  Honestly, I'm not sure I'm still learning the ropes so I'm kind of just doing the basics of just meeting and talking with people right now, as I am still trying to do the story to get to Heavens ward haha.

  I think it would be fun! This may sound..OOC but I'd prefer if I'm going to do that, that the player is a female. It would just feel more natural for me but again I'm new to all of this so I don't want to sound too "picky"

I'm sorry, I'm sure this isn't much to go off of, but I have to start somewhere and it looked like this site would be a good place to get the ball rolling! Thanks you guys! It's a little intimidating getting into Role playing for the sole reason of so many people already having groups to RP with plus I am brand new to the server from a very non social server lol. Any tips from you professionals?

Welcome! I think I saw you around Limsa recently!

 

Lots of people have groups, but I think a good amount of people are open to newcomers and adding to their social networks. I would advise checking out events that interest you, and even some events that may be a little out of your comfort zone. It's a good chance to see some people in action and get a feel for what you might like.

 

Besides that, people often have details in their Search Info in-game, so that's a good chance to see who you can approach and who might be open.
