  1. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF! Gah, I'm out getting one final camping trip that weekend! ! No biggie, there will be other events. Will be keeping an eye on the thread to see how it goes :3
  2. Get racing to 20 so that I can focus on gear and crafting >>;;
  3. Lren

    ... mhm

    Welcome! Don't be so nervous, friend of friends! It's not like we will bite much.
  4. Huh, that's actually really good to know I've been focusing on artes with Jude and Alvin, so that's a good thing then. Thanks!
  5. The auto level is certainly nice. How big those grids can get... I'm happy to use that on characters that won't be in the party(Due to how I want my party comp to be.). Certainly speeds things along >>;;
  6. Oh, for sure but I'll be damned if it doesn't look flashy(and awesome) as hell! Which for some reason reminds me... What do you think of the leveling system? I'm getting some FFX vibes from it every now and then but I kinda like it. Diverse character builds and the skills it gives you are nice.
  7. My brother has been using Alvin and I've been with Jude. SECOND FIST FIGHTER PROTAG, GOTTA REP THAT! Leia's heals have been great and she has some really good combo's too! It's fun getting together, having her launch them up, then doing a few air combos
  8. I went in expecting Vesperia so... By the time you get the third party member, we jacked it up. Yeah, that was the one we had a fun time managing. Since you can't link when doing two player and we were also the only ones alive... It was tricky to find times to strike then to split up so that we could heal. Can't wait for maniac difficulty!
  9. Oh, I know...There's apparently somewhere around 65 attachments. Best of luck trying to find them all. I know I'm having trouble doing so. :frustrated: YUP! xDD I'm going through the game with my twin, so both him and I are keeping our eyes out. I've noticed that it's a bit easier than Vesparia was so... Kinda turned up the difficulty to match that . The boss fights have been awesome so far.
  10. I'm about fifteen or so hours in, at the moment. To keep things simple, I just got all party members together. The side quests... THE SILLY ACCESSORIES. I MUST GET THEM ALL *rolls around*
  11. Haha, yeah. Did that for a second before I went searching around. Be nice if things were a bit clearer on the get go but eh, we will survive I suppose
  12. Ha. So, now that the game's out, what do you think? I really enjoy Xillia's characters and story so far, much more so than Graces f at a similarly early part of the game. I think I prefer the overall flow of the latter's combat, though. As I am now 20 hours in (I just can't stop.... ><) I can confidently say I like Xillia wholly better than Graces f. Even the battle system. I've played all the other Tales games (including the ones not released here) so Graces combat just didn't feel right to me. Of course, that's a personal opinion, although I did really enjoy its combat. Xillia feels more in line with what I've come to expect from Tales, so I'm really happy. And this storyline is blowing me away. It's so much darker than the other Tales games. Glad I'm not alone in any of this The game is SOOOOOO much better than Graces was, in almost every way. The characters aren't like nails on chalkboard, the story is great and the battle system leads to some interesting set ups. Not to mention being able to free run at no cost again is wonderful. Played the others tales games too, even imported a few to play with the help of guides . RPG with fighting game like mechanics for a battle system!? YES PLEASE.
  13. Got the same format myself, so no need to worry. Just gotta wait until the 20th!
  14. Welcome! That's actually an awesome lalafel name, shows creativity. Hope you enjoy your stay!
  15. Howdy! Good to hear that! My guess it will be one of the mischievous kids, eh? More than likely, yup! Getting ready to send a few PM's so that it doesn't clutter the thread up so much!
  16. Good to know. Bit of a tricky dealing, I can imagine. x-x; Anyways, if more cooks are needed, can always have Lren finds his way there!
  17. I used to be a heavy Role Player/PvPer on WoW, and did a fair bit of arenas. So you are not alone. A few friends of mine will dabble in PvP of some kind as well. Although I don't imagine the competition will be what it was on WoW. In fact. I -pray- that the competition doesn't turn into what it was on WoW. -shivers- I second that shiver! ;; Seen things go from friendly to down right obscene when competition gets involved in WoW. Don't think it will be as bad but still.
  18. Ohhh, I just may have to get in touch with you! Kinda fits my alt, so that would be an interesting interaction, for sure!
  19. Well, looks I have some time to complete my back log before the Open Beta at least
  20. An example conversation that would take place during training. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- 'Don't you think it's time we go and seek him out? We still owe that man for humiliating us back then... We should teach him the reason why we are to be feared!' 'And just what would that accomplish? Other than to make our presence known, I don't see any advantage to us being offered in the long run. We still have trouble dealing with certain travelers. If we cannot defeat those that challenge us, what chance will have against our brother?' 'The strangers are of no concern to us, though there are a few we must look into more. After all, bruises painted across their body would be a work of art. Let me ask you this, though... Are you afraid of defeat at his hands again? Let that be our strength, so that our body may move unpredictably!' 'There is something to be learned in defeat, that being said... I'd rather strike with a calm hand, than one simply running off adrenaline. While being unpredictable has it's advantages, it leaves us open as well. Going in while being calm will allow us to not slip up as we did before, so that we may make our move when he is vulnerable.' 'Tch, valid point. However, sitting by our lonesome as we defend attacks will not get us victory. Unless we'd like to end up bloodied and battered like before, consider how we will get in on him. Let each hit count and be filled with our strength, let his bones feel our fury and rage!' ------------------------------------------------------------------------
  21. Upon arriving at the Falls, the Elezen simply turned his calm gaze towards the running water. It was funny how water always seemed to calm him down, even in moments of crisis. The spot was just far enough out of the way where he'd seldom get visitors and those that did stumble onto the site where challenged to a friendly spar, should they seem able. "Every mistake is a lesson." He repeated his masters words, tapping at his forehead as he placed the pack onto the ground. 'Mistake? Error in judgement sounds like a much better way to put it.' "It's hard to make a calm and sound judgement when your opponent is seeking to make you lovers with the ground below, you know." Lren would murmur quietly to himself, a soft chuckle escaping him as his eyes would drift to the spear that lay impaled into a log stump. 'Taking things lightly won't lead us to improvement.' "A moment here and there isn't cause for alarm. Just... Lightning the mood, so to speak. If we stay too tense, an injury is much more likely, yes?" A soft sigh escaped through his nose as he'd casually stroll to the spear, wrapping his fingers around it before he'd remove it from the old piece of wood. "We spend some time with practicing what we were told and then brush up on other skills. Think that's fair." The Elezen would say, turning around as if to face someone behind him but of course, there would be the sight of the Falls before him. "Dunno why I think that will ever change. We are the same after all." He'd trail off before beginning his new training regime!
  22. No time to start quite like the present! Welcome!
  23. Oh wow, thanks for posting this! Definitely gonna check it out and keep tabs on it. These kinds of things are great to see and exciting to follow
  24. A friendly or not so friendly rivalry? Hmm, choices! Though either would be fun! Depends on how their personalities would clash, or which of the two personalities Lren houses were more prominent at the time ;; ((Thanks! Gonna work more on it when I have more time to sit and think! :3))
