1. Aaand after spending a good few hours just staring at my enrollmemt form amd class schedules for the term I realize that I may not have as much free time as I thought or if it did, it'd be like EST mornings. Which, iirc is pretty much a graveyard shift...if the QS is any good metric. That and I really need to study. Like really study. Like oh shit engineering is going to kick my ass if I don't. So I'll hand this character slot to my cousin for him to do whatever with Nivs. Twas nice meeting you all though. For now and the coming months. Ninetters is signing out.
2. *Following some of these IC looking for contacts thread, also breaking the fourth wall like my cousin...who may or may not realize his Seeking connection thread is in Events section. :3 Coding can do that to a person sometimes* "So glad to see you dear, hrm...'Reader.' Yes, 'Reader.' And welcome to my humble office." Her eyebrows quirked as she leaned back on the red chair she sat on. "Such a silly question, 'Where is your office" A chuckle escaped the Elezen's lips before quieting herself. "Well the 4th ward and 3rd plot of the Lavender Beds of course! If the placard says Roots-Estate or something, you're already on the right track. Would you care for a drink? The mini-bar's behind you. I've a few books for you to peruse and comfortable South Sea couches to lounge on. Honestly you can bring your friends and they can lounge around while we get to business." "So tell me dear 'Reader' what exactly brings you to the doorstep of this particular adventurer? A job perhaps for a pair of shortblades, maybe you'd like it clean and quick." Grabbing the aforementioned weapons she jabbed one on the table. "Or maybe a bit more...extravagant? I'll have you know these...blades of mine were remade from a stock of lesser quality into these fine instruments by quite the unexpected and yet talented smith, no doubt. Gegenji made blades, I hear they're a renowned family of Doman smiths." She pulled the blade out of the desk and slotted it back behind the cover of the wooden desk. A clear mark left on the table. "Perhaps you're here for something more...carnal? Perhaps you've heard of me, or perhaps not. Ul'dah was where I used to ply my other vice. And wouldn't you know it, I still do." A firm nod and proud, shameless smile danced on her lips. "Don't look at me like that. If you've come here knowing nothing then now you know, if you've come here knowing about it, then don't be shy." An exasperated sigh escaped her lips as the smile faded and her shoulders sagged. "Ah but perhaps you're an Ishgardian looking to haul me back to my 'uncle'" Her fingers raised and quoting the air. "I don't know if he's still my uncle for appearances but you can tell my father, his bastard daughter is not going to go back and stay back in Ishgard any time soon. And if you're looking to use force." She chuckled, the air almost charged as her arm cackled with the excess discharges of the dark aether the fueled her. And as sudden as it came the malevolence left but there was a marked change in her tone. "Maybe you're not here for any of the above." She leaned forward, propping her elbows on the desk, grabbing the bottle of Eorzean red and pouring two glasses, handing one over to you, dear Reader. "Tell me then, what you're here for. Mayhap there's an agreement to be found here. Mayhap your idea is exactly what'd tickle my fancy. Who knows, oui?" She raised her glass and took a sip looking expectant. _________ I'm always on the lookout for adventure, take my feet somewhere and just travel the world really. Actual DRK training would be splendid though. But less on the martial and more on the Darkside yes? Specifically controlling such a power. I may sound like I don't know what I want and you're probably right. So I'm taking the lazy route and hoping someone pitches something to me. Yes I'm the kind that works on existing ideas and see how else to tweak it. Original ideas sort of...elude me I think ;w;
3. "Ninette Oirellain, Santa has something extra special for you this year! You're at the top of the nice list!" Dohohohoho I managed to slip by! *Sells her body in Ul'dah but ocake. Seems legit.*
4. Nyahaha mine's also trivial since I just take it as I come and roll with whatever happens. Then there's a that almost crippling embarrassment if I ever realized I did something wrong.
5. (Sort of) updated wiki! Also I may be able to sneak in short-ish rp sessions too! Yay wow buuuut They're probably going to be in super weird hours of the night.
