Well as usual, I was the best part of this party. Unfortunately I had a d/c later on and had to be somewhere, so I didn't log back in. Highlights of the festivities: 1.) Sin Darius doing summersaults to the lottery bag. 2.) Sin Darius getting drunk. 3.) Sin Darius getting a line dance going. Twice. 4.) Sin Darius getting the Feats of Strength going. 5.) Sin Darius creating crazy new names for contest winners. 6.) Sin Darius. 7.) I guess Oria helped.

I've said plenty that my story has Vana'diel and Eorzea bridging each other. I like it like that.

Had to be pulling your leg. Moving from FFXI to FFXIV would mean a total swap of graphics, facial characteristics, armor equipment (Musketeer armor in FFXIV?), etc etc.

These changes help salvage it for the community existent but is it enough to redeem lost players?

Well. That's not really the point. If I'm a customer, and I look at FFXIV, and then look at its competition, what should compel me to pick up FFXIV - right now - as opposed to the many other selections on the market? What does it offer that's so greatly superior to its competition, that a person should choose it?

Now despite being the first to criticize FFXIV (and I am :mrgreen: ) I'm sticking with it, I've got the friends, plus I don't have time to play other games really. But if there's one reason to be encouraged, it's because Square is feeling the impact of their lackluster products where it counts to them: In their pocketbooks. They're reporting a drop of 12 billion yen in profit this time over last year. If that doesn't make a company hike up its pants, I don't know what will.

Well there are so many great MMOs. Why should people wait for FFXIV to become one? I've said plenty of times I can stick with it because it's about the only game I play and I have a good social network. But for those wanting to invest a lot of hours into something, or those whose time is split between multiple games, it's not hard to see why people aren't flocking FFXIV.

I think this is another game mechanic they have to reassess when they're patching.

* How big are they? Me pearl is as big as the size of my palm. * Do they transmit both sound and visual? My pearl transmits both audio and visual. * Are they actually "pearls" or some other type of object? It's more akin to an orb, almost like a crystal ball but smaller. My orb is affixes into the top of my hand via a glove. I can look down into it and communicate visually via it to others. However, I don't have to be staring into the orb. The audio can still be communicated to my ear without me having to look into the pearl.
