.

EDIT: I have no idea why my post looks like that or how to fix it! It won't stop coming out like that no matter how much I edit it. Admin edit: Fixed. You had an unnecessary "." in your font code. Okay! I've made a little gallery with reference pics in it. I've never used this site, so I hope this works! Reference pics http://imgur.com/a/VS9QC Short description: Manari is a shy and naive. She's sweet and always tries to keep a smile on her face. She has bright white -blonde hair and very white pale skin to compliment it. She is short by Miqo'te standards, and very light on her feet. She prefers to use either archery, 2 daggers, or a 2handed axe in battle. She also has 2 very large hawks that she trained herself. Manari, as you can see from the reference pics, is almost always found in the Twelveswood. Let me know if you need any more info!

I got a WiiU for Christmas just to play MH3U online. I'm beyond excited for it and I'm happy to see such a following for the game here at the RPC! Anyone with the WiiU version should all get together and hunt! I can't wait to play it. Oh, did you need any more info on Manari for the MH icon?

Hello! I love your art, it's such a cool and unique style! If you aren't full up I would be honored to have Manari drawn by you.

I am a huge Monster Hunter fan, and I love this idea. I love the Monster Hunter style icons in the games. Manari Onai, is my character name. Manari was born and raised deep in the Twelveswood in a tribe of Miqo'te Keepers of the Moon. She excels at archery, using an axe, and two daggers. She has very light blonde hair, pale white skin, is short and cute and sweet. Also naive. Anything you want to know about manari, feel free to ask. She's a sweetheart, but she'll also break your heart, too. Interesting and completely true story I just wanted to add here since this IS Monster Hunter we are talking about. Manari's back story was completely influenced by Monster Hunter because when I started RPing back in Jan 2011, I was heavily into my import copy of Monster Hunter Portable 3rd. Her tribe was almost completely wiped out by drakes, the closest thing FFXIV had to Monster Hunter-like monsters. I've added and tweaked her story a lot since then, but that's where it all started.

Ooooh, how fun that will be. I'll start thinking of Manari's nickname tonight. I have a few good ideas.
-
I have the game and will begin practicing at nights when the rest of you sleep... Hm hm hm... Ha ha ha ha.... HAHAHAHAHA!!! (Iori Yagami)
-
As soon as I get the game, hopefully next week, I will be practicing and ready to play against any of you who want to fight!
-
Good luck on getting picked, everyone. I look forward to seeing these completed. I wish THF or NIN was in FFXIV.

