With the news of Wednesday (Japan Time) maintenance I am very excited for things to come. Fingers crossed tightly for zero or no errors. I will be posting up a new story in regards to the Bordello. I would like to remind everyone interested that you should PM me with you character name (in game name) and their talent or the position they wish to apply for. Ambrosia still needs wait staff (waitresses, bartenders) as well as performers since it will be based heavily on performance arts. Hm. While my LS isn't specifically one or the other I would interested to see if anyone actually has started an all Seeker or Keeper bordello/harem/brothel. Whatever the kids are calling it these days. ( I welcome all races in Ambrosia!)

I believe, and correct me if I am wrong, but the reason this discussion seems so race based is because of what has been presented to us. The lore states that the Miqo'te maintain an insular group mentality. With that in mind it seems a large number of players wish to discuss the cultural aspect of Miqo'te society. What with them being a tribal people in origin and all I think this thread is just a discussion. (As it is located in that section of the forums after all ) I am still currently reading through the myriad of pages here (currently on page 5). Guess I will drop in my two gil once I'm all caught up. Seeing as my linkshell and roleplay will be exploring the non-tribal side of things with my Miqo fem. Heh page 5 is entertaining though. Will be back with something that contributes to the discussion, promise!

Are we still discussing people staying logged in and preventing others from getting on due to the high number of "concurrent connections"?

Fair enough, just wanted to be sure I understood it correctly. So I am not relaying misinformation to people who don't follow the forums.

So I suppose I may need a bit if clarification on this is anyone is willing to bare with me. Every time I see that my brain thinks that they will be increasing server capacity. But somehow I think that is only wishful thinking on my part since none of my friends(or boyfriend) can make new characters now. Am I reading too far into that whole, "...increase the capacity of both the Japanese and North American/European datacenters..." bit?

Oh well thats great! I can log in fine as well but only right now (non-peak hours) Still waiting for them to remove the character restrictions for new characters so my boyfriend can make his guy.

I've been stalking their twitter religiously to keep up with updates. The good news it today alone there have been at least 3 updates, with less servers restricted. Right now we are at 14 server with new character restrictions. Down from 22 earlier today. Just hope they keep it up. *crosses fingers*

Yay interest! I am still looking for entertainers for the Bordello certainly. What sort of talent does your character have? And as for you Daisy I still need wait staff. So waitress, bartender etc

Are you also fine with agreeing not to openly try to recruit people away from Gilgamesh and Balmung who might be willing to wait and/or transfer later? I doubt that.. You are literally saying here that you don't want people who can't currently get on to Gilgamesh to be able to play at all. Does that not strike you as a little selfish? Hell no, I want them to come to Balmung. I've always been for uniting the community. A third server is an absolutely terrible idea, unless it's temporary, and from the sounds of things, you don't want it to be temporary. I am currently locked out of the game as well. Within a week, you guys could all be on one of the already chosen RP servers. Instead, you are being impatient. Why? Because you can't level? Because you're "falling behind"? It's not a race, and we're ALL experiencing server problems right now. This is just asinine. I chuckled at this...sorry. My head is odd.

...and that is why I suggested Behemoth, there are roleplayers there. I can log into Gilgamesh just fine but my friends can not. I moved to this game to play with my friends. And now the fact remains that they will not be increasing the server limit any time soon. There was a post from Yoshi P stating as much. (I will have to find it) Because that post was my main reason for even considering moving. And to all the people who saying wait, well obviously you don't realize that there are people who have been waiting since last weekend. And still can't get onto the servers they wish to move to. While I hear what is being said about patience I also understand the frustration of staring at the refresh button for 3 hours plus and getting no where.

If push comes to shove I am probably moving to Behemoth with a group of friends. (who still despite their best efforts could not get on during phase 4 or now during early access] Pretty sure this was already put to a vote. The sad reality is the community is being split involuntarily and instead of bicker about it we need to act quickly before the other servers fill and we are left out in the cold...again. Now then to those who are homeless (serverless) what say you to Behemoth where there is already a small group formed?

With the server issues and what not, there is a possibility Ambrosia may end up being moved to Balmung. Nothing is set in stone just yet, I will have a solid yes or no by the end of release day on August 27th.

Thanks! Ambrosia won't have a site just yet, the creation of such would depend greatly on my course load at school as this is not meant to be a guild. As of the last beta I created the actual LS in game. If you have any particular questions feel free to pm me or ask them here.

You may know Y'Vali from: ~Ambrosia, a Bordello in Limsa Lominsa where Y'Vali works as a member of the wait staff and performer. ~The Bismark, she works as a waitress there during the day when the Bordello is closed.

My fae, once I get her will play a very important role in my Miqo's story. Almost like a childhood friend.
