To be fair, I can somewhat understand the frustration on the other side... the side of the person bitching about people not pulling there weight. HW is full of DPS checks, both soft and hard. The most recent one for me? The Aery, last boss. Running my DRK through (my 4th 60) and the DPS can't be assed or ... for lack of a better term... good enough to kill the prices (the jail things). It's not a hard fight, and not a hard concept. If you're unable to pull out the dps needed to down that price before whoever is stuck in it is killed... then you really need to reassess what it is you're doing with your job. However, I do agree. A more friendly approach to such things is generally far more effective than the "toxic" one.

Been an advocate of this for a long time. I can't exactly read a character's mind, you know? Technically your character isn't a mind reader either. The RP Walkups Welcome is just saying that ... well.. walkups are welcome. As in real life, you don't simply know who a stranger is the moment you walk up to them. You have to observe them to figure out what is going on. The same holds true in RP. Watch what a character is doing, and approach after you have your hook. Find out the rest (read:the stuff you would have to be a mind reader to learn) through actual RP.

Rather than flat out atheism, I've seen characters roleplayed (and have done so myself) where they just don't necessarily attribute what others may consider miracles to the various deities. In other words, a "they've never done anything for me, so why should I pray to/worship/care about them?" sort of attitude. As has been stated, flat out disbelief in them (the deities) is a bit... silly.
