Howdy all o/ Just bringing myself back into the game after a good few months break. Excited to play the samurai and red mage class but thats all ooc. I have a roughed out character that i would be looking to get into rp, mostly heavy based, or a heavy based rp fc While im at it, is the server still rp heavy? or has it died down a little from the server lock? thanks Orwen

Views on IC romance: Enjoy it, it can make or break a character in a lot of ways. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): Can and would play as a brother to anyone. Views on lore: Lore friendly really, but not keen on stagnating, much prefer to continue to adapt, and create lore, rather than stagnate and never develop. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): /Say is a must for rp, more private stuff goes into a group or tell's. Can and will use any and all formats to rp. [*] III. I enjoy being caught up in stories, both my own and other players. Its fun, its what i do, normally not breaking character at any point. Views on RP combat and injuries: I enjoy it, with the games added /random command, it allows a fair, and unbiased experience, rather than having to trudge through scenes where one player is untouchable. Injuries are something that happens, you rp it out till its fixed or healed, or else what was the point in taking said injury to begin with?. Views on IC romance: It can happen, but rather than having the regular wham bam of "hi, your pretty, can i take you home to make kitties" i prefer depth to such things. Not that im opposed to one night stands ic, it is something that normally depends on the character im playing. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): Never really got into this side of rp, dont know why *licks blade clean of blood* im sure he had a family at some point. Seriously though, i havent tread that far into this scene, but i am open to it. Views on lore: Lore is lore, you dont mess with it, you can bend it, you can warp it, just dont break it......much. On that note, still learning the lore as i go, so its an interesting thing. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): Well, my view on this is....use the right chat for the right situation. /say for rp, /yell for shouting at someone, the rest is for ooc purposes i suppose. *shrug* [*] III. So at this moment, my character, Sataka Tanshi, is wandering around Ul'dah at this moment, searching for answers on how he came to be in the middle of the desert. Im looking to make friends and contacts ic i can rp with and enjoy the game as much as possible. Either it be just connections, or i would consider FC/linkshell if the rp is honest and good. --MMORPG background Well, i started my journey in Star Wars galaxies post NGE. From there, after spending a few years roleplaying as a mandalorian merc, i shifted over to SWTOR on release. Been RPing there since launch on the Ebon Hawk server. Star Trek online held my attention for awhile, as did the Secret world. --RP experience Been RPing now for nearly ten years in various games and tabletop scenarios. Now its time to add FF14 to the list. --Character ideas/info Well, i don't have a fully fleshed out character as of yet, but i do have the basic's down. Name, age, and personality. As for his past, i was thinking something along the lines of amnesia, but havent gotten far in it yet. --How did you learn about the coalition? Google, just went up in there and searched for FFXIV roleplay servers, and this site was second on the list for me. --What kind of a role-player are you aiming to be? Light, medium, or heavy? Heavy, always heavy. I enjoy immersing myself in the lore of a game, as well as building great stories with other like minded individuals. --Anything from real life you're comfortable with sharing? (Work, school, hobbies, etc) Hmm, lets see. I'm from Scotland, but mostly play in the us time zone due to being unable to sleep more than a few hours a day. Father of two, mostly responsible but prone to some sort of practical joke every now and then.

Been trying and waiting for a few days now since i subbed. Seems this server is harder than most to get onto. >.< Still, got a character on Gilgamesh for the moment.
