Wanting to become a little more involved into the community, I've decided to post here. I am a years-experienced roleplayer, and most the details you'll be able to find posted on my forum page for Elear Morierea. Given I am still fairly low level and stuck in Gridania (a situation I have been working to remedy my past few days I've been back), it's proving to be difficult to find folks to interact with. So, I have decided to throw together a little post here to put some ideas out and see if I can find some folks to fit. Patrons: My primary character concept is that of a Fortune Teller. It's a passion I've had R/T for several years and I rather enjoy translating tarot readings into roleplay. It is, however, a little difficult to read cards when you haven't got a querent. My secondary, yet equally as influencing concept, would be that of a 'Witch' similar to Matoya from the original Final Fantasy. Again, kinda hard to portray such a role without those injured, needing some sort of mystical draft or guidance. Partners: As I've said - I am fairly new to the game, and moving toward White Mage. I'd love to meet up with some folks that would like to play on an OOC level just as much as an IC one. I have a long standing need in both aspects to be the best healer I can be, regardless of where I am. This could be easily managed with the right Free Company, or even down to a duo / close-knit collaboration, I'm open to either idea. I'd love to learn more Lore both IC'ly and OOC'ly, too. I have left my character's back story fairly open ended, long term memory being mostly shrouded in loss due to an enhancement to her oracular ability and affinities toward healing magics. This leaves room for old business and ties to come calling and cause havoc - debts owed, grudges due to prank hexing, estranged or left behind family, old flames. I'm open to working things into Elear's background to strengthen it. With all the interest invested toward the wide variety of means to heal someone, she's gotten some ideas in mind to see how mechanics can be applied to healing practices as well as taken an interest to making advancements in medicine for various diseases. Lastly, just as much as she loves spreading the tarot, tending the wounded, conjuring up whimsical things and making brews... Elear LOVES Gil and fancy things. Shiny coins, glittering gems, elegant silks and jewelry. It's pretty easy to get her to do things if there is money involved, and she could easily fall in with a group of treasure hunters. Paramour: I use this term in a fairly loose capacity, as romantic entanglement is not a priority (and paramour sounded like a cool part of a title for the thread. >.>. However, with that being said, it does make a beautiful enhancement to stories, and Elear has day-dreamy notions of finding her 'Champion' in whatever form he may take. This pretty much taps back onto the Partner aspect, because what healer doesn't want their own monster-bait...er.. I mean, someone to stand in stalwart defense, and a sharp blade to defeat the enemy? Last points to mention is the desire for mature, drama-free companionship. Generally this comes with adults, but I've even met grownups that throw temper tantrums worse than small children, so... yeah. Other than that? I don't care. Due to financial situations, I was gone for awhile. I have returned, however, to give the game another go for the next two months. Help me make the best of it~?

I. Basic Info Characters:Elear Morierea Primary character:Elear Morierea Linkshells:The Wanderers Primary RP linkshell:The Wanderers II. RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): Medium to heavy, but flexible. I like individual play, as well as large group events. I tend to put a lot of care into anything I arrange, be it decoration in housing, or solid storylines that can cover light hearted to very somber and spooky feeling to them. I love to write, and the more inspired it makes me, the more creative I feel. I have even been known to generate illustrations to accompany influential stories. Views on RP combat and injuries: Combat, or 'frail states' and injury, can be pretty awesome if done right. If I encounter players who 'fight fair', or rather, will respond within reason to the scene that has that kind of cause and effect, I am totally down for a fight. Even better, give me a war. Conflict can make characters shine, and I like shiny stuff... Views on IC romance: I tend to play hopeless romantic sorts and I won't lie, I've got a fondness for male Elezen and Miqo'te - My view on the matter, however, is that romance even in it's most innocent of forms can really motivate a character toward almost any end, and add a great dynamic to storylines. When done well, and with a mature individual that can separate the story from reality, it makes for a good addition to a character's development, especially if the love blossoms naturally. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): Family can be an important motivation in a character's life. I have always enjoyed depictions of that eerie bond between twins that is almost like telepathy. I've used the concept of a parent passing down honored traditions dating back several generations with a few of my characters, too. Friendship shouldn't be overlooked in this, either. The 'bromance', is stronger than blood ties at times. Views on lore: I love game lore, even when I'm not versed on it. I'd love to learn more, and adapt stories to it as both characters and cannon proceeds. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): Depending on the content of the roleplay / storyline, I don't mind say. Linkshells would seem to keep things neat and tidy. I prefer to leave tells for out of character conversation. III. Other points of Interest: I've been with the Balmung community since about March 2015, and I'm very interested in learning lore, progressing my character with others, and weaving many great tales together with other members of the community. I've been part of / host to large tavern openings and festival event organization in other games. If people can take it seriously enough to put effort into making it fun, it turns out to be a serious blast. That being said, I love surreal, steampunk or macabre stories. I shine best with supernatural touched dark fantasy, however... With the setting of a Final Fantasy world to work with? I'm gleefully awaiting the ability to weave wondrous tales rivaling any 80's fantasy film (sucker for Legend, Labyrinth and others). I've been known to play the villain pretty often, though I rather remain a neutral party. While I can interact with anyone, if you're not mature, I might not be your best candidate for a roleplay partner. I mostly mean this in an emotional / mental state, because I have a strict no drama policy... However, this also means I prefer to roleplay with people around the age of 20+.
