This unassuming, leather-bound tome was sent out in the night to dozens, up to hundreds of bookstores and scholars in Eorzea. It does not look ominous or threatening, though it is quite thick, but upon opening, the reader would be treated, in bold text, to a title on the first page. NECROLOGOS TRITOGENIS An unfinished treatise on Umbralogy and Voidsent summoning by Zerayya al Rahal Everything is in blocky, printed font, in black ink, and the book details the anatomy and biology of various types of voidsent, from a very precise and comprehensive look at the Ahriman and Bomb to a more sketchy, unfinished look at the voidsent form of the Dullahan (Not to be confused with the soulkin Dullahan) among other things. In particular, it looks at the common psychology and behaviours of the voidsent and the manner of method (including the summoning diagrams) in which to summon and control them through willpower and arcanima, giving parallels to summoning a carbuncle. It also details the sacrifices necessary to summon various forms of voidsent, most of which require a living, and sometimes spoken, sacrifice. The foreword is writ as such: If this book is already in circulation, it means that I, Zerayya al Rahal, have already died. This book is the product of sixteen years of blood, sweat, and tears. Many people out there would want to destroy this book despite the wealth of knowledge it represents. Do not let them. Knowledge should not be held back. It should not be reined in, tamed and be made harmless. My fellow scholars, this is the sort of 'Forbidden Knowledge' that history has sought to deny us. My only regret was that I had not finished my book before someone found me. Zerayya al Rahal. (OOC: This is the legacy of my previous character, Zeraia Reynard. She would have sent this book out to many people, anyone who might have been interested and sympathetic, and she would also have sent it out to bookstores, mixed in amongst the other books. You could use this book in your RP ingame as a starting point if you want! Message me if you require any details.)

I don't know about the rest of you but I doubt every single person in my FC is going to spend three months farming daily. We work, have families and, you know, would like to RP and enjoy other aspects of the game. This thought process right here, that YoshiP expressed, just enrages me. 7 days a week. Three months. They're expecting people to buy it in -three- months. Not in a month. Not in even two. You want to extend your content? Release it three months later then. Don't give me bullshit about extending content. Don't give me bullshit about RMT and legacy gil. This is just balls-out stupid. You're locking out low-hours players out of an advertised part of the game altogether, one that has been advertised since the beginning of 2.0. I'm through offering suggestions when their thought process from the start has been flawed. I'll see how SE handles it. From what I hear, if FC housing is like this, then they're expecting the same thing from Personal Housing. 3 months to farm gil for a house indeed.

WTT EU Collector's Edition for NA due to region mixup
Zeraia replied to Zeraia's topic in FFXIV Discussion
Thank you for the replies, everyone; I managed to find someone who had an US code and managed to exchange the pre-order codes, at the very least. I found out that my CE goodies won't carry over, which I should have already foreseen before, sadly, but at least someone else will get the goodies, so my money isn't all that wasted! -
I'm asking everyone here for help. I ordered a Collector's Edition from GMG, because they were selling a digital CE of FFXIV, and I couldn't find any on the market because I was specifically not able to buy anything from the SE store. Amazon would not let me buy it because it is limited in my region, which is Singapore. I needed a NA version since my 1.0 account was NA, and GMG did not specifically say that they were selling a EU version. Fast forward to just before launch, and now I realize that they sold me an EU Collector's Edition, which I can't use on my NA account. I tried going to GMG and they said they are unable to refund the order or change it to EU, because it's been a few months and also because the code were already sent out. I tried going to Square, but I've been trying to get their support chat or telephone number going and it's just not working (Mostly because the chat queue is about 2 hours long and the telephone number isn't working for me. By the way, what is the region code for 1-858-790-7529?). So now I'm asking for a trade, for someone who has a NA version of the CE, for the EU version of the CE. Please help me if possible. I'm trying all other avenues of support and it's coming up dry.

Hello there! :3 Welcome to the site!

Like a tumor. The good kind. There's a good kind of tumor, right? Even benign tumors eventually progress to malignant tumors. :3

Oh hai Toxa :3 I didn't see that you poked this forum first. Anyways, Toxa is pretty well known enough from GW2 that he really doesn't need an introduction. He is a great RPer though! I hope to see you around more!

Ohai Peria. :3 Peria's a great RPer and Zeraia used to be active on Ashenfold as well, before things with me and ArenaNet soured. Nonetheless, hello Peria! It's great to see you here :3 Though I will likely keep Zeraia's incarnation in this game more backgroundy, and less visible than in GW2.

I've a good grasp of RP myself, and I don't mind mentoring people too, but I'd personally like someone to teach me the very basics of the lore and how the RP community does things. I've actually looked up the history already (thank you to the people who summed up the 1.0 storyline!) But I'm looking for stuff like interspecies/factional interactions and such. There's not a lot given there. If this is the wrong place to put this request, um... I RPed somewhat well for about 10 years, so I can probably mentor someone!
