I know it's probably gonna be unlikely, but I'm gonna be looking into some ideas for what I'll be making in this game. It's gonna be arriving sometime this week, and I'm super excited (I ordered the english subs version if anyone asks, I just hope I didn't eff up because it's saying the delivery is scheduled for tomorrow at 12pm but I'm at work until 1pm. idk how fedex operates, since I've always been using US postal service. I purchased express shipping, so idk if it's gonna be like requiring a signature, and what happens if I can't sign for it since I'm obviously not home?)

I have timed myself typing and I'm typically the slowest one when it comes to my computer technology class. Typing out a full response for all characters for me takes a little less than a minute and a half, saying you can't at the very least put out a half assed response in under five minutes is absolutely bogus.

The runestone/grindstone I can understand, but during dead times in the Quicksand? I mean yeah I definitely understand with the flying text, but I always make sure that I can manage to talk to someone that strayed a little bit away from the main group to prevent that. I can't name names, but I'm sure others relate to this kind of frustration.

Hey so I have some concerns going on, idk what is going on, but I've been getting flat out ignored for several weeks now when I read someone's search info and it says "Walkups welcome" and even though it says they're not afk and they look at me, they never respond and I just make an edit to my post and resend it in the event the game nommed it. Well it's been happening a lot lately, and it's starting to make me discouraged that maybe RP isn't really welcoming for me anymore. I would sometimes go up to people and make a simple post to kinda do a greeting, you know something friendly. I wouldn't have anything like ERP in my search info, or be wearing anything that looked like i was looking for it, and yet after 5 minutes of waiting AFTER THE PEOPLE HAVE LOOKED AT ME AND THEN UNTARGETED, I walk off and I get a /tell (About 60% of the time) going "Oh I saw your post, I'm sorry if I looked like I was ignoring you, I wasn't" which is complete crap, they were and the fact they would make a post for that and not go "Oh I'm not really wanting to RP, sorry" makes me want to throw up. It's gotten to the point I kept count yesterday at the grindstone, I got ignored by 13 different people, even making sure I asked if my messages went through or if they got eaten. Never got a message, not even got an acknowledgement until AFTER I had left. I'm going to give RP one more try, if it continues, I might just give up and move onto something else, because I take the time to always make sure I at least reply to someone and RP with them briefly or tell them I'm not really up for it. Has anyone else been having this problem?

UPDATE: So it turns out Skeeter had a bad virus, had to take some time to get it cleared out of his system, but he looks fine. Sometimes he'll twitch, but it's nowhere near as bad as what it used to be.

If so I have a question regarding the golem boss. I just beat Plantera, and I have been fully decked out in hallowed gear. My weapons of choice are between True Excalibur and Clockwork Assault Rifle with explosive ammo. I can beat the golem's hands and I get close to killing his head, but when he speeds up his eye laser I end up being overwhelmed since the lizards also get nosey and want to rip out my lungs. Do you know any strategies?

So I have a duck named skeeter, he's about a year old, and he's been acting twitchy lately. I don't know what the deal is, but every time I try to get him to do something this is what I'm met with. SwxdBiazu8M Is this normal? He's a mallard duck just FYI.

So I've begun working on my Double X, I'm happy it's going so smoothly. A couple of things because I'd also like to do a review on the model kit itself before I get down to the nitty gritty. I already assembled the parts for the Double X, I just haven't put it all together yet. From what I've seen and felt, the limbs offer a good amount of articulation despite appearing so bulky, and I might focus on either making the suit look bigger or slimming it down (More than likely the latter since it'll have a melee weapon in the form of a sword.) Overall I LOVE the backpack of the Double X, it adds a bulk to the suit that makes me feel intimidated to some extent. The boosters are mounted by a slit-style peg, which you have to be careful not to knock them out of their slots. The backpack also came with two round slots for mounting equipment, these are ideal for my ideas of mounting things like optional weapons, or even making adapters so that my rifles can be mounted on the back for when they're not in use. T was originally going to be using the X's head because of those nasty looking whiskers the Double X sports, however after getting some ideas, I took some cutters and gently snipped as close to the face mask as I could, then took about 10 minutes to smooth out each space where the whiskers used to be, and now they look like added plates to protect the face. I like this a lot better than the original. I'll post some pictures of both styles to compare. If you have any suggestions or comments, please I'd love to hear them!

