It seems as though you want the fighting to cease. Well, I can tell you that no matter how large the lettering you use, this comes across as very hostile in my honest opinion. And yes opinions are like...well Im sure you know the rest. When you type something in all caps it usually means that you are yelling at your audience. Just before the whole "4 chan is coming to Gilgamesh" bit, previous statements about how populated the Gilgamesh server would be may have been valid. But due to the rumors and speculation I suspect we will have a much smaller band of roleplayers on the server now. Now if the rumors are true then I say the question to ask yourself would be, "Will I allow it to bother me and ruin my good fun?" I believe that no matter your answer the sad fact of the matter is that trolls exist everywhere. And whether it be the 4chan community or another group, it is bound to and will happen on any server. Those that I have met here that are choosing to make Gilgamesh their home will simply have zero tolerance for the trolls. I think that if everyone that goes to that server takes up such a policy it will send a clear message. And while it wont rid the community of them it will definitely make it a little more difficult for them day to day. Valid points were definitely made here, thats for sure. I find myself in agreement with others about trying out the different servers for yourself. Because at the end of the day, it ultimately depends on where you and your friends feel comfortable. ~Ciao

And who is to say that the reddit community wont make alts on Balmung? Just a thought. I for one am sticking with the Gilgamesh community, there is a strong RP community forming there and I very much want to help it strive and grow even more.

Ami- Maybe Y'Vali could meet Ami at some point. Based on interest Im not sure right now if the Linkshell will be readily available at launch but if I get more interest then I may make it happen.

From what I have gathered of Arcanist, it seems to be some sort of support healer? Does anyone know if it will be a viable option for a healing class, or is White Mage the end all be all as far as healing goes?

Vash- I am really surprised you aren't very familiar with the whole CAPA thing, given what I know of you, granted it has been called a lot of different things. The term CAPA is only the one that stuck with me the most. The basic idea is laid out here in the Balmung Linkshell Idea thread for Soliloquy <---click me! I would love to see something that bares a very close resemblance to what the Balmung group is going for. Because we are cool too and I really hope to see this server thrive.

Basically Im hoping to get some people involved, I am NOT trying to run this seeing as Y'Vali has her own business to run. Instead I'd hoped to have multiple people step forward as possible leaders. It would likely only need one and could be NPC'd if no one comes forward. The idea would also be that at some point, daily shows would be put on. At First Glance: Y'Vali may appear to be at times lost within a world no one else can see. She is very short and curvy, some have even described her as having a womanly figure. She can most often be seen wearing either robes or her signature long skirt with trinkets to line her waist. Paired with a shirt that exposes her toned torso. She has a dancer's build and moves in such a way that is it evident. Though she is not without her imperfections. A scar beneath her left eye paints her cheek and there is an additional set of scar near her navel. Tribal markings of the clan she once belonged to can be seen on each side. I. RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): Heavy Views on RP combat and injuries: I am not opposed to the idea of RP combat so long as it is worked out via a roll based system, I don't just duel to see who wins. As far as injuries are concerned I'm certainly okay with these, seeing as Y'Vali already has a few painted on her features already. Views on IC romance: IC romance is off limits. Flirting and the like is to be expected but nothing past that. Y'Vali is happily taken. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): Although I wouldn't mind the idea and seeing as the Miqo are a race with it's roots typically heavily invested in a clan of sorts. I would say that this would be a case by case basis. Views on lore: I'm a bit of a lore addict and I very much immerse myself in the given information about the world as well as the races I play and encounter. While I have no issues with others choosing to add a bit of flare to the character I typically tend to at least try and follow the lore to best of my ability. So for those of you who may not know, there is a pretty interesting Linkshell idea that surfaced a little bit ago geared towards those who had characters in the Creative And Performing Arts. (Or CAPA) After following the thread carefully an actually paying attention on my second read through I realized that it was for Balmung and not for our up and coming secondary rp server of Gilgamesh. Therefore I propose we do the same! I mean why not, I have a character that is a dancer and she loves to entertain for those willing to pay of course. Nothing in this life is free! Now then I was simply curious if anyone who has decided to make Gilgamesh their home, would be interested in such an idea. As I believe it would require a great deal of community involvement to make it work. Also be sure to, if you have a performer, post that characters name and what it is that they do. I would love see what others have come up with.

I am definitely looking forward to this as well I will try and tell my guildies about it.

So just to be sure I've got this right, Keepers are the more Matriarchal society. While Seekers are the ones with the Nuah(sp?) and Tia traditions. Please correct me if Im wrong. Just trying to get this all clear in my mind.

If you were a chloromancer/mystic lover, then you'd probably be interested in going the arcanist > scholar route. I think summoner is meant to be more DPS-y, while scholar is more support-y. I'm still a little unclear as to how the class system is set up. You chose a class at start then you can have an alternate class or is it more point based and more along the lines of specs much like RIFT?

So will Arcanist be a support healing class or a viable option for a healer? I've been playing conjurerer and Im not too impressed honestly. I typically chose support healers and make the best of them. For example I chose to roll Archon and Chloromage for most instances in RIFT. The a mystic in tera. So Im just trying to understand the "role" of the Arcanist based on the info we have now.

Yi'Vali is a dancer of sorts, what she does can closely be called belly dancing if a name must be given to it. She calls it fusion dancing, she used to perform for her clan during important gatherings. When she was apart of a clan... But I digress, I would love to be apart of this. The chance to make money is always appealing to Yi'Vali.
