I have a feeling they might have more to announce regarding the server merge. We all know how much Square likes to break up their messaging into chunks, just to spread things out.

I chose #9, because #1, 2, 3 and #7 are going to be popular numbers. It would be bad for the community if we went to a server that closed itself off to users prior to getting all of the RPers in. Also, I agree with Oskar. We need to use a bit of sense. Most of the NA players are going to be concentrated into the top seven servers on the list, along with the zergs and trolls. Between FFXIV and TERA, I'm kind of getting tired of developers from Asian countries failing to understand the concept that roleplayers exist.

*shivers* uhhhh yes that didn't turn out good at all Not at all, not at all. That said, I think Square is more than likely to just increase the incidence of Skill Points if they ACTUALLY listen. Funny thing? The JP players think Square's listening more to the Western audience, and we, the Westerners, think Square is listening to JP players when it comes to their games. Reality: Square doesn't give a fuck what we or their home audience thinks. They just do things and throw it at us.

It's FF14rpchat, and it's on irc.allakhazam.com At least, that's what I last remember. It's empty at the moment. Nobody seems to be using IRC. EDIT: The chat's somewhat alive now that beta has ended. Go to http://chat.mibbit.com and click on Server next to the dropdown menu, input irc.allakhazam.com, and put #ff14rpchat into the channel box, and type your name into the nick box. Then click Go. You will then arrive at the chat channel.

Let's avoid confusing the issue further and stick with the plan we all agreed on: to vote on a server once we have the final list. Understood. It shouldn't be long...

We're not going to have a lot of character slots, so reserving your name on every server is impossible in OB. (yay, Captain Obvious!) What I think we need to do is decide on the destination server quickly. Since we'd been on Jecht in closed beta, it would likely reduce the amount of frustration and confusion by remaining on Jecht in Open Beta going into retail. Just my two cents -- because of this, I'm pretty sure just about everyone is going to end up voting for Jecht. -NK

The XP rate outside of guildleves is extremely low and random. Sometimes you get 200 skillpoints, sometimes you get twenty, or none at all. They need to make it consistent, so that players can figure out what is best to grind on outside of leves. Of course, the Surplus system doesn't help...

The channel has been open for some time. Try going to irc.allakhazam.com for the server... The channel is #ff14rpchat. Believe me, it's there, and I'm there, just that nobody's getting IN there for some reason or other. How are you guys trying to reach the server?

I vote "Yay". I've taken the liberty of registering the #ff14rpchat channel on irc.allakhazam.com, and will be giving Op privileges to anyone who wishes to help moderate the channel. I don't want to take too active a role in keeping the peace.

Well my perception is that all this is having the opposite effect: MORE PEOPLE have shown up in the FF14rpchat on FFOChat since the disrespect started. What the hell, people? This chatroom was basically EMPTY with only one to three idlers for the last few days, and suddenly we start getting a few more people every day. Evidently, the "Don't Feed The Trolls" sign got painted over with "Hey, Come On In, We'll Eat YOU Up!" >

Not So Much Of A News Flash: I've been banned from the Vanadiel chat channel sometime during the last 12 hours. I don't know why, because that spat from earlier only resulted in a kick. So what the hell? Seriously guys, give upon FFOChat and move to Allakhazam's server for the RP Chat. I do NOT want to stay in that FFOChat IRC server for another day. There is a principle here that you guys are completely ignoring: RESPECT. If we continue to patronize the FFOChat server, we are VALIDATING their behavior. It's like giving candy to a brat who keeps kicking your shins.

It does have a good community, but the dolts running FFOChat have had a stick up their asses about the auto-join function. They're the ones causing the problem, and they just can't SEE that. The FF14Rpchat channel at Allakhazam is up, and we're waiting for peeps to come in. I'm still looking for someone to take ownership of the channel so I don't have to keep adminning it. Aveline? Please?

I've already established a temporary #ff14rpchat channel at Allakhazam. Can someone please come in there so I can op them? I'm currently on campus wifi, and that means I'll have to disconnect at some point during the day.

Done got booted from #vanadiel too. I think it's time for us to move our IRC channels elsewhere. That goes for you too, TALE. Don't give these rude little punks your business. That said, I believe we need to go to another server. I suggest Allakhazam. There's a good FFXI/XIV community on there, along with a bunch of other MMOs. irc.allakhazam.com is where I recommend we go. I'm a bit familiar with Pikko from the FFXI/XIV Zam community, so I'm sure she can set us up. She's busy or AFK half the time though. Who's in agreement?

The beta testers in RPC haven't encountered a macro system yet, but we're keeping an eye out for it.

That's the idea... :3 So far, I'm talking with Rain on some ideas of how Feral and Rain could end up meeting and joining together for like-minded goals. If anyone is interested in being involved with Feral, just speak up in here.

I plan to make it so that there will be sort of a mini-series being made out of this as I progress through the world of FFXIV. NPCs from FFXIV would likely make appearances and the like.
