  1. Feel free to add me as well! Always looking for more Seekers to hang out with! :moogle:
  2. Count me in! I'd like to join the theatre group for M'risha's debut on-stage!
  3. I absolutely love this, can't wait to see my Miqo'te in her Guardian Corps outfit! If anything, I hope they also add some stuff from past FF's, like Vivi's outfit for Black Mages, and Tifa's for Monk etc.
  4. I am now mentoring JJDunn and Xeon, though I think it will be more of a mutual mentoring thing..
  5. I. Basic Info Characters: M'risha Primary character:M'risha (Last name still in the works) Linkshells:None, looking for one, thinking of joining the Blue Skies Adventuring Company or the Cute Things Protection Agency! Primary RP linkshell: ..Not sure.. [*] II. RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): Medium/Heavy. Sometimes I'm more into the game, sometimes I'm more into RP.. I'm actually always into RP. All things in /s shall be In Character, and OOC shall happen in whispers. IC erryday! Heavy should not equal serious, and my RP always needs to have some humour included. Views on RP combat and injuries: With clear rules, characters who are not too overpowered and being able to discuss like rational human beings what should happen next; Yes. If it's a lolfest with characters who never give up because they can't see their character losing; No. I'm fine with injuries and other things, as long as the purpose isn't too obviously mangle someone's character on purpose with nothing of it adding to the story of their lives. Views on IC romance: Romance is fun and nice to RP! It just shouldn't become borderline obsessive OOC. The characters are supposed to be in love, not the two people behind the screen. Sure, if a real romance blossoms, that's fine, but IC romance is exactly what it is; IC. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): Family tends to add a lot to a character in my experience, and having your character have a PC parent or brother often leads to interesting dynamics. Friends are also important to a character, since if there's no one around to RP with, it doesn't work! Views on lore: Very Final Fantasy, vibrant world and characters. It shouldn't get boring anytime soon. Since I'm new to it all, I kinda skimmed over it, but I will be sure to read it thoroughly before the game actually launches! Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): It's.. kinda confusing.. Grand Company, Free Company, Guilds, Linkshell? Help! ..I managed to figure it out by now, but I did have to do some searching to find out what's what. I am not yet sure whether there will be a /me or /e channel for emotes, because using * or < in /s is just awkward. [*] III. Other Info Country: Netherlands Timezone: GMT+1 Contact info: Skype: timoyaki Steam: 虹猫
  6. Isn't it obvious? Someone who studies the nyan! Lived in Okinawa -and- gives chocolate? You are all kinds of awesome :surprise: Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone! :bomb:
  7. Wow, there are so many artists on this forum. I can't even dream of matching any of you. I don't go much further than stick figures.. Sadly, the only screenshot I have of her is my forum avatar Name: M'risha Helios (Em-Rih-Sha-) Race: Seeker of the Sun Miqo'te Profession: Messenger, delivery girl, oddjob. In-game classes: Pugilist/Monk Height: Short, short! 4'8! Body: Small yet athletic, obviously more geared towards speed than strength. She is also completely flat-chested, and will retaliate violently when anyone calls her out on it. She does have a very long tail to make up for this, though! Hair: Her hair is a rose-blonde, wild and unkempt and often sticking in all directions. It is long enough that she often needs to blow it out of her face. This seems to annoy her, yet she makes no attempt to visit a hairdresser. Eyes: Her eyes are often squinted to cat-like slits, but in the moments that she opens them, they are a radiant teal, eagerly taking in their surroundings. Skin: Since she is mainly based around Ul'dah and the surrounding desert, she is quite tanned. Clothing style: Though she can appreciate a pretty dress, she prefers functionality over looks. More than often, she can be seen in wide, light clothing for easy movement and maneouvering to help her run and jump, since she prefers using Ul'dah's roofs for shortcuts to deliver her goods. She also often carries a delivery bag at her side. Personality: Innately curious, M'risha approaches things with almost child-like interest. If you were to look in an Eorzean dictionary, you could probably find her name under 'Impulsive'. Thinking before she speaks, boundlessly cheerful and wastefully energetic, she cannot help but bring smiles to the ones using services. The only thing she loves more than running and bouncing around is eating, and she seems to be perpetually hungry, with an extreme liking towards spicy food which normal people probably couldn't even think of swallowing. She soon hopes to find someone who could teach her the finer points of being a lady, hoping to someday impress her tribe's Nunh. Things she's good at: -Climbing and running -Sparring at the pugilist's guild -Fishing -Napping in the sun Things she's bad at: -Cooking -Dancing and performing -Being sad -Getting to sleep at correct times -Reading