6. After much deliberation, I've decided! Decided to be a majestic glorious dhalmel once more. It will be majestic and glorious. Please look forward to it! Also I'm a bit indisposed for holidays. I can get on but not stay on long enough for roleplay.
7. :3 I'll be waiting hopefully you'll make it, YOU CAN DOO EEETTT!!
8. Also anyone wanna help me test out the system thingy is that all too 'eugh' for you guys? I mean we can just do away with it. That works too just thought to add flair and danger to the expedition other than roflstomping every overmap mob we come across. Remember 9PM EST!
9. Yay I'm already max height middie. Hrm well anyway thanks for the brainstorming and back and forth. I'll still be fully midlander or fully elezen but I won't make that decision at least until after my expedition thing and Chachan delivers the personal Yukimitsu commission. If I'll still feel like being Elezen afterward anyway.
10. I guess there's the whole "the Mongrel" thing... but... my point was that as far as I can remember there isn't any indication that people's grumping about her had to do specifically with her being a half-breed. People will tend to grasp at whatever straw they can when it comes time to insult others, and so if they had other reasons for disdain towards her (and let's be fair, sassy headstrong badass women do tend to draw the ire of men who just can't handle the rawrness), it seems like taking some stabs at her heritage would just be an easy way to go. Which means that it's entirely plausible that someone else as a half-breed might not have the same reaction from others, especially if they keep their racial origin on the down-low. Basically letting others assume she's merely fully one or the other, rather than parading down the street yelling "I'M A BIG OL' HALFIE, WHAT'CHU GOT ON ME WORLD". Ahhh now if only I could find a nice midway point between Elezen and Midlahahaha there's no midpoint between the character models so I'll have to point that out too. Oh and given her background as a whore-for-fun among other things, people have a lot of ammunition to use against her. Ammunition I've seen only one person use aaanyways....you couple that with... ...this guy's idea and I think that's the building blocks of someone who either has stupidly high will power or uses the sex as a form of ecstatic escapism from the pressure. Speaking of a half-breed...how exactly would that work? Midlander height and pointy ears or a really tall and lanky elezen-height with more rounded ears? Just in case the idea becomes a bit too attractive to pass up but she already carries enough stigma as it is so maybe I could shelf it for another concept.
11. Still though wouldn't being a half-breed warrant it's own set of problems...though I suppose it's nice padding for if the Oirellain House is in fact Elezen. Really I think I've made her backstory applicable to both Midlander or Wildwood so it doesn't really matter what form she takes even if she is half-bred too. Or even full-toast durr hurr hurr. At least I haven't chucked around that the Oirellain's are Elezen. Bruce can easily be a shortened Brucemont. And I haven't once stated her and her mother to be Wildwood or Midlander. Don't you put your cleavage in my posts! But on a serious note, haha, I don't think it really presents any serious problems. There aren't even apparently the usual fantasy setting half-breed problems of racism or non-acceptance... as far as I could tell, Hilda seemed pretty accepted by everybody. Then again, I might've missed something there, or been oblivious, so... eh. Pretty sure everyone gave her shit. I mean the MSQuests that lead up to meeting her all detail how she's blah blah blah and no one really liked her except for mama bear dearest. Okay so being half-bread may throw a wrench in her Ishgardian arc.

13. I don't think French names are exclusive to Elezen, but rather, indicative of an origin in Ishgard, generally (which happens to be an origin point for a great many Elezen, but not exclusively, there are also plenty of Midlanders who are from Ishgard). To my understanding, there are half-breeds. Why not just say the character is half-Midlander, half-Elezen, and then if you happen to feel like switching up the wireframe model used for the character it doesn't arguably offer any change to who she is at all? "Oh, haha, with my old haircut you could hardly notice the points of my ears anyway, but you can see it more easily with this new haircut." Are you saying....be Hilda? @u@ b-but I can't be as hot as she is... @u@
