Seeing as the Disciples of Magic are available to all, one could say that instead of being born with magical abilities, the people of Hydaelyn are born with varying degrees of affinity with Aetheryte and the different elements. This could play out in how and why they choose their specific magic Discipline and also explain how one can cast magic by simply equipping a wand or stave to use as a focus. Those who only level their Disciplines of Magic for some abilities to fit ICly could be people born with a low-grade aetheryte affinity and therefore able to cast some magic, but not master it.

Oh I sucked at DotA as well, but after playing LoL for nearly a year I'd say that my level of skill has at least risen a teensy-weensy bit.

Okay.. Even though Open Beta is soon upon us, I'm among those who haven't got a rig capable of running FFXIV to a satisfactory degree. So I thought it appropriate to ask you fine folks whether anyone of you play League of Legends. I myself have both an EU and an US account (damn Germany's lousy censorship of games). Malrenn (EU) and Malrend (US). Now for those of you who don't know what this is about *ahem*. http://eu.leagueoflegends.com/ League of Legends (or LoL for short) is basically a DotA clone, two teams of five trying to destroy the opposing team's base. Now this game has a lot of new features including "Summoner spells", Runes and Masteries (Basically a skill tree). Those new features add an extra layer of strategy to the gameplay, which also helps eliminate certain fatal match-ups.. Of which I only know one to still exist in the game. Discuss, inquire and troll away.

It's a quite entertaining system.. Except for the Fulms, Malms and Yalms.

Bloody windy ya say? Well at you're not the only ones feeling the wind.. Here in my little hole there's currently a torrent. Not that I'm complaining.. I like wind and rain, because the wind is every true gentleman's friend.

Well I wouldn't mind getting my hands on a key, but seeing as open beta is close at hand and that there are souls out there wanting to get their hands on a key more than me.. I'll take it if no one else wants it.

Oh my.. This will be the first place I'll look for personality quirks in the future. Malrend: The Trickster - He won't be all godlike, but he likes to promote chaos and reacts mostly on impulse. The Seeker - This is all he really does. Badass Bookworm - He reads.. A lot, most of his experience with alchemy and survival comes from reading. The Philosopher - Kinda self-explanatory. Reluctant Warrior - He won't cause harm to anyone else, unless it is needed for his own survival. Chef of Iron - He would be what they've classified as "Ordinary". Dark and Troubled Past - Wouldn't you like to know? Cloudcuckoolander - He has his head in the clouds more often than not. The Wonka - His actions are, to him, as normal as can be.

Well it won't make it to Germany that's for sure, not without having half of it's content ripped out, but I'm fairly sure that we'll see it uncensored, if only in England, France and Spain.. I can always pick it up in England if it doesn't hit the stands in Scandinavia. Honestly Germany is the only European country that demonizes video games, the others are pretty uncaring.

On a slightly related note.. Persona 1 for PSP is finally available via PSN in Europe.

Excellent choice, Malrend. Demons and Wizards rock! I'm hearing a lot of great music from you guys! Oh geez.. You're making me blush, or some such.. Anyhoo. These themes have given me a certain image of all of you guys' characters.. Now to read the profiles to see how off I am.
