Linkshells are sort of like private chat channels with a group of people; you can have up to eight of them. In 1.0 they were supposed to be a type of guild system, and now they sort of are a lesser form of such. Free Companies are more similar to guilds of other MMOs; you can only have one, private chat channel, and have rewards/achievements if I'm not mistaken. and someone has to give you a pearl first? thanks for the info.

I thought it was a really good read and I can tell you put thought into it. My question would be what type of person is he. I can't really reply on the lore part since I'm new to the game, but not to Final Fantasy.

That is a very good initial start Rock, I might also suggest maybe an IC Linkshell for RP when not around physically. It can help for those that want a little rp fix while leveling. I think both ideas are good ones. Never a bad thing to have more options. As for names hmm. The break room? Lol

I believe Rocks post was mostly directed to some of the posters from the Balmung or Gilgamesh thread. I read no Ill will from Eva when she replied to me and understood what she was.saying and thanked her for her clearing that up for me.

Sounds great to me. As someone new to this RPing thing, I think this would help my kind (lol) to make that big step and help us get to know all the other RPs on the server. I'd be more then willing to help to set up this event.

Oh, the handbook is meant to be more of a guideline than any sort of rigid rule. You could make a post with your ideas/plans in the RP Discussion area to solicit feedback. With so many different RPers with so many different backgrounds, it is likely that there will be some folks or a group that will have similar ideals. Then again, it also looks like Gilgamesh will have a smaller pool of RPers overall, so I may be mistaken. But I would certainly take your ideas to the discussion board if you have any concerns about how they may be received. Thank you for clearing that up. I'll need to sit down and write out how Mr heat will be in game so people will know what he's about in final fantasy and the only thing that's being brought over is just his background.

I'll be rolling on this server. I may be shunned though. Just got done reading the hand book and it would seem Mr. Heats back ground is a no no.
