K'tahrl

Here is the images I took while I was busy toiling about in the quite hectic Gala. A majority of the images were mainly just my sheer awe at the numbers that we were seeing. To the point that eventually people standing next to me were disappearing to try and handle everything. All the same I had a blast despite the hiccups and what have you. I was just happy to see such a large turnout after its all said and done. So many people wanted to be a part of it that I know this community is where I want to stay.

Pardon the intrusion but I think the falling of Dalamud(and subsequent release of Bahamut) was not in the Empire's actual wishes but Nael Van Darnus' plot. There is if I recall a cutscene between Nael and another Legatos arguing about having anything to conquer after Dalamud would decimate everything and that that was not the Emperor's command.

There's a few locations in Thanalan that are off the beaten path so to speak. I think there's atleast 2 tavern's during your questline's. Coffin and Coffer and another one at a different Camp. Though depending on how many people would be participating Coffin and Coffer would get pretty stuffy pretty quick for the size of the location.

I think the problem with the ampitheatre now is the fact that there is a "newbie" quest there so a lot of random players would be in and out of the area and could end up being a tad distracting for some people?

Though I wasn't a part of 1.0, this sounds like quite an enjoyable scenario to partake in. You could get all sorts of stories through the players, depending on how in depth they have gotten involved in their character. I can totally see some tall tales happening, giving the quieter folk colorful ideas of grandeur. I would totally support this if I ever stumbled upon it, and would even try to help spur along the festivity.

A lot of my influences for K'tahrl's personality stem from the first anime I watched growing up so it'd be these two as the most in likeness/inspiration for his design. Wait is Raubahn the leader of the Immortal Flames? I'm guessing with Ul'dah the Sultanate and the GC aren't governed the same with Limsa and Gridania? Or am I mixing city-state leaders/Grand Company Leaders into the same bracket when they're different?

I know it'll be many a moon but I suppose it can't hurt to through K'tahrl into the lot with everyone :3 References: For an expression, a smile to hide behind, lightly pulling up the collar with a distance in his eyes :3

@Perk what about the Undead Queen Sylvanas? She is still a strong staple in her faction as their leader, I don't recall her having any male in her backstory that she would relinquish her control to. For the general case of the topic though, there has been a growing trend of female protagonists and I for one am happy to see this forward progression. The problem that I've heard a lot, is in the marketing departments trying to tell publishers/developers they can't have females as the lead or on the cover because they won't sell as well. There was if I recall a pretty big conflict going on about having Ellie centered on The Last of US, as well as with Remember Me. I think I'll put my parking brake on now because I was about to trail off with the attention span I have. I like that each leader of the city-states is a female, and for the most part are self-reliant in their actions and concerns. (Taking out that Nanamo has Raubahn lift her up for her speeches.)

Ah alright that would make more sense then, the 5 years between Bahamut and ARR would make sense then being Umbral, and the return of the Warriors of Light would usher in the Astral Era.

Are we in Year 1, or Year 5 then? Since this is 5 years after the calamity would it not make sense that it would be the 5th year of the 7th Astral Era?

From how I feel about the game so far in the way I spent my currency in game, I'd imagine the "wealth" would be summarized as thus. Rich - 1mil+ Middle Class - 500k> Lower Class - 10k> Poverty - <10k That's just my view on what denotes wealth in the game, since I at one point had 30k on my character from questing alone, and someone had mentioned they ran out of gil because of all the teleport costs so I handed them 10k to help them along. (That and I wasn't questing anymore so I didn't need the gil myself)

Somethin' I've been working on for K'tahrl and his backstory. Its meant to be a burn scar but after getting to this point I couldn't really get it to turn out as well as I'd hoped.
