The main two (*whisper - altoholic - whisper*) that I've been thinking of are a Hyur Gladiator (who would most likely become a Paladin. I love Paladin characters). I just love the sword and shield feel, and the role-play possibilities of the class. However, I have also wanted a Miqo'te who would eventually become a Ninja. There's a character idea for role-play that I've had floating around in my head that she can hear exceptionally well (this is a real life thing known as having 'golden ears') and because of that, can be a superb spy. Plus it's playing on those ears of theirs. Eventually, I want a Hyur Black Mage as well.

I've been having a bad day, a head-holding, sobbing, depression and anxiety filled day. So Jen and I talked, and she cheered me up, and she suggested we have a tent night. [align=justify] We have a fenced in garden in the backyard, which right now is just dirt because... Utah. That's why. So we set up the tent, moved the fire pit into the garden and will sit out there with the fire, and manga, and journals, and tarot cards and a good board game or a few. I can't wait. Just escaping with her, sitting outside, doing nothing but enjoying the silence and the open space. It's bliss.[/align]

Just crashed into a huge ball of crying and frustration. Depression, over $2,000 in debt, unsure if we can pay bills this month ($400-ish), upset I can't work (disabled), out of anti-depressants (they cost $1,009 until I can get on Medicaid.)

So, we've just started watching Pokémon! (It's my first time, Jen's watched a bit in the past.) I'm excite because I know I'll have my OC trainer eventually. I'm eagerly awaiting an Eevee (my fav.) [align=center][/align] I will say that I don't like Misty, though. Not yet anyway.

Perfectly said, Alothia! hauntmedoitagain, I can say that I use gifs often, and they often portray me perfectly. Me, or my humor, or my beliefs. I can understand not using them in this discussion or that one, but I wouldn't rule them out all together. They do have their purpose for some of us.

So. 7th page. From what I've gathered, I think everyone should just lighten up. It's a forum, and some people express themselves with words, some with gifs, some with both. Gifs aren't harmful, unless they break a rule (racist, sexual, etc.) If you don't like them, ignore them, or maybe the mods can make a rule to spoiler them with a gif tag. That way you won't have to see them. This entire post hasn't moved. The mods said they're going to review the wording. Maybe they'll make a change. But everyone is just arguing the same points over and over, burying the advice and thoughts given.

If people have such an issue with gifs, why not let each OP decide if gifs are welcome or not in their thread? Then, if someone does use a gif, then they get a warning. I dunno. Just a thought.

It's totally important to call out those in charge of a community when you feel their decisions are incorrect. But, there's a difference between calling them out and insulting/baiting them. One is productive, the other triggers an immediate defensive response. I think you're right to speak up, but I do think you should change the title of the thread. Just my $0.02. I agree with Liadan. Like I said a moment ago, there's a big difference between mature discussion and jumping to something as serious as a police state (and or baiting). I mentioned a petition for this reason. That way, the community can rally to change something if they feel it's incorrect. Note: I will admit that I definitely have been in communities with a rules that I felt were too strict. But I still followed them. Eventually, they did change.

1000% this. I agree with every single word of Dogberry's post. Please allow me to add this: If you don't like how something is being done? Start a petition. I think memes should be allowed in threads, unless you're trying to derail them, just like what was mentioned above. I'm a meme person, and a wordy person. Anyway, I've seen several threads in off-topic so far that are drama bait (some about the mods, some aren't), when instead you can contact the mods and discuss what's going on with them, if it's a situation they can handle, you know? Also, I was about ready to leave RPC for a while, because of the negativity I saw, but then I realized - this will pass, and be the change you want to see in the community. With the right attitude and actions, there's a lot that can be done.

My father-in-law is home from the hospital! Also, Jen and I started watching Pokemon AND downloaded and installed the Pixelmon mod for Minecraft.

So~o~o~o, this thread is a little old, but... I was going to make an anime and manga thread, but did a search first and here I am. I know some communities prefer making new threads instead of necroing old threads, so if that's the case, I'll gladly make my own. Basically, I am a huge fucking otaku and not just anime and manga wise, but all around. I love Japan, both old and modern. Jen and I have wanted to visit at least, maybe even more there. I feel homesick for a place I've never been, when I see pictures and I mean just every day stuff, or hear people talk about the events. Anyway, anime and manga! Anime: My absolute favorite: Death Note. Followed by: Sailor Moon and Sailor Moon Crystal. I also really love: Attack on Titan, Love Live, Ouran High School Host Club, Maid-Sama, Gourmet Girl Graffiti, and WataMote. Those I started with, I still love and they are very special to me: Trigun, Inuyasha and Neon Genesis Evangelion. Manga: ALL THE DEATH NOTE! Again, my favorite. Followed by: Black Butler, which Jen and I just started. *hugs the series and squeals* I also really love: Vampire Knight, Chibi Vampire, Ouran High School Host Club, Kitchen Princess, Phantom Thief Jeanne, Sakura Hime and Yu-gi-oh. I am oddly addicted to kimi ni todoke. I just started Fushigi yûgi (very good), Revolutionary girl Utena (interesting), Shujo chara (kawaii) and one that I am especially interested in is Umineko, when they cry. So, share yours! Let's bring this thread back to life.