Alright I'm going to have to put my foot down on this nonsense. This is my thread, and I'm going to report it so that this crap ends right here and now. You seem to forget that not only were there Wings of the Goddess Cavernous Maws, but there were ACTIVE MAWS in the form of the Abyssea add-on scenarios. These maws were very much alive, and as you can plainly see in Crystal Tower, there are Atomos' there. I'm not trying to defend my statement, even I saw the writing on the wall a long time ago that it'd be a bad idea, but don't knock something out of the way before exploring every possible avenue. I've already learned a great deal of the lore in FFXIV, from the reign of Emperor Xande, to making speculations on these warriors of darkness, to even the fact of the spell Flow, I take my time and read as much as I can. When someone says I am uncreative, I take that as a slap to the face, and I do not appreciate that at all. The reason I asked about my character coming over from FFXI in the first place, was not out of laziness of wanting to learn the lore, or to be a special snowflake, but because I loved my character from FFXI, she was a member of the immortals, and had a huge story culminating over 5 years of RP on FFXI. I would take that mantle up in a heartbeat if there was a way to, even if she lost all of her abilities as a blue mage (Which would have to be the case since BLU won't be coming to FFXIV as far as I am aware.) I'm going to be reporting this thread so that the moderators can dispose of it as they wish, and if anyone here has any problems with my thoughts I have put down, take it to PM and keep it out of here. This thread was answered on page 1, there is no point to continue it now. EDIT: Also I continued reading through your post Momo, and think for a moment. If I am being selfish for wanting to play a character that I want to play, are you any different because you're playing a character you want to play yet you say I can't? Think about it, because life is a two way street buddy, you can ignore it and move on. It's not that hard to think of minor characters doing awesome things (Looking at you Stark Jegan Pilot from Gundam Unicorn, you sir were a badass and nearly beat Marida Cruz in that one episode.) and it's even more common that an innocent bystsander would get caught up in some form of accident. In fact, it happens every day in reality, by that I mean having random accidents. Unless you can prove to me without a shadow of a doubt that it would be IMPOSSIBLE 100% to dimension hop via getting sucked into a Cavernous Maw (Which I am not supporting myself because in RP it'd be a bad idea and no one would really want anything to do with me or think I was ICly crazy.)

Gundam marker is the absolute worst imo, I've used it and it messed up my wing gundam. I like to use spray paint in the form of Tamiya sprays (The acrylic paints ofc) and I've painted a few pieces and found to love the sheen it gives off and how lovely the coats are.

Yeah I've been looking at that and stuff all over the internet, took a look at some of the models in the actual finals, neat looking stuff. My double X actually came in today, so we'll officially begin building!

So I was able to get my Gundam X fully assembled and I took a good look at it. Overall the model is very loose in terms of articulation, sometimes I find it annoying when I try to pose it and it just goes all over the place. This isn't to say it's a bad thing, I've gotten quite a few epic yet accidental poses during my playing around. I hope the Double X is a scooch tighter in this area. Also, I love the equipment on the X, although the panels on the satellite cannon get in my way a lot. I might remove the panels on the Double X and just keep the cannons, but I'm not 100% sure. Next update will have a picture of each and every plastic rifle, gun, beam saber, weapon, shield, anything at all. I'll be arranging them and deciding what I'll be using for my mech.

Well good news, I was able to pick up the Gundam X locally, no need to actually order one now, but I gotta order the Double X online. Until then I'm going to be getting some outlines made, along with a backstory for it.

So right now I'm doing my research on what fabrics would be very flexible (As I want the cloth on the cloak to drape down the model instead of looking stiff and scratchy looking.) I am thinking of getting a little bit of silk or something like that and then making measurements so I can get it just right. I might take a shot at making some mounts for the cloak to attach to the shoulders like Sandrock.

I have made my choices for the Gundam. A mixture of Gundam X and Double X, along with some parts I'll be ordering online. The overall theme of the suit is more or less an ice-theme, with it having a specially-made weapon that can reach temperatures of -273.15 Celsius (0 Kelvin, absolute 0) and I'll be making the plastic have a gas-like effect coming off of it (Think of the fog that liquid nitrogen makes) and the theory behind this weapon is based off of Gundam Sandleon's Hi-Cold Shotels that were said to be able to shatter Mobile suit armor like glass due to the extreme cold making the metal brittle. I'll be scratch building this weapon once I figure out what I want it to be. (More than likely a modified gouf heat sword) However I am also going to be making a diffusing cloak (Like Sandrock's) for the Double X's shoulders since they'll be the template I'll be making. I plan on using a thin cloth that will be very flexible won't look stiff like you'd see in barbie doll clothing. So all in all here's the makeup of the design. Head: (Either Gundam X, and my customized Gundam X Maoh head) Torso: Double X Shoulders: Double X Arms: Gundam X Hands: TBD Legs: Double X Feet: Double X Confirmed Weapons: Modified sword (I'll be naming it the GXC-01 Gundam X Cold Sword) Modified sword (GXH-01 Gundam X Heat Sword) Possible Weapons: Beam Rifle (I am putting this here because I don't know what model I want to use) Shield (Again, picking the model) Twin Satellite Cannons (Will be optional armaments, I don't want to base my gundam off of these weapons, I prefer to build the body, then select the weapons.) Beam Scattergun (I wanted to try and get one from the Sazabi kit, but I'm not sure if this part'll fit in the hands unless I do some resizing.)

Actually in Abyssea you could hop to another parallel dimension through Atomos. EDIT: But I digress, it was a bad idea to begin with, so I'm going to figure out how to get something going.

So it has come to my attention several times that in FFXIV there is the concept of dimension hopping...I know it's a dumb idea, but would that be possible for say someone like our character from FFXI being caught in the swirling vortex that took them from Valkurm to Misareaux Coast (Or was it Lu'fais Meadows? I forget) to get sucked to Eorzea during the act of teleportation... I know it's a dumb question and I plan to catch flak, but my character from FFXI was actually rather established in terms of RP'ing with my group of friends, and I'm having a severely tough time trying to read all of FFXIV's lore so that I don't mess up (Believe me, it's tough with school.) but if it doesn't make sense that's totally ok, I was just wondering if it's possible
