"I thought it'd be wise to familiarize myself with my surroundings." <"Well, that's not what was on my mind but it'd be better if he didn't know I just wandered in here."> he thought.

There wasn't much else to do for the day. He had done his quota of cataloging, which wasn't much as he didn't find many specimens that day, and he had accomplished enough with his other job the day before. He didn't like that the one day he decided to take off left him with not much else to do, or rather he was upset that he couldn't think of what to do. Thus, Vincent wandered about until he stumbled into a Brass Blades office where he noticed a Miqo'te manning the front desk.

Vincent is a morally grey person who doesn't let his emotions get in the way of his work as an assassin. Though he wouldn't care much about the darkness that this company follows, he very much would care about the gil he is paid to do their bidding. Vincent is new to ffxiv and I'd love to do some rp since starting the I'll FINALLY be able to attend the rp events (been overseas for three months)

updated! (8/25) fixed typos and spacing. added a few more details in the personality section to give him more depth. will continue to be a wip

Vincent would start off as a side character and merchant that the player would be able to buy from (specialty foods, ingredients,etc). As the player progresses through the msq, Vincent would be revealed as an assassin hired by the Main villain to eliminate the players character. Vincent himself would be motivated at first by gil and then by the thrill of fighting with the player character. As the player fights Vincent on multiple occasions, the player would have to make decisions that would either persuade Vincent to give up on the contract and aid the player or force the player and his/her group to eliminate Vincent for good. Of course, throughout the player's journey he/she will encounter Vincent multiple times and learn about him through various side quests. Vincent's class would most definitely be a ninja.

Hey glad you like it already I've thought about a few more things I can add to give Vincent some more depth. I've also noticed a few errors here and there that I will straighten out shortly. Nothing else to do while I'm on a 9hour I layover Also I'll try not to make the wall of text so hard to read, thanks for the suggestion ^.^ Also, love your profile layout!

