I'm looking to transfer to the Japanese DC because trying to play on NA servers from Asia isnt too great ping wise. Was wondering if there were any communities in the Japanese DCs.

I dont believe there is anything different heavy RPers to casual(light) / Medium RPing aside from how committed you are to RPing. I like to define Heavy RP as that RPing is your main focus in the game. You join an RPing FC(or not, doesnt have to be), get super involved and immersed with your character and his/her story. Basically RPing is all you do on this game. If you do other things in the game, such as crafting, raiding and so on, you would fall into the Med/casual RPing. But this is just my opinion, since there is no real rule that determines whether a person is a heavy RPer or not. But just like Tyll'a posted, I'm also willing to help with any questions you might have.

Kinda of a long shot since I havent seen many / any RPers from Cactuar posting, but is RPing a thing in Cactuar? I'm considering of transferring because my static is there, and would greatly prefer if there are fellow RPers in the server.

Is it active? Can't compare it to Balmung, but it's slow been picking up. Quicksand used to be empty, but now a handful of RPers hang out in the area. I've connected with most of the people I RP with via sending them /tells or digging around the forum or the RPM (Mateus RPing Discord). It's okay to check the Quicksands once in a while, but I wouldn't recommend that to be your only source in trying to look for new people to connect with. Mateus only has started gaining a lot of population due to Balmung being locked down so it's hard to say whether it's going to be the another unofficial RPing server like Balmung or if it'll be in the same situation as Gilgamesh (assuming what you mentioned is true. I've never been on Gilgamesh so I cant verify if it is true or not), but as long as Balmung continues to be locked, I think Mateus has the potential to be the next unofficial RPing server. I am one of the many people who transferred to Mateus due to various reasons and I'm enjoying my stays here. Yes, there are some things that are better on Balmung (cheap market price to be one of them), but for me, the pros is far more greater than the cons. EDIT: This post does not exist! Hello, I've rerolled my character and only recently finalized my new character's story. A lot of my old contacts has quitted or not really go well with my new character, so I'm looking to forge new relationships for her! Kaila is the youngest child of 5 children between a Keeper father and a Seeker mother. Her entire family was murdered by one of her brother, Kaila barely escaping before her brother has gotten the chance to kill her too. Kaila was young and was not sure what to do, she did not know (and even till today, she doesn't) why her brother would do such a thing, but only one thing was certain to her, she had to run away, far from her brother's reach. She spent hours running away, only stopping to take short breaks to catch her breath before she departing once more. But there was so much distance the little one could run, and she was slowly getting hungry and exhausted. That's when she happened to catch a group of merchants walking along the road, the growling coming from her stomach just barely enough to push her to stick her hands in the cart, hoping for something that could ease her hunger. Unfortunately, one of the mercenaries who was suppose to guard the merchants caught her, soon on her knees as she begged for forgiveness. The merchant, however did not intend to let her go so easily, ordering the mercenaries to tie her hands and legs, throwing her in the cart eventually was sold to a slaver. She doesn't know who or what her owner did. All she knew was that her owner had a lot of enemies. She was trained to use a set of daggers, studying the vital points or a human body and striking it accurately. The orders she was given varied from time to time, but a lot of it consisted of sneaking in to someone's house and stealing a particular something, tracking down where something or someone was, and even quietly killing someone without leaving any trace. While carrying out her owner's task, Kaila seeked an opportunity to break free from her fate, when one day, she managed to approach her owner quietly, on her own. She swiftly struck a dagger into the man's throat, grabbing a few jewelry and disappeared. After a few years, Kaila began to show herself in the public, introducing herself as an information broker, and a ruin explorer. Using her experiences when she was a slave, she also secretly takes jobs assassinating people, and doing all sorts of dirty jobs for her clients who do not wish to dirty their hands. That's a short(?) background info about Kaila, and I've listed some potential hook ups if anyone was interested in approaching this Miqo'te. I'm looking for both friends that she can get along with, enemies that would try to stop Kaila from doing what she's doing, or perhaps something even more! 1. Maybe your character needs help locating someone or something. Kaila is an excellent tracker and also as an information broker, she should be able to use her network of informants to find whatever her client would need. 2. Maybe your character found a dungeon / ruins and need someone as both a guard and a scout? Kaila has been on a number of expedition, picking up a thing or two from the people who she was grouped up with. 3. Or you just need an antagonist in one of your personal / fc plots, someone who shows up and makes people's lives miserable. Kaila is and individualist first and last, willing to do anything if it were to benefit her in some way, even if it means harm to others. Hello, I was wondering if anyone would know if slaves are a thing in Eorzea. If they are, how are these slaves distinguished from normal people? Do they have a certain branding on somewhere on their bodies?

