  1. I hope it's cherry! [Gathers up the pie.] Thank you! This has really been a warm welcome. Thanks a lot, everyone.
  2. I'm glad I could be of some help. About the attachable controller keyboard, the only complaint I see is that the buttons are a little small. As long as that isn't a big deal to you, then it might be an interesting asset to RPing on PS3. If small keys aren't your thing, a regular usb plug-n-play keyboard should work just fine, too. Happy gaming!
  3. I'M SORRY FOR SPAMMING THIS THREAD. You're just asking the same questions I was searching for and found some answers. From what I learned, if you press the PS button and the START button at the same time, you can take a screenshot of mostly any game. I'm not sure if it's true for FFXIV, but that's how you take a general screenshot. To transfer it to your computer, all you need is a usb memory stick and send it to the memory stick and plug it into your computer to send it to the web and whatnot. It's a process, but it's not too big of a deal (to me, subjectively).
  4. I'm pretty sure it's SELECT and then the TRIANGLE button. A little option should come up and tell you which is which for the ps KEYBOARD.
  5. I just use a regular computer keyboard with a usb plug in. You don't really need to spend all that money on a special ps3 keyboard when a regular keyboard works just fine.
  6. You're reproducing! And Hyunseo, hope you enjoy your stay. That spells a lot of trouble. Hope to see you in game sometime. Be sure stay away from Navei, he's all kinds of trouble! :cactuar: Evil? Me?! No way! Maybe a chaotic neutral, but this is very interesting. Nice to meet all of you and I hope to see you guys around soon! If any of you want to come up with a meeting or something, I'm always up for it. [Gave Navei a cursory "I'm watching you" gesture.]
  7. My character stayed behind. ARR and FFXIV is a completely new concept to me. I still need to learn the lore and learn how to properly RP in it, so I think it might be best to RP Dhesi'a as someone who was left behind. In being left behind, however, and maybe even a little oblivious to the happening in the past, would be a good thing for new players. The game is a continuation of the story is set up to where new characters can now follow in the footsteps of the forgotten heroes of yesteryore. So, really, even though it might not sound as fun not holding the same glory as those who were transported, new players are put up to the test of fitting their boots a little.
  8. MMO-wise, I celebrate my character's birthday, but they don't exactly age. Most of the time I pick a race that is very youthful; the kind that can age centuries and still look fifteen. Unless it's Mabinogi. And even then, they have their elves. But characters on that MMO age and I like it. Characters aging are a difficult things to manage, though.
  9. Ooh. I've never heard of a LGBT guild before. That's wonderful! For some reason I never thought those existed. I suppose because not a lot of game allow for gay marriages, thus equating to LGBT guilds didn't exist either. Hope to apply some time.
  10. I. Basic Info Characters: Dhesi'a Aliapoh, R'edh Molko Primary character: R'edh Molko. Linkshells: None as of now. Primary RP linkshell: None as of now. II. RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): Medium—Heavy. Views on RP combat and injuries: Willing to learn more about it, but I'm admittedly clueless on how to RP combat within an MMO. I have, however, RP'd injuries and am fine with playing them out. I don't like MMO combat resulting in permadeath unless it's been agreed upon. Views on IC romance: I'm fine with my character falling in love. I've never RP'd sexual situations between characters, and although I wouldn't mind trying, I wouldn't want to set anyone up for disappointment, either. I don't think I'm one to have my characters have casual sex, so everything must work up to that point. I try to keep IC and OOC separate, always. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): I don't mind having family ties, but I'd like to talk things out about our character's relationship and their history. I really like to talk things out. Views on lore: I love lore, but I'm still learning. I want to stick to it as much as possible and immerse myself into the world. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): I will probably use them accordingly. /say for public RP, /linkshell for RPing with mates, /tell for OOC or RPing with just one person, and so on. I'll do my best to mark when I'm in character and when I'm not. III. Other Info Country: US Timezone: EST Contact info: skype — seoless Don't hesitate to add me. Just tell me in the contact message that you're from the RPC! [align=center][glow=blue]~Special announcements can be found in the posts below~[/glow][/align]
  11. This is Dhesi'a. I'm pretty happy with him. I'm not sure if I'm going to keep him like this when the game releases, but so far, I'm liking his look. His clothes...erm...not so much, so just admire his face for now, okay? [Copyright © 2010 - 2013 SQUARE ENIX CO., LTD. All Rights Reserved.]
  12. Wow, guys! Thanks for the very warm welcome! I'm excited to get things started and make friends. Hope to learn more from you guys in the future!
  13. Thank you! A big welcome to you, too (since you are new as well, ahaha). It really is impressive. I kind of feel a little like I'm in over my head, which is also why I'd like a bit of help with the RPers, as they are the ones who care most about the lore and story, I think. But even still, I'm beyond excited. Hope to see you around, if the fates allow! I'd love to make as many friends as I can.
  14. Hello! I'm looking to make a male Keeper of the Moon Miqo'te as my main character upon release of the game. However, it's very new to me, and the culture and lore of just the Miqo'te species in general is very different from anything I've played, and I feel like if I tried on my own to play out a character as such that I wouldn't be giving the race justice. Also, FFXIV in general is completely new to me, so I want to make things right and learn as much as I can, but also have a buddy to show me the ropes. I could always use a friend and a mentor. Hopefully I'm not jumping in way above my head? Erm... I'm not new to RPing, but this whole story is so new that I feel that I need to take some baby steps. I'd also would love help with maybe figuring out what guild would be good for me? I'd really love a guild that would also be centred around roleplaying. EDIT: Currently, Dhesi'a is on server Gilgamesh.
  15. Hello, I'm Hyunseo. I'm very new to FFXIV and it's lore and offerings. Albeit that fact, I'm not new to RPing at all, as I've been doing so for almost a decade, now (Oh, God. That makes me sound so old). I'm also not new to MMOs, as I've been playing them for almost as long (Scions of Fate, Mabinogi, Vindictus, TERA, Aion, Age of Wushu, etc). However, playing games like those haven't lasted very long, and it's not because I did not enjoy them, but rather, I hadn't a group of people that I not only enjoyed playing with, but also enjoyed RPing with. Even though there were roleplay communities in some of these games, it's never been exactly my cup of tea...but I want to change that. Everyone here seems so lovely and welcoming. FFXIV has been something that I've been waiting to get my hands on for a while, and so now that I have been graced with entry to Closed Beta Phase 3, I have sought out this community, hoping to find others that would care to take me in. I'm a little clueless, but I love learning and I love making friends. Thank you for taking time to read this, if you have. Cheers!
