  1. LMAO. I hate you all. And also, Seraphine looks adoooooorable~ <3 It's so awesome.
  2. Oh. My. God. I can't believe you posted this. I'm going to die. Lmfao.
  3. *Tosses a net at the Kanko.* Me and Gerik already got ya' in game but here's an official welcome, jerk-o!
  4. Psylocke is my favorite. I haven't read many comic books, probably less than a handful, but I remember being shown a few things of Psylocke and Archangel and then really liking her character art and powers. So I ended up going on a wiki to research her and read more about her. Don't think I've done that for any other comic character before.
  5. I picked Conjurer. Her natural talent in it is what gave Seohyun the courage to leave the safe walls of Ul'dah and begin adventuring. While I wanted to pick Arcanist because she's starting to dabble in it in order to get rid of her 'Damsel In Distress' skin. I feel like being a healer will always come first and foremost.
  6. Wow, that sounds really interesting. Welcome to the RPC though! If you ever need help with anything don't be shy to ask. Either it be via PMs or posts! Hope you enjoy your time here and hope to see you in game. Toodles!
  7. Agreed with this post. Also, I think a Let's Play is a great way of drawing new players into the game. I usually check out let's plays for games that I'm interested in buying what want to see what the experience is like. Considering that, I think a new character should be used so that people who are interested in buying the game know what to expect (at least story wise.) But yeah, great idea, Nel.
  8. Welcome. Your English is pretty dang amazing, so I wouldn't have guessed that it wasn't your first language. Anywho, I hope you enjoy your stay here! Don't be shy to ask questions or anything. People here are really helpful and respond extremely quickly.

    Barber?

One is supposed to be added, not sure if it's going to be Phase 4, or on release. But there will be one!

    Nobles?

Haha, not at all. Debate is healthy. (Also welcome!) I agree with some parts, but there's kind of a few examples of some nontraditional nobles in game. There's Raubahn Aldynn who's one of the most looked up to people in all of Ul'dah. He started with nothing once his home was destroyed, came to Ul'dah, became a gladiator champion, used the money to buy the arena, and this gave him a place in the Syndicate. Giving him a huge political and powerful standing in Ul'dah. In Ul'dah, gil is everything and because of that some man from no where managed to become one of the most noble figures in that city-state. He's just one example. There's also supposedly several rich people. and then the tradtional nobles you speak of in the Syndicate. From what I've read on the forums, I think the more traditional nobles would probably reside in Ishgard since from what I read they have banner men, and four big noble houses.
  12. The way abilities are used on the PS3 remind me of Dragon Age on the playstation. I've heard some complaints here and there about the PS3, but I bet the game runs really smooth on the system and playing it on a HDTV must be amazing. So I plan on maybe also picking up a PS3 copy for maybe when I just want to lay in bed and play on my TV instead of my computer.

    Nobles?

I think there's rich and successful and there's also having a lineage of riches and an organized house that can expand. But there's -so- many ways people can work into nobility. Including in Ul'dah where the entire society is so gil-focused! Haha. But as far as Gridania and Limsa goes, I still think there's many ways you can work yourself into nobility Ul'dahn or not. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with though!

    Dargonz

I actually was curious about this two days ago and did a bunch of scanning on some wiki's and google and there since to be almost no information besides the common stuff. There's the "Tale of Bridges" that tells the history of Ishgard and I'm guessing its battle with dragons along with that, but as far as the actual dragons themselves they haven't really said much. I can only imagine how dire their fight with dragons is going to be now that Bahamut is up and about hidden somewhere though. I remember dragons being talked about a bit in one of the producer letter videos back when I first joined but I haven't found it yet. :'( I'll be sure to edit my post and include it if I do.

    Nobles?

I know a few players actually roleplay being nobles. (Kylin, myself, Gerik recently and I'm sure there's more.) Ul'dah would be the easiest place to RP it, but I still think it's very possible to do it in other countries. With Gridania, perhaps your family owns some land and hires people to grow and distribute things for example, or perhaps in Limsa you came from a family of sailors that were previously pirates and hit the jackpot somehow. As long as there's a reason, I'm sure it'd work anywhere. Good luck to you <3
  16. Wow, this is all so freaking pretty.
  17. Oh man~ Here we go. Seohyun Iyasu
  18. Female Hyur, because I'm boring like that. Lol.
  19. Oh man! Congrats RPC. /cheer
  20. Hello! Welcome, I hope you enjoy your stay. If you ever have questions don't be shy to ask, we're all a happy and helpful bunch.
  21. At least you took the time you evaluate yourself and try to change. Many people wouldn't do that. A lot of people walk around with a, "I'm right and you're wrong so you deserve this." attitude. Takes a lot to try to adjust yourself because you're observant and understand the damage you're doing. So mucho kudos to you! *Thumbs up.*
  22. Took a look at that thread and just wow... Yeah, as much as I wish people luck who don't want to play on Balmung. Perhaps Behemoth isn't the place to do it if they're going to be harassed like that. Either way, I wish them the best. It's a shame those people who are trashing them so hard in that thread can be so narrow minded.
  23. I've come to realize that there's always going to be issues no matter where you go. MMO's and the internet bring together so many different people, from different cultures, tastes, environments, and etc so you're bound to have people bump heads due to their different opinions. I think the worst is when someone is purposely going out of their way to make a negative impact on someones experience on the game. Trolling has gotten so popular and people know that they really can't be punished for what they do. Also the safe feeling of being anonymous makes a lot of people braver, and they feel like they can get away with anything. I mean, have you guys looked at youtube comments that place is like the scum of the earth and I'm sure no one would ever say those things IRL. As for the whole WHM thing, I totally feel your pain. I only ever play healers in video games. People think just because you have a healing spell that you have a god mode button, "THNX IM DEAD, GOOD JOB HEALER. -_-" it's more like "How about trying not to stand directly infront of the highly worshipped crazy fire breathing demon and dance on his cracks next time?"
  24. ^ This. Also, coming from another woman. I think it's very important that when you -are- spending time with her, that it's about her and the time you're spending with her is about things you guys have in common and have mutual feelings about. We sometimes feel the need to compete for our boyfriends time and that can be toxic. If she isn't wanting try FFXIV at all despite your efforts, then be sure not to bring it up when you two are having quality time. I can't speak for her, since I don't know her and I'm only speaking from experience and other girl talk. It's possible that when you talk about the game when it's time for her that she can grow to resent the game, and try to compete with it for your attention which could make things even more stressful. Good luck with everything though, I'm sure it could get better once she understands how important your gaming time is to you.
  25. This is pretty great and helpful to those who are just starting out and want to get their hands dirty with crafting.
