I am not quite sure if there are any Linkshell/FC or group has ever thought about making something related to this. So I am going to give it a try. I've met various groups that are associated with merchants, mercenaries, bandits, criminals, villains, Flame soldiers, cultists, paladins and adventurers. But honestly, let's face it. I have -not- actually seen a specific department that has a group associated with certain Disciple of Hand/Land. So I hereby want to start a Linkshell or even any of my FC members to join in on this interesting activity. A.C.C. - Arcadeus Culinary Corp. Wishes and Encourages every members to join this group to practice their Culinary leveling while roleplaying, but as well as leveling other skills such as Mining/Botany/Fishing for culinary ingredients. Through the practice of roleplaying in this group, the grand chef Ellaria Althene will be instructing and lead all other chefs to become as great as her. (And no, it would definitely not be a new episode of Hell's Kitchen starring Gordon Ramsey if that is what you had in mind). When our FC Arcadeus opens up their own housing space (we are on the goal of having the largest plot), we plan to open a department of restaurant and cafe/bar available for all guests. This is just a stepping stone and tip of the iceberg for us to start up on our own culinary crew. ---------------------------------------------- What is the catch? There is nothing suspicious about anything regarding this. Our job is to make foods and leveling at the same time. Everyone will help each other to gather ingredients of course! There will be times where we will -NOT- be actually cooking foods for all players out there due to the expense and rarity of some ingredients. We hope everyone to understand that we will do our best to cook certain foods for you. If you are ICly roleplaying and requesting for certain foods, and the ingredient is just impossible for us to gain OOCly within that time - we ask that you just play along ICly that you have received it. Is there a place for us to roleplay as group of chefs? QUICKSAND--- just kidding. We are planning to station ourselves in either Vesper Bay (Arcadeus's temporary HQ) or even just request to borrow someone's plot temporarily until we get our own plot. Is this just only people who will level Mining/Fishing/Botany/Culinary? It is an idea of leveling, but we definitely do not mind people who wish to take the role of waiter/waitress and bartender! They will all train Do I get paid for this? Unfortunately, this whole run-down corporation does not cover benefits, 401k, or even give single gil for your works OOCly. You will ICly be paid however with benefits starting from entry level and through all training program. This is an amazing idea! What can I do to contribute to this? This idea is completely optional! It is hard for me/others to gather most ingredients and cook foods all the time within my budget, so if there any donations/tips that are being funded to Arcadeus - they will directly be funded for the future restaurant/cafe housing and ingredients to encourage this. (Arcadeus will remain as relief organization even if the culinary is processed) Do I have to join Free Company to be part of this? Not at all! This will be a Linkshell activity for everyone to enjoy, however we encourage that you will join us for Free Company in the future if you wish to have more access to any of our activities! What kind of members do you need? There will be two Sous Chef chosen by Ellaria in the future by their performance. Others will start from entry level trainee to regular chefs. Some will become instructors. Waiters/Waitresses will also start from entry level trainees then become full time and become instructors. Bartenders, Sommeliers, Baristas will also be picked by their area of specialties. Last, the miners/botanists/fishers will be known as "Gatherers" and we will expect that they We also require bodyguards/securities/inspectors, and doctors/alchemists as well as lawyers in case if there any health hazard or suspicious customers that may appear before us. If we join this, are we OBLIGATED to give you the actual ingredients all the time? Definitely not. This is a fun activity, and it should not be something that will affect you from not gaining your own Gil for your own benefits. Ingredients to this activity is the last priority that you should be doing, and it is just a contribution - not bribery or payment for taxes. No one's perfect. Everyone makes mistakes and also they have different opinions and taste and thoughts. It's best to let each other know about it before hand, negotiate and understand by communicating.

People should hold their session and do it next day if one has to go IRL wise. Just like how there is always a new episode of The Days of Our Lives while it holds off during the tense events at the end of episode.

I've seen a lot of RPers who just grief on other RPs by just jumping into a conversation for a second to demean you and they just leave before you could even bother to say anything so that they can't hear you (like zoning out). Those people are encouraged to ignore on many occasion because they aren't really roleplaying to interact with you but they are just being sadistically trolling. It's either you RP or you don't RP. At least this person had the courtesy to RP with you, and you both negotiated with something. That's how it should work. No one should be labeled as "I cannot be arrested or I can't get hurt." Because that's just really not making anything fun. That is why WoW RP system was really broken 80% of the time because no one wanted to be arrested for their crimes, so they just "stealth" away or use BS method to get away from such situations

If you are ICly playing along with it, then it is your consequence of pushing the plot. If you are going to intervene into someone else's plot, you can probably contact them OOCly in Private asking "Hey, is the conversation between You and the character ABC loud? If yes, then do you mind if my character heard it and intervene?" - Or you can use 'emote' by text saying that you were "talking in a very low tone for people to unable to hear you." Even Elezen who may hear a bird chirping from a mile away cannot hear group of people whispering to each other's ear if they are talking in an extremely low volume. There are many things that can be avoidable to prevent any further dramas. But you'll have to remember that once you respond to these conflicts ICly, then you'll have to do something to change your words for it like D&D. When your situation has occurred, you can go and say ((Hold on a moment here. Can we talk about this OOCly?))

I see Rickter's point of view, and sometimes making a new character and deleting a character can cause a lot of risk of losing your efforts, gils and levels you've spent on your character. As a matter of fact, making a new character has downsides too. Such as starting the story once more, doing those dreadful dungeons when you don't want to and last - reshaping your ranks for Grand Companies and earning minions, mounts and achievements etc etc etc. It's really a pain. What I can suggest really is to keep that Fantasia bottle as long as possible. Honestly, I still think SQEnix should offer name-change and fantasia bottle payment service if players change their mind. But yes, using one item restoration policy is something important and people should becareful what they ticket. What if you lost your Relic +1 somehow (you can't really lose it) and you need to restore it? Seriously SQEnix. Once per "Account" Load of garbage and douchebaggery ._.

There is a slight question. Do people care about what the tag is called on your Free Company even if it's <> when your RP Free Company is called "Knights of Vanguard" for example? It's a theoretical question and I just want to see people's response. ((Please don't get the wrong idea that I am asking because I've seen FC do that, I am just asking to see what other people would say))
