So, i've tried to get into Mateus and it seems to be locked, however I do have a character back from my trial days on Balmung, any suggestions about Mateus?

Hello! I'm new to the game and to FFXIV universe, I would love an Invite please; Aldred Sternn.

So I'm new to FFXIV and the server and I'm looking to roleplay with ither a group, FC or just one person. I'm not so good at this but as per my character: He's a Midlander who grew up mostly alone. Set out from his family at a young age due to increasing problems and murder within the family. The only family he knows may still be out there is his brother. Sense age 7 he's been on his own making his life through the land drifting from place to place as a Nomad. He's seen his fair share of conflict and combat and tends to avoid such area's now. He is by no means the friendliest of people. He does odd jobs when he is in need of money; this ranges from a wide variety of subjects. Currently at age 19, he's wandering around the area's of Ul'dah and the surrounding desert lands seemingly wondering aimlessly. If you'd like to know more about him, you'll probably have to find him or just poke me on an OOC level. Yeah, I had tried that time today actually and didn't fair well, just really not sure what to do at this point. Thank you for the help though, I'll give it another shot tomorrow/tonight.

So, As of this weekend I've been trying to get on Balmung and after s taying up an entire day the servers are still locked for me. Is there a good time during the day (EST) to try and create a character on Balmung? I just kind of feel confused and hopeless as to going about this.

So, hello everyone. You'll have to forgive me as this is my first Final fantasy game for at lest a few years now and my first Final Fantasy MMO. But I thought while I was waiting for (hopefully) the Balmung server to unlock to sign up and say Hi. That's really about it so here's what I have for the template, it's pretty boring, although I hope to see and meet some of you in game! --MMORPG background My first MMORPG was Star Wars galaxies many years ago and I stuck with it untill it shut down in 2011 (on my birthday of all days.) Following that I skimmed through a few other MMO' for a week until SWTOR came out and until last moth I had been playing that. Big Mistake... I also play EVE Online (if you count that as an MMO and not a second job.) Currently involved with the ProviBloc coalition and it's struggle to survive. --RP experience I've been RPing longer than I could remember on different websites and video games. A long list of different characters, setting and worlds. I roledplayed on most MMO's and hope to do so here. If I hat to guess..... 10+ years now overall. --Character ideas/info Still working this part out. --How did you learn about the coalition? Two ways: -Heard about it from other communities around the gaming and RP world. -Google. Yeah, just sort of typed in FFXIV RP sever and..well..here I am! --What kind of a role-player are you aiming to be? Light, medium, or heavy? More than likely Mid-Heavy. Heavy preferred but it all depends on my mood/situation. --Anything from real life you're comfortable with sharing? (Work, school, hobbies, etc) I'm currently finishing up my first year of trade school. Already hate it.