Manari looked at Eva for a few ticks after speaking, and realized her attempts at friendly conversation seemed unwanted at this time. She sat back a bit and glanced around the camp for a moment. A small frown formed on her face as she looked down and stared at the tea cup in her hands. She was starting to wonder if she should quietly excuse herself when she heard the rustle of leaves and turned to see the two strangers step out of the trees. She gave each one a small glance and a friendly nod, but didn't say anything this time. She raised the tea cup to her lips to take a sip as Eva greeted them.
-
Manari smiled warmly to the male as she thought about her plans for a moment while the others answered. She looked up at the canopy of leaves as she finally had a chance to respond. "I was planning on returning to the house in Gridania tonight... but honestly, another night or two under the trees sounds really nice too. " She looked around the camp site again, the warm aroma of the meal they were sharing still in the air. She began to think for a moment about perhaps offering to walk with Aysun back to Gridania, when Eva addressed her again, and she turned all her attention to her to listen, a warm smile on her face. She nodded in agreement with her and briefly looked back up at the trees. "Oh, yes. I couldn't go on living if I couldn't take the time to be out here on a regular basis. I need the Twelvesood. " She picked up just slightly on the tone of Eva's final comment, looking down to see her expression. She wasn't sure it was anything or not, and in a group like this, especially with a brand new face, was not the best time to inquire. She waited a moment and turned to E'iri, smiling gently, and fidgeting with the long strands of hair that framed her face. "What about yourself, Eiri?"
-
Manari's expression dropped a bit as they all talked of nasty beasts. She had to quickly push the returning thoughts of the glowing red eyes and bright burning scales from her mind before it started to effect her mood. Had E'iri not been completely focused solely on Aysun, she could have added a few words of her own about the horrors in the wild that she herself had come across, but she thought she should reserve them for when they might be more likely heard. She sat a moment and had almost finished the tea as she heard Eva speak. She had seen the ocean herself only recently too, and it was quite a sight to behold indeed. She nodded in agreement silently as Eva turned her attention to her, and her ears suddenly perked up as she was addressed directly. She smiled to Eva warmly and placed a hand over her belly. Her loose fitting clothing easily hid the small bump she had only recently developed. "Oh! Well, I'm not sure if this is a good sign or a bad sign, but the other sun all I wanted to eat was cottage cheese... " She winces and wraps both arms around her belly now. "...so much cottage cheese... ugh..." She smiles shyly and blushes a bit. "Um... b-but, everything seems to be just fine."
-
Manari sat mostly in silence as no one had really responded to anything she had said, nor was she one to butt into a conversation. She accepted a cup of tea from Eva, never one to turn it down when made by her, and sipped it as she watched E'iri move closer to Aysun. After a few moments the smell of the meat had proved too tempting and she decided to partake of a bit of it, taking a small chunk of the delicious smelling meat and biting at it a little piece at a time. Her ears perked up as she tasted it, and she made a small sound of approval. She watched E'iri and Aysun again, wondering if Aysun would mind him getting that close to her. He didn't seem that much younger than herself, yet he appeared to have never been out of the Twelveswood. She smiled softly at him as she realized she would still be the exact same as him if things had stayed the same in her own life.
-
Manari tried to give Aysun her most sincere smile, but didn't push anything further with her. She walked around and sat on the other side of Eva, able to look at all three of the others easily. She kept her smile on as she listened to Eva and E'iri speak a bit and waited for a pause to join in the conversation. As she sat, she removed the axe she wore across her back and set it on the ground beside her. Her forest-green cotton tabard perfectly matched both her eyes and the scenery around them, not to mention her deep green earrings and the ring she wore on her left hand. It would be easily guessed that green was Manari's favorite color. She hummed a soft melody to herself as she made herself a little more comfortable for sitting. As Eva offered E'iri some of the delicious smelling meat, Manari took the small pause in the speaking to try and make the obviously nervous male Miqo'te hopefully a bit more at ease. She nodded in agreement with Eva's words about living in Gridania. "I also have a home in Gridania that I stay at, but I'm much more at home out here. I get restless if I can't spend a few nights out under the canopy of trees. I was just out hunting when I smelled Eva's purfume and her wonderful meal... " She looked around quickly, hoping that she wouldn't come off as rambling. She decided to leave it at that unless it seemed more of her talking would be welcome. She hadn't seen the two women in a some time and wanted to catch up, but she also wanted to help the male feel a bit more welcome as well.
-
Manari's ear's perked up as Eva addressed her directly, and she gave a bit of a shy smile to the group. She stepped forward, and gave Eva a smile and a slight bow, then turned to Aysun and did the same. She gave the male a warm, if a little shy, smile and bowed to him as well. "Hello Lady Eva. I thought it might be you here, I wanted to say hi. And h-hello, Aysun. It's nice to see you again... um... h...how have you been? " She smiled nervously and turned to the one she didn't know yet. She could tell from his scent that he lived here in the Twelveswood, much like herself. "Hello there, my name is Manari. Oh, I suppose Lady Eva already said my name. You live here in the Twelveswood, right?" Her nose casually sniffed at the meal cooking. Roast dodo happened to be one of her favorites, and the spices she could smell Eva using seemed to smell wonderful. She didn't want to intrude, but she felt she would have a hard time turning the meal down, especially if it meant they could all sit and talk for a while. That was something she had missed a great deal.

[spoil]Eva, let me know if Eva isn't wearing her lilac perfume and I'll change my post, I kinda just assumed she was.[/spoil] Two loud shrill hawk screeches could be heard throughout the surrounding area of the Twelveswood. Two large long tailed hawks swooped overhead, circling in a wide flight pattern, swooping through the canopy of leaves overhead with ease. Two quick separate piercing whistles cut through the forest and the larger of the two hawks ascends up into the trees out of sight, and the othe hawk circles once more swooping down to the forest floor, and slowing its decent to perch on the arm of young looking female Miqo'te. The Miqo'te smiles softly, reaching with her other hand to gently pet the bird, which lets out another lower, more quiet call. She smiles to the bird and whistles again, and the hawk takes off into the trees, following after the first. The Miqo'te girl began to walk towards the city, leaving the wilderness of the deeper area of the Twelveswood. Her long light platinum-blonde hair was braided on the sides and pulled into two twin tails in the back. Her bangs framed her youthful face perfectly and the light color of her hair was a perfect compliment to her pale white skin. Her bright green eyes expertly scanned the forest. She made her way towards the city of Gridania, heading north to reach it. Her purposes out in the forest were many and also few all at once. She had a home in Gridania, but being born and raised deep in the Twelveswood, she felt her true home was out here. The mercenary company she had belonged to, sworn to protect the woods, had recently disbanded, and left with no income she fended for herself much of the time, so as not to be a burden on her new family in Gridania. It wasn't difficult for her, as she was raised to be a huntress and tracker for her Keeper tribe. As she neared the camp on her way to the city, the scent of roasting dodo was obvious and wonderful. She would just continued on, as she had recently eaten fish from the streams deeper in the woods, except that the familiar scent of lilac was in the air, and she thought she may know who was at the camp. As she was within sight of the campfire, she picked up another familiar scent, along with a new one as well. She thought it smelled almost like a male. She kept walking, if only to satisfy her own curiosity about the source of the scent, wanting to see if she was right. Soon, ahead of her, she could see the familiar face of Lady Eva. She could see she was right about the male, a shorter male Miqo'te stood talking to her with hair and a complexion similar to her own. She then noticed the third person was Aysun, and wondered what she was doing here in the Twlveswood. She now approached a little more shyly after noticing all the company that Lady Eva had.

