I. Basic Info Character:L'ohba Tia Linkshells:None yet II. RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): I'd consider myself a heavy RPer, but medium is fine too. I try to stay in character as often as possible, unless someone wants me to do some content with them. But I'm a Savage raider on my main, so I just prefer to RP as much as I can on here. Views on RP combat and injuries: Combat isn't typically something my character would get into, but I think it can be done properly without dice as long as both writers are competent. I understand a lot of people like dice rolls, though. And that's fine. Views on IC romance: I love romance. It inevitably leads to drama, but it can also lead to wonderful stories. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): I also love this, of course. Not everything needs to be, or should be, about romance. Views on lore: I've been playing FFXIV since 1.0, and I've always loved the lore. I'm a huge lore nut and I know just about everything there is to know about it. I think it's silly when people blatantly go against the lore, because there's easily enough leeway in any area to fit in any kind of story you might want to write about. For example, white mages are considered dangerous except for chosen padjal, but that doesn't mean it's impossible to learn it on your own, or from some heretical teacher. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): One of the reasons I like Balmung is because roleplayers here aren't afraid to talk in /say. [*] III. Hi, everyone. Just looking to introduce myself and hopefully make some connections. I'm not new to the game, but I've just started a character on Balmung for roleplaying, and slipping myself into the community seems like a pretty daunting task. I'd say I'm a medium/heavy roleplayer. I like to stay in character as much as possible. I enjoy a more relaxed, day-to-day kind of roleplaying atmosphere. I've been playing since 1.0 and I love this game's world, so I just enjoy trying to live the life of a 'normal' person in Eorzea. Trying to see the world from the eyes of someone who isn't an adventurer or suited for battle. That isn't to say I'm opposed to more intense stories if I happen to get involved, but my character just isn't the type to seek out those types of things! If anyone is interested in making friends with a small, feminine, miqo'te nerd with a love for all things Thavnairian, my in-game name is L'ohba Tia. I'd also really appreciate any tips for getting more into the community with my type of character. Most groups I seem to come across are adventurers or mercenaries, or people in similar professions.