I know the "Queen's Gambit" is an fc of monster hunters. I was a member in the fc for a while and they were really fun to RP with. Try giving them a poke.

First of all, welcome to Balmung! I am a bit skeptical with RP LSs. I've been in multiple RP Linkshells, but I've never really benefited a lot from being in it. Don't get me wrong, I've found a few good connections once in a while, but it seemed like everyone is scared of taking the initiative and was waiting for someone else to be looking for people to RP with. It was okay at first, but later it got annoying for me. I eventually left all of the linkshells and just started camping around QS, approaching people that I found interesting. I don't know any LS on the top of my head, but I do see people looking for RP LSs on party finder so that might also be an option if you can't find any here!

I like the idea, but this is what worries me too. We have a pretty high character limit that you'll have to send multiple mails to make up for it. But nonetheless, I am so down for this!

Koharu might be a good fit for this. I wouldn't say she is loyal to the empire, but she is forced to be loyal to the empire. Her family are held hostage by the empire, and has also been forced to enlist in the Garlean military. Currently she is working as an information broker in Eorzea, but beneath her cover, she is a Garlean spy, gathering any useful information and reporting it back to the empire, hoping one day she would be able to free her family from the Empire's grasp. Bumping! How does the Garlean empire feel toward the Au Ra and Doma in general? I've been playing around with Koharu, being a female raen, was forced to be a member of the Garlean empire's army. Is this a possible scenario?

A question about Raens and Xaelas. Are the two race hostile to the other race? Or are they just two different race with different culture and lifestyle, and really have nothing toward the other race?

Well, Koharu doesnt go around actively telling people that she is a Garlean spy and will do whatever it takes to protect her identity. And only a handful of people knows her identity, so you wouldnt have to worry about that

Hahaha, I'm still working on her wiki, but Koharu's home was also burnt down and she was forced to become a member of the Garlean Empire. And yes, Koharu is trying her best to keep that information to herself, but I doubt it'll go hidden for every long

I didn't expect to see another information broker Koharu is a Garlean spy, working as an information broker in Eorzea. She is in-charge of gathering intels for her century, so she is constantly traveling to places to obtain new information.

Koharu is a Garlean spy who has also been forced to join to work for the Garlean Empire because her family has been taken as prisoner. After years of training, she has been ordered to infiltrate Eorzea to prepare for next invasion, gathering intel and reporting it back to the empire. Over the years, she has been working for different Centurion, blending in as she continues to struggle to keep her family safe and alive. I would love to have Koharu RP as one of Sillice's Garlean connection! We can talk about it more via pm or ingame(Koharu Iyashi).

Does anyone know any good resources / videos / articles that talks about voidsents in depth? I spent a good 15 minutes googling, but havent found anything that talked more than they are creatures too unnatural to be in the world.

Sorry for not being clear. I meant it as a way for people using charka to cast whm / blm class magicks. On the side note, thank you everyone comment everyone. It seem logical for a person to use charka to cast magick but I wasnt sure if it was lore breaking or considered as OP (which is a big no no)!

I've been playing around with my character and I've stumbled across this post in the forum. Here Kieron Lohengrin states: "...chakra" is simply a term for aether absorbed into the body from energy-heavy environments such as ancient battlefields, a capability unique to monks alone. (I have not played the MNK story line yet, but I am assuming this is true since it has been posted, but not pointer out for being incorrect.) So, if this is true, Chakra is just another form of aether, likely more condensed so monks can use it enhance their attacks. Then do you think it would be possible to for someone who is capable of using these chakra, also use magick?