Character name: Vincent Sarkoza -Personality- (Chaotic Neutral) To conceal his true occupation, Vincent acts gentlemanly and polite toward strangers and aquaintances. Very few know his true personality, even fewer know he's an assassin or even a shinobi at that.Alhough he appears friendly enough, since he often talks to people,it's mainly so he can gather information about the area he's in for for other information he happens to be looking for. Rarely is he ever out just to make a friend or two. Outwardly he projects himself as someone who cares deeply for the woes of others and as someone who would give aid to those in need.He also conceals and lies about most of his fighting prowess to those around him,coming off as a traveling cook who's only good enough with his knives to protect himself against the average bandit/beast.Of course, when his life is in danger or if those around him he deems are an asset to him are in danger, he will fight to his full capacity when the situation warrants it. For the most parthe will try to appear as a simple cook who travels the land to search for, and catalogue, herbs, spices, and meat of beasts and animals. Truthfully, Vincent is far from being polite nor gentlemanly. He's sarcastic, usually follows his whims and doesnt care too much about thosearound him. Often times he does what he does out of amusement or out of curiosity of what might happen after, which makes him quite mischievous at times and can earn him the resentment of those he plays tricks on. Speaking of tricks, he does have a tendencyto try to decieve others into either doing things for him or making things easier for him though he sometimes compesates the victim with some kind of a reward.Sometimes. Even though he does kill (mainly) for a living, he doesn't go out of his way to harm those around him and prefers not to engage in violence unless someone is intentionally getting in his way.Depending on his mood he'll either move on to something else or outright beat the individual(s) out of his way.He especially dislikes harming innocent women and children and doesn't accept any contract thatdetails the elimination of either but the death (or harm) of both have been indirectly related to his actions on the job in the past.It is important to note that he has knowingly taken a contract that called for the death of a woman who lived in the outskirtsof Limsa Lominsa and it was the first contract he had ever taken. (I wrote a back story to Vincent's surname and I wanted to know if this wasn't too conflicting with the current lore also, its not finished yet heheh) >History of House Sarkoza During The Sixth Astral Era, the Sarkoza family were part of the three migratory waves of Hyur that settled in Eorzea. Little is known about their history except for pieces of information that they may be from either Doma, or somewhere else in the East. The name Sarkoza was used after the clan settled in Eorzea in order to fit in and is the primary reason why most of the family's history before that time has either been lost or cannot be traced back to them. Other reasons, many suspect: war, intrigue, and politics, as well as many others. Aside from the change in name , it was also, both intrigue and politics that disconnected the Sarkoza family from its true ancestral roots. As the family began to gain some semblance of wealth and renown in Thanalan, it grew in size and separated into three main houses. Though all three houses were under the same name, it operated much as if it were three utterly different families. Each house utilized the first name of their respective heads of house to distinguish themselves from the other houses. Each three worked together to ensure "the greater good of the Sarkoza family" but even then there grew to be rivalries between the three. After only three hundred years the three families warred with one another. All over a sword, and to be the house that was the one true Sarkoza. A large wooden and metal chest had been unearthed one day by an expeditionary team that was sent back to the east by one of the three families back to the areawhere the familiy's origin was located. When the chest was brought back, the leaders of all three houses, Bozan , Cyril, and Oskan, gathered together to open the chest. Inside they discovered a wooden tome and a magnificent sabre made of an unknown metal that shone a gentle bright white and blue as aether swirled around the blade like a mist. The guard, grip, and pommel were decorated with with soft wine red leather, beautiful silver, and brilliant gold in a streamline fashion. The pommel itself was a mixture of gold and silver, and made to perfectly balance the entire weapon. An argument immediately insued between Bozan and Cyril as to which house would hold the blade. All the while, Oskan sat and admired the blade with a sense of wonder. He suggested that the houses could share the sword and each could house the sword for a period of time and then pass it to the next house in line. Bozan and Cyril had none of it, claiming that to own a sword is to hold on to it until death, citing that a warrior's sword is part of his soul and a soul cannot be passed around like a toy. Attempts were made to decipher the tome that came with the sword but to everyone there, it was a completely foreign language. A forgotten language. Since the sword and tome were already in Cyrils house, the three agreed to leave it there until the tome could be deciphered. For a long while, nobody could decipher the tome and much money was spent on finding those who could and none were harder in the search than Bozan and Cyril. As for Oskan, he too tried to find ways to decipher the tome, preferring to look through the dusty books and scrolls of any library he could find. He saw no need to hire a translator since the other two were already looking for one. If Oskan had known what deciphering the tome would mean, he would have preferred if the sword had never been found. When Bozan and Cyril found a linguist and historian by the name of Balien by pure chance, they quickly discovered through conversation that the man had spent a considerable amount of time in the East and even Doma itself. Upon hearing of an ancient sword and tome, Balien was absolutely overjoyed and insisted that he be taken to it as soon as possible and offered to decipher the tome free of charge so long as he could make a copy of the inscription on the tome and make a detailed drawing of the sword. Bozan and Cyril agreed and brought him to the main room of Cyril's rather spacious home. More of a small mansion really. Both he and Bozan owned rather large estates with the exception of Oskan. There Balien stayed, translating one character after the other for three days and nights by comparing and referencing his many, many notes and referencing the knowledge he gained during his time in the east. Some might be surprised at how loudly Balien exclaimed eureka despite his lack of sleep. He wasted no time in conveying what he had just translated to Bozan and Cyril, who decided it didn't matter whether or not Oskan was present and used "let's not bother him while he's got his face in the books" as an excuse not to invite him. Balien excitedly held up a sheet of paper with a large smile across his face and read: Here lies the proof of the strength of our people. The sword that belonged to the man who was the first of our greatest leaders. With great ferocity and courage he slew the great eight headed dragon of the wind and sea and secured a future for our people and led us with grace and humility. Like he, his decendents were red of hair with eyes like summer grass and carried a scar on their right eye. This sword shall forever represent the best of the principles of our clan: righteousness, honor, humility, justice, and strength. Balien looked up from the sheet of paper he had held so closely to his face for the past few minutes and found that both Bozan and Cyril had blank expressions. He apologized that who ever inscriped the tome didn't put down the clan name, but the two men before him knew very well that the sword did belong to the Sarkoza family. Just not to them, but to Oskan. Only Oskan fit the description of the hero in the tome. They always wondered why he had a scar on his right eye and why when neither his father nor mother had teal eyes and red hair and Oskan had. If it wasn't for the fact that Oskan looked enough like both his parents he would've been cast off as a bastard. As Cyril and Bozan tried to figure out how to deal with what they just learned, Balien presented them with another piece of information. During his time in the east he did see a large stone wall with carvings that depicted a battle between a man and what seemed to be a dragon with eight heads. Behind the wall, the ruins of a large town that had been reclaimed by the forest. Balein told Bozan and Cyril of the great treasure, and relics that belonged to last royal family of their ancestors that supposedly lay beneath the town. The only proof that Bozan had was a small but brilliant crystal. It was enough to convince the now excited men but no sooner were they elated about the news of treasure and wealth did they suddenly realized that Oskan was the rightful heir of that wealth as well as the rightful head of all of house Sarkoza.
