Character Wiki Overhaul part 1. ((been studying for hours upon hours and decided to take a break doing this)). Wanted to get opinions, mainly on gear changes and aspects of combat. I am the last person who wants to be op and i also want to make sure his equipment/fighting style is lore friendly. Of course anything else you notice please let me know Changes made in profile so far... >Character Relations: Etherie, Lirilith, M'lissa, Ryan Cooper, Forgotten Treant, Corvus (?) >Additional/interesting info: Origins of his bandanna, Forbidden Ninjutsu (a transformation. Just playing with this idea, would like opinions), quick history of Vincent's Ninja heritage >Gear/Equipment >Fighting Style >Weaknesses character page link: https://wiki.ffxiv-roleplayers.com/pages/Vincent_Sarkoza

yeah there really isn't much lore on ninjutsus to go on unfortunately . But yeah I've been keeping my ninjutsus elemental and nothing too crazy. I didn't want to go with the standard media archetype of ninjas these days and wanted to be sure that my character equally relied on usage of tools, physical attacks, and ninjutsus since i'm pretty sure that's how ninjas would best fight the other classes in FFXIV.

From experience, it's always best to use lore within the game to support what you're doing. Not to say your ninjutsu's have to be used in the manner described mechanicly, just saying having some form to lore to back you up helps divert the lore hounds. Creativity is one of those things it depends how you're being creative in how people will react to it OOC. For instance, if you start summoning giant frogs and riding on their backs via ninjutsu, some people will be a little offended... If you turned your Huton into an attack wind based spell, it'd be different. As for making a creative ninjutsu... I feel it wouldn't be disallowed. Like what kind examples do you mean for more 'creative ninjutsus'. Also Ninjas have a lot going on for it long as everybody plays their parts right. Stealth, smoke bombs, quick escape buttons, and more. Crestivity with ninjutsu that doesnt stray too far from the lore is what i meant yeah i know anything over the top like what naruto has is too much. So far ive only been manipulating what the current mechanic has like suiton into a water attack, katon fireballs etc. The furthest one ive done is just a stone slab jutsu for defence. Im curious about other peoples experiences with rping as a ninja. The way i rp my ninja is fighting using skills that complement one another, not just straight op ninjutsus so i dont cross that godmod line.

How do you see ninjutsus in the world of final fantasy and, ofcourse, for rp? Do you think rp wise its mostly restricted to what is given in game or would it still make sense lorewise if ninja rpers have some more room for creativity for their ninjutsus during rp?

Vincent's a ninja who has been practicing the art of assassination for years and is looking for work. He fronts as a cook who works at the Bismarck from time to time. One way to contact him (if he isnt there) is to simply leave a note asking for Vincent the cook detailing when you'll visit the bismarck again. Once Vincent meets you face to face the password is "I'd like to make a dinner reservation for (# of people you want dead)." Vincent will usually reply with "I'm sorry we don't have any reservations available at this time, please come to this place (places down a paper with directions) at this time to meet with our customer service representative." Those who contact Vincent will have heard through word of mouth that Vincent is the one who handles intercepting requests and contracting for "Mister Red" he of course being Vincent.

Sketches I made of Vincent's expressions~ there were many versions of his face structure but i felt this one suited him the most so i just reused it as i drew different expressions hahaha.

Moonlight Blade Online is a Chinese mmorpg situated in a fantasy version of ancient china. Some facts are: >Landmass is 18x larger than Skyrim and is beautifully crafted. There is a video and from what I can gather it is seamless. >There are 17 different types of landscapes and over two thousand types of plants. >It utilizes a new combat system that is "revolutionary" and from the video it does seem new. Instead of most mmos where they have you dodging and dashing around, this combat system allows you to dodge, block, parry, and counterattack your opponents. Its quite an in depth combat system and I hope it is delivered as promised. >I think certain classes are gender locked more information can be found here. http://2p.com/15682654_1/tencent-games-moonlight-blade-is-preparing-for-western-debut-by-joelw.htm

Lore Lowdown - Aetherytes! (NA Duty Commenced 09)
Halstein Mercer replied to Kage's topic in Lore Discussion
I see teleportation as something that can only be done by the more aetheyrically inclined and only done in close poximity of an aetheryte (that or the person is experienced in the manipulation of aether). Perhaps raubahn couldn't use return due to his restraints? As for the return spell, I think when people die they die unless healed or resurrected by a capable conjurer(if that's possible?) Within an acceptable time range. Using return definitely requires concentration and if we're unconscious we shouldn't be able to cast anything. I think we only return to our home points for purely game play reasons, as a sort of death penalty I suppose. -
Vincent looks down at the wanted flyer he picked up off the road and looked back up at the update from the Immortal Flames. "Hmph, knew something had to be going on. Ten million gil sounds too good to be true. Though I guess there might be money to be had for information on this..." his eyes fix on two words "Elezen woman." He neatly folds the wanted poster on his hand into a nice little square and slips it into his pocket. Propaganda or not, it could come in handy with his investigation. As he walked away from the Flames poster on the wall he began thinking of where to begin his search. "That Miqot'e in the poster, I could start looking for her. She's the only lead as of now besides going to Coerthas and snooping around Ishgard" Vincent stops on the side of a busy Uldah street and looks up at the sky with a slight smirk. "Guess I could head there. The soft falling snow might be a nice change of scenery."

balmung Street Thief / Burglar in need of marks or contacts!
Halstein Mercer replied to Coda's topic in Chronicled Connections
Would be nice for Vincent to be acquainted with people doing shadier jobs since he himself does shady jobs while using his job as a cook as cover. Perhaps Vincent and Wander could meet up sometime! -
balmung Thief looking for some connections.
Halstein Mercer replied to TK Hikaru's topic in Chronicled Connections
Having grown up in in the slums of Uldah and currently working as an assassin, Vincent is very well acquainted with the underground. Perhaps this could lead to some interesting rp? Anyway hope to see you in game and as always, have fun -
Added a new player rumor section for vincent's aliases.

Trying to find a criminal syndicate type FC to better rp Vincent's profession as an assassin whose cover is a traveling cook. He's a rather selfish person who only pretends to be the nicest and most well spoken (he tries his best) guy in the world just to make his cover more believable. Only a few people know of his true personality and profession and it's something he takes pride in. The link below is to his character profile. https://wiki.ffxiv-roleplayers.com/pages/Vincent_Sarkoza Basic Information: Age: 23 Sexuality: Heterosexual Martial Status: Single Alignment: Chaotic Neutral Height: 6'1'' (185cm) Weight: 175 ponze Body: Athletic Voice: Leon S. Kennedy (Paul Mercier. RE4, RE6)
