Eras ago, a powerful aetherial weapon was shattered into countless pieces by a band of heroes. To prevent it from ever being remade and wielded, a spell was cast over the shards of the weapon; each would travel through the aether to find sanctuary within the body of a soul who would act as its host and guardian until their dying day. Those who bear a shard develop a distinctive runic mark on their skin, and as such have come to be known in certain esoteric circles as the Branded. These marks forge a unique connection between the Branded, gifting them with the ability to ‘see’ each other over vast distances, and share thoughts and experiences over their telepathic Link. The existence of the Branded is not a complete secret, however. There are many who would seek to collect the shards and take their power for their own. Tolkien House of Oschon was founded with the intent of giving players a Free Company and housing. From personal experience, we know it can be hard to find a Company that fits your character. Named for the patron god of wanderers and vagrants, House of Oschon is there for wanderers who need a place to call home. Located in the Mist residential district, House of Oschon is a communal home where everyone resides in-character as tenants. While we encourage camaraderie and roleplay, you are free to roleplay as much or as little as you’d like with other members. We plan to host roleplay events for the public, but have no plans for Company-specific plots or story arcs. If you’re looking to meet people to develop your character, we regularly keep track of events and organizations in the community. We pride ourselves in keeping track of what’s going on on Balmung, and would like to keep our members in the know. On top of roleplay, we would also like to welcome members who would like to run game content. Roulettes, glamour farming, exploration, whatever! While we’re not hardcore and have no PvE progression goals, we hope to build our numbers for regular assistance with gameplay and good times doing so. Our goal is to provide a free company where players can make friends, both in-character and out-of-character, without imposing any company themes. Seasonal Events. Every 3 months, AV-RP will host a “Seasonal Event”. These are two to three week long plot events that use a roll system. There may be combat, investigations, or branching paths that will develop a story depending on the actions of the characters involved. Weekly Social RP Events.Every week there will be a new RP scenario to participate in. From tavern talks, mini-plots, investigations, to combat, you never know what you’re going to get during our weekly gatherings. A Skype group. Throughout the day, you can contact anyone in our public Skype group, chat, confer about RP, and more! Art. AV-RP encourages our members to partake in visual art, even if you don’t think you’re good at it.
