This is pretty sad that there aren't people who'd be interested in such groups. Less criminal groups, more crafting communities. D:

Already met this person, very ferocious @_@. So if you are really nice person, be on double alert!

In search of a new home and like-minded contacts!
Aldotsk replied to Dravus's topic in RP Discussion
Feel always contact me through the game. My character is Ellaria Althene if you wish to create connections and possible ideas to shape my FC -
Ellaria is Renaissance lady, who has knowledge in the religions of the twelve, and has connections in deals regarding merchants and trades. Last, she is also an employer who would hire for something simple but also good natured reasons.

Eh. I'm pretty Lassiez Faire about the whole thing. If you can't get past Turn 2 the regular way, you won't make it past Turn 4 anyway. Pretty much what Liadan has said, sadly if you don't have 7 friends or a FC willing to teach the intended way of handling Turn 2 you won't get far in T4. .... Not everyone has 7 friends or has huge FC/LS community to work things out to do Turn 2 like you say. So that argument is kind of invalid.

I would agree and disagree on Enrage method. It IS an easy way out to clear Turn 2, but for those who have been running many times has still failed to clear it normally because of lack of gears and DPS. Honestly, the worst part is when you are trying to fight ADS withing 4~6 clicks and you can't seem to kill it in that amount of time. I would suggest to try and do enrage and do it normal way afterwards because with the way people want to get Allagan gears right now is just a milestone if you try it regular way.

Hello! I used to be from Gilgamesh but you'll love it there. Be sure to check Gilgamesh Event in the forum for any updates for the future references! Welcome aboard again!

I am pretty sure Renault really implied the arrest as if someone was stealing/pickpocketing - it's not for Sultansworn and Immortal Flames to be involved in the matter of arresting.

Welcome aboard fellow D&D RPer! Hope you'll enjoy your stay in Balmung at least If you have any questions or like to get along, feel free to message Ellaria Althene. Because one of my characters is a criminal does not mean I am a criminal. This man seems to laugh at his own sarcasm and jokes, but doesn't seem to catch someone's joke/sarcasm. :U

Sultansworns are diverse by corrupts and goods. Just like real life. However, Ul'dah is really nothing but FFXIV version of Gotham to many perspectives. In the end, Sultansworns don't kill their suspects or innocent people. They are to arrest and put the criminals on trial. IF they were to kill, the only way is if the criminals commit resist by turning themselves to be void sent or attempt to harm others and act on trying to murder someone. Sultansworns are not going to raise their weapons first. That's one part of lore that has not changed like every other paladins. Also it's kind of funny how a criminal character is trying to teach us how Ul'dah's security and politics work.

> Brass Blades > Part of Monetarists > Funded by Lolorito Ul'dah was dying anyways. What you said isn't wrong. But that is why the scale of Ul'dah exists to balance the scale and the triangular system of politics. Brass Blade also tends to monitor mostly outside of Ul'dah capital than in the city. They are mostly guards that protect the Thanalan stations, while it is right for Sultansworns and Flame guards to watch over the capital and make sure nothing funny is going on. Any crime activities in the city is considered as a threat to the city even if it may not be a term of war since it affects the citizens to be harmed in any way. Also the law of Ul'dah states that the Sultansworns are to take action if the matters can be a threat to the royalty and council such as cultist activities or group of crime syndicates. Who even dares to wear Brass Blade anyways?

Renault Delumiere - Dashing Rapscallion

I have seen it all. -
It's likely, but not necessarily the case for all of them. An idealistic few might have notions of changing things for the better from within. Granted, such ideas would make them a number of enemies, but with the right allies - who knows? I'm a big fan of these types of stories. In many settings, you often hear about that kingdom or organization with a reputation for being a bastion of law and order but has seedy characters wreaking havoc for the social norm behind the scenes. Turning that on its head can be fun, too - albeit no less dangerous. Definitely, my character Anelia rejoined the leagues of Sultansworn being in charge of investigations and enforcement becoming the prosecutor of crime and punishment. Her new league "Phantom Sweep" will be the ones to try and bring back the former rightful Royalist idea to stop political corruption and clean out some Quicksand bandits if possible. This will definitely bring up some corrupted Sultansworns and free paladins who will rise up to this cause and can possibly have a war within the Sultana council.

Without a doubt, this thread has been very essential and helpful for everyone to share their opinions and clarify things a bit better. In every roleplays, characters always seem to just think that everyone will exactly have the same thoughts as others, and that's the biggest problem there. Talk it out and negotiate. We are all here to have fun, and it'd be just terrible to endure such drama and break friendships with others. Sure there are some players who don't appreciate your IC intervention, and if they don't appreciate it and they tell you to stay out of it, then it's probably best to just not be involved at all. Why create a drama about it really? Also any cops style character should not just go off and make an arrest without knowing full stories. :U C'mon. Even Natalie has a notebook she carries around to write full stories when she investigates. (except she hasn't been doing that lately.)

Patriotic tradition has limits in my honest opinion. No matter how much Sultansworn may be good or lawful they may be, in the end they have to agree and cooperate with Monetarists if they HAVE to even if it means of going with corrupted power. In Ul'dah politics, there are Royalists and Monetarists of course and Royalists are those who follow the ideals of Nanamo even if it may be new rules applied to all Sultansworns and free paladins. Now, if the Monetarists are fully corrupting and abusing the system of Sultana and Sultansworn - wouldn't you think that those who are "Lawful/Chaotic Good" people would resign out like Solkzagyl and tell other new paladins to find their way instead of being chained down by corrupted bureaucrats? Aside from Limsa Lominsa and Gridania, I honestly think Ul'dah has a very complicated political system, yet a lot of corrupted political power inside. Tradition or not, if something goes rotten - you throw it away and find a new one.