  8. This is a great idea. I can't wait!
  9. Miqo'te take the lead! I for one welcome our new feline overlords. *Catnip shower*
  10. Oppressed? Maybe I chose to play on hard mode! Check your privilege!
  11. M'risha would call herself a performer and loves to stand in the spotlight, but she's actually terrible at everything she does, be it singing, dancing or playing instruments. She only has her enthousiasm to make up for it, which makes it watcheable.. -somewhat- Count me in! :moogle:
  12. I'm also interested in becoming a mentor. While I do not know much about the Final Fantasy world yet, my experiences include: -..RPing -Leading an RP guild -Hosting RP events -Storytelling (Coming up with custom RP quests for people to enjoy with me as the 'dungeon-master', so to speak) -Combat Roleplay (Both 'kindness-based' and rollbased ) I've RPed in WoW, TERA, Guild Wars 1 and 2, Warcraft 3, Age of Wushu, roleplayerguild.com, and uh.. last weekend in XIV! I'm in the GMT+1 Timezone, Europe! Since I'm probably going to be studying hard when the game comes out (Yeah right, hardly studying, have FF to play!), people in that timezone would be preferred, but I have no trouble mentoring people who don't match that, they'll just get a little less time! I will be :cactuar: on Balmung My character will be able to get along with everyone, and I'm sure we'll be able to get along OOC as well. That being said, I will try to teach as much as possible by doing, aka RPing lots and lots, and you'll get good at it eventually!
  13. Heya! I'm the unpronounceable M'risha, and I'm here to roleplay with each and every one of you! :cactuar: --MMORPG background I started my amazing yet life-wracking career with Ragnarok Online, before I even know roleplaying existed. From that, I went to WoW, and that's where my MMO-craze really began. I went from WoW to Guild Wars, from Guild Wars back to Ragnarok, from Ragnarok to almost every F2P and P2W MMO available. I played The Secret World for about 10 minutes, and have now set my sights on Final Fantasy XIV! ..That being said.. I have absolutely no Final Fantasy knowledge, though I do know what a Cactuar and a Tonberry is, woop! (Awkward confession: .. I thought a Cactuar came from Digimon..) --RP experience My first ever roleplay thing ever was on a Custom Game in Warcraft 3 in a series of maps called 'DoBRP'. I have never figured out what it stood for, but it was lots of fun, and I spent hours on hours in those maps. My roleplaying then extended itself to WoW, where I settled on the Argent Dawn EU server, rping a Gnome warrior because.. why not? Back then, RP was kinda an innocent thing for me, just kinda living out your character, right? ..Then I wandered into Goldshire.. and ran for my virtual life. Sufficed to say, now I know why MMO's don't have their online interactions rated by the ESRB. Moving on, I roleplayed for a while on roleplayerguild.com, where some great forum-based roleplay can often be found. I also did some roleplay in TERA, GW2 and even Age of Wushu, back when 90% of the population wasn't a goldseller. --Character ideas/info I will most likely be playing a Miqo'te Seeker of the Sun. I know! So standard! I love cats, I love girls, so why wouldn't I play a catgirl, right? I'm still in doubt, however. Those Lalafell are also so cute, and a tiny lalafell tanking a huge dragon thingamajig? Too awesome! Oh, right, I forgot to mention that. I almost always play tanks. Standing there at the front lines and somewhat being the unofficial group leader rocks, and I want to be the first one to charge in. I will most likely main a pugilist/monk this time around. Something about being able to punch down huge baddies with just your hands/feet and inner strength screams cool to me. As for IC personality, my characters are often energetic, impulsive and playful, with boundless optimism, perseverance and self-confidence. M'risha will most likely be like that as well. --How did you learn about the coalition? I actually didn't know it existed until Beta 3. I saw some people roleplaying in this port area Marauders start out in, and then went to google to see if people were starting roleplaying guilds. I was pleasantly surprised, there's a whole community out there! I signed myself up with the speed of light and here I am!~ --What kind of a role-player are you aiming to be? Light, medium, or heavy? I would classify myself as medium, but probably weighing towards heavy. Often I drop grinding and questing to roleplay and hang out with people, but I also tend to have my serious moods. I am a real casual player these days though, and leading progressive raiding guilds and even doing progressive raiding is a thing in the past for me. Oh.. right, this was about RP If you find my character in-game and talk to her in /s, you will always get an IC response.. so.. medium! --Anything from real life you're comfortable with sharing? (Work, school, hobbies, etc) I study Japanese language/history/anthropology/art/geography, everything Japanese at a nearby university. It's a full-on weeabo course, which is just right for me. Ask me anything about animé/manga, and I will probably be able to answer it. No, I do not have a hug-pillow or an entire house-full of figurines, though the otaku is strong in me. I am also semi-fluent in the language, so I was actually considering going for a Japanese server.. but.. It doesn't look like them asians will be RPing anytime soon.. Balmung here I come. Err.. what else.. I go to the gym 4 times per week and watch everything I eat and have been doing that for about 8 months now. Guess what, hard work -does- pay off!; I lost 45 pounds! :moogle: The only contact I've ever had with Final Fantasy is Kingdom Hearts and the admittedly craptacular movie Spirits Within. I am also playing the other Final Fantasy games now though! I just finished XIII and XIII-2 (Chinese version, it has Jap voices and English subtitles. Sense.jpg), and am about halfway through 7. Got this far? Great. Pleasure to meet you all, I hope to RP lots and lots :moogle:
  14. I would play with my ears and tail for a few hours before becoming a cook and gorging myself on delishus Eorzea foods, since FF characters never get fat, ever! #thuglife
