    Oh Nau!

Thank you very much. Have another thing:
  2. UK customs charges caused SE to ignore the concept of currency conversions? o.0 That doesn't really follow. Having had to price things for sale internationally in the past, it's pretty standard to input a USD price, a euro price, a pound price... wherever you intend to sell it. Disturbing to me that SE feels they can just ignore that.

    Oh Nau!

To make up for the last post, have a K'piru:
  4. I would really caution against using game mechanics from 1.0 as a lore base. It's far more likely that SE expects us to just retcon in our minds what conjurers and thaumaturges have been and are capable of doing.
  5. "Sorry, kiddo," Thal muttered. "I'm gonna get you outta here. Don't worry about that." He ran as fast as his undead legs could carry them, leaving K'ile, the burning roegadyn, and the old man behind.
  6. Thal didn't bother questioning. He wasted only a moment to stare in frustration at K'ile on the ground before twisting towards D'aijeen and starting to run. He scooped her up on the way.
  7. Thal's head snapped back from the force of the blow, and he swung out with his own fist in retaliation.
  8. Thal's head lifted suddenly, and he blinked at the ribbon-bound blade before blue eyes widened in realization. "Hey... hey, old man!" He grunted and twisted, trying to break free from K'ile. "You got the best timing!"
  9. Thal felt a tingling pressure on his back and lurched away. K'ile still gripped him despite being pinned however, and any further action he may have taken was shocked out of him, however, at Ulanan's display. "I wouldn't mind your help!" He called out.
  10. "Just accept that we aren't here to hurt you!" Thal shouted. "Listen to your bloody friend!"
  11. Thal grabbed at K'ile's shoulders and tried to lurch to one side, as he'd done before, to either throat K'ile off or roll to get on top of him.
  12. "Not looking for excuses," Thal snapped. "Just some gods damned underst--" Thal grunted as a sudden K'ile explosion slammed into him. He pushed D'aijeen away with hard but necessary force as he dropped back to the ground. His legs kicked up, knees trying to find K'ile's soft belly.
  13. Thal straightened some, reaching behind him with one hand to rest it on D'aijeen. For the first time, he felt an instinct much stronger than his prior urges to protect her, and he broadened his stance so that he was a physical wall between K'ile and the girl. "She's just a kid. I don't care if you think she's some abomination. Maybe she is, maybe I am, but she's also a kid. You don't treat kids like this."
  14. K'ile's attack jarred Thal to one side, but he tried to take advantage of it, swinging himself even harder to the side than the Tia's blow would have caused. As he did this, he tightened his grip on K'ile and jerked him around with the roll before hurling him over and away, bolstering this action with a solid kick with both feet.
  15. Thal made sure to stay on top of K'ile as they fell and drove his elbow against the Tia's sternum.
  16. Thal met K'ile's gesture head-on, colliding with the man with what he intended to be enough force to tear him away from D'aijeen.
  17. "Don't talk, Lalafel. It's not that fast." K'ile tightened his grip on K'aijeen and another pulse of heat radiated out from his body. K'aijeen screamed and writhed, the sand under them glistening and giving way as it melted. K'ile turned his gaze away from the Lalafel to Thal, eyes narrowing at the man. "This is the best for everyone." Thal could feel the flesh on the bottoms of his feet peel away when the sand became suddenly superheated beneath him. It was an unpleasant sensation, though not painful, but he grimaced at it anyway as he forced himself to run ahead of the heat. "The best for you," he barked out and jumped for K'ile.
  18. Kicking to his feet, Thal glanced towards Cypress, noting her confusion, but then also noticed K'ile was not where he had been. Blue eyes darting around until they found the Tia, the man started and bolted forward with a shout, "HEY! Get back from her!"
  19. The rock collided with Thal's back, which knocked him out of the way of the bulk of Cypress's back but also dropped him hard to the ground. The miqo'te grunted and rolled across the dirt before collecting himself to try and knock the rock away.
  20. Thal jumped back from Cypress and landed in a crouch on the ground, ears pressed back against his head and tail lashing. This only lasted a moment however, and he used his landing as fuel for another lunge forward, this time with another punch aimed for the roegadyn's head.
  21. Heedless of whatever burning magic Cypress employed - not feeling it as anything more than a tingle at the edge of his senses - Thal grabbed onto the roegadyn's shoulders and pulled his knees up before snapping his feet against the woman's stomach.
  22. Ignoring the roegadyn's grasping for the moment, Thal took her bowed stature as an opportunity drive the fist of his free arm up into her jaw. He would follow this immediately by a similar blow if he could manage it to her ribs with his other arm.
  23. He had to trust that the kid had run far enough that she wasn't in the line of fire. The tension in Thal's muscles released with a snap of limbs as he dove at an angle towards Cypress, under and around the blast of fire. A tingling singed across the tops of his ears but he didn't let that concern him, instead keeping up his momentum to plow directly into the roegadyn with his much smaller but tightly muscled form. He sought to knock her over, bring her down to a more manageable level.
  24. "Really?? Some supposed-brother you are," Thal groaned and the groan turned into a growl. "Augh you know what, fine! Give it your best shot." He pushed D'aijeen behind him and crouched very suddenly. "But you're gonna have to go through me before you can even think about getting the kid."