Thank you so much for allowing me into the project, Deir. >^.^< At 13, Manari still looked a bit younger than that. She wouldn't have really started to develop yet, and she'd be pretty short and slender. She has innocent bright green eyes, a very very pale white skin color and bright platinum blonde hair to go along with it. At 13, she would have just really started to get into her training as a huntress in her tribe, learning the bow and the dagger. She would likely be wearing her huntress attire, which would be something like a yukata, only with earth tones. Manari's favorite color is green, so her hunting yukata was green. She would have leather kote on her hands, nothing but her undergarments (hidden under the yukata) on her legs, and a pair of leather sune-ate on her feet.

Oh good. I hope I can be a part of the next one.

Everwatch Monthly Update IX (June â12) Lessons in leadership Greetings, everyone! Manari here, bringing you this monthâs update. The Everwatch has had a lot of things happen this month, and Iâm going to try and talk about as much of it as I can! For this month, Oskar Helvig has decided to take a step back and find a new Archonte. Everyone congratulate Selene Artemis, the newest of Everwatchâs leaders. With Oskar stepping back, other members have been posting their own events. Good job to all members who have been working to keep the RP flowing! Selene: Syesta has stepped down from the position of Woodswatch leader and left a void that still needs a strong Everwatch member to fill it. Itâs a great opportunity for anyone who has the time and the talent to take it and make it something great. With Nelâs progressing pregnancy and Eva dropping the job of Quartermaster, a shift in occupations has happened. Nel has taken up the job of Quartermaster, as it is something her very pregnant character can still handle, leaving Oskar to conduct all of this monthâs training programs. So everyone let Nel know if you need any supplies or specific equipment and she can start the process of getting it for you. Speaking of Nelâs little one, we should all get to meet her very soon! The story of Nelâs past and her curse was finally concluded this month. Everwatch members including Eva and Manari, along with Naiad as well, all worked hard to figure out ways to help Nel remove her curse. It was concluded in a big event where many people gathered in wait capture or kill the man responsible for Nelâs curse. The event ended with Nel being fully cured, and the evil Reilandles losing his head to Isilmeâs blade. It was also discovered that Syesta was in love with Reilandes and vanished from the Everwatch without a trace before we could learn any more. As of now, sheâs still out there somewhere. The Everwatch was able to collect the large bounty on Reilandles as well, so all in all it was mostly all happy ending⦠Now we just need to bring Syesta back home again. The Everwatch has been escorting a lot of supply caravans to Hyrstmill this month, and Hamlet Defense, along with trying a few other endgame events such as the King Moogle fight and of course Ifrit as well. We have members stepping up to set these kinds of events up now as well, so good work to all of them. Just recently this month we struck a deal with the Maelstrom to begin an expansion for the Everwatch into Limsa Lominsa. The deal has the Everwatch completing a few tasks free of charge to earn trust and show our ability to get things done, then weâll receive real work from that side of Eorzea. Itâs a big opportunity for the Everwatch to increase our presence, and we have a few members from that side of the world who are ready to take charge and make it happen. This will be the establishment of the Seawatch. Our Offensive Coordinator, Keisuna, has set up a series of training events that will be getting together to do group leves. If youâd like to get a few levels on something and canât be bothered to take time out of RPing to run around alone, then check the event schedule for when Keisuna has set these up and have some fun RPâing while doing leves. And also, we finally have the very detailed and very nicely put together set of Everwatch HQ floor plans! Everyone should thank Eva for drawing these amazingly detailed and very handy diagrams. If you ever had trouble visualizing what the inside of the HQ looked like, now you simply just reference the floor plans and you can see exactly where your character is standing and where they would need to go. These will help a lot in detailed RP inside the HQ. Members: Our membership continues to grow! We are getting a lot of potentially good RPers that are applying with us these days. Letâs welcome this monthâs new members! Morin Shamad Olivier Lara Arky Vaelyn Monthly Mentions: This monthâs poll asks the members if they think everyone should be required to take up any DoL or DoH classes to be a member of Everwatch. The results were pretty much a landslide: Yes, every member should be required to take up both DoH and DoL: 0 votes Yes, every member should be required to take up DoH only: 0 votes Yes, every member should be required to take up DoL only: 1 vote Encourage every member to take up non-combat jobs, but not require: 10 votes Do not require any DoH or DoL class leveling: 1 vote The poll certainly shows that everyone believes that the Everwatch shouldnât dictate what classes your character needs to have leveled, but also says that suggestions should certainly be given. I think most of us will level a few of these anyway. Report of the Month: This report comes to us from our Offensive Coordinator, Keisuna. It details the plan of attack she laid out for her very first offensive operation after joining the Everwatch. I like the diagrams and description that detail the plan of attack. Keisuna's Report: Journal of the Month: This is a heartfelt journal entry from a woman who was writing it on what she thought could very well be her last night alive. This journal goes into emotional detail on many of the relationships and friendships that she has established up to this point, and I think it's very touching to read. Nel's Journal: A Look Ahead: In the coming month the establishment of Seawatch should provide for some new RP opportunity for the members of the Everwatch, and also expect the Woodswatch to continue to make a comeback and hopefully achieve one of it's long time goals.
