I thought it was a lot of fun to find all those old memories and was pleasantly surprised to be hit with such a huge amount of nostalgia. It was awesome to see how much my character, and all my friends had grown over the years. Figured it might be fun to carry that over here to the forums and to see what everyone else has to share. I have some 4000 screenshots taken, but I figure I'll throw down a few of the more nteresting moments in my XIV career. I encourage everyone else to do the same! 2010 I remember this was day one of the Collector's Edition headstart. First screenshot I took of the live game. Some RP a few weeks after launch. Hanging out with the mog house. Starlight celebration! And finally endgame(ish) content! Always the ladies man. 2011 An Outer Heaven RP event. Sera and Castiel made a friend. One of my favorite 1.0 screenshots. Our first real dungeon, the Dzemael Darkhold. (Some of you might recognize the first screenshot ) And the Garlean Empire's first assaults on Eorzea. First time I mounted my Chocobo! Halloween and ifrit shenanigans~ Trifecta of manliness. 2012 Jobs! And Garuda~ Mind-numbing hamlet. The start of our relic weapons! And after we finished the bulk of the relic quest chain~ The beginning of the end. Most are from beta events and the like. But still, I'll share a few humorous or interesting ones that I particularly like. Onion hats....Onion hats everywhere! These are just some of the ones I like. 2010/1570 Open-beta, on my shoddy laptop, the days back when I had one "i" in Aysun's surname. FFXIV became my new MMOhome at this point despite all the problems. Around launch time. I was in love with Ul'dah. No LS in those days, just a couple of RP pearls that fell apart before even really getting started. And then I met these guys. Sanctus Refero. This was the night I met them and was recruited. First Starlight celebration in Eorzea! Getting the Santa suit was such an ordeal back then! 2011/1571 I started getting out more. Though I didn't level CNJ again after this for nearly a year. o_o Corbin (aka Aoixin) was being inappropriate with Sterne. My first time to Ishgard (and it was IC, too!). Sanctus Refero after an official induction ceremony for new members (mine included!). First annual Mavanix fashion show I got suckered into ICly. Sanctus hosted a ball of some sort (Alona had silly uniforms for the hired help as you can see from mine and a few other Miqo'tes attire). I left names on because I was overwhelmed by the amount of people who came. I miss these days! First NM hunt. I became the ritual sacrifice for Dodore because I was under-leveled. x3 IC moment in La Noscea. Sterne was so surprised that little Weaver-Aysun was an Archer. Another fun NM hunt. And I wasn't dead this time. Sanctus repearling event. The beginning of the end. Who remember meeting this guy in person, rather than as an NPC? /raises hand Nothing needs to be said on this one.. My (and Aysun's!) favorite cliff overlooking Ul'dah. I swear that little moon looks bigger! Doesn't it? No? ...Yes it does! You're crazy! Friendly doe. My first chocobo ride. Rent-a-bo. Fun in the mines. I just like this shot. With Nebulous! In Toto-rak, a place we spent a lot of time IC and OOC.. My super secret CNJ-leveling days.. and a growing problem in the background! No denying it now! Mom and Dad- I mean, Sasha and Navei. These two taught me the ways of the CNJ.. of course, they were also pro THMs. 2012/1572 I learned me some Ifrit. Memorial service for Corbin/Aoixin/Kayleen, who passed away on December 24, 2011. Adventuring with Blue Skies. Another pretty adventuring pic! This looks romantic, but it wasn't. Aysun with one of her favorite people, Galvadan. That problem just keeps getting worse. Suddenly, jobs! Fun endgame stuff with.. this shell changed names too often. Bard badassery with some moogles. Exploring Mor Dhona again. That time I broke Gridania.. Dalamud is confused. That's the sun, stupid dog. I think this was my first Garuda (hard) win. We found a body here ICly, but OOCly, what the hell was the little settlement? Sylph village? Can't remember. Probably my favorite fight in all of 1.0. I don't know why. Exploring the Shroud with Selene, trying not to piss off the drakes. Everwatch gathering. The doe did not shit on Turk ICly, unfortunately. It would have been hilarious. Status update with Dalamud. Mor Dhona: Worth the trip. Dance time at the Cieldalaes! Auroras in Thanalan. The new assault tactic at Castrum Novum. Praying at the Anchor Yard. Ishgard auroras. Shit's getting real! Hat hunting with Omni. Eva's prayer at the Gala. Praying to Nald'thal (post-final save). Visiting the stones. Oschon is Aysun's guardian. A bow I hope to one day have legitimately~! And he used the mercs as pawns in his revenge against House Mavanix... His mech tries to kill them all but he loses the fight and dies in the ensuing explosion: [spoil][/spoil] "C'mon. Come to the gala. It'll be fun! What's the worse that can happen?" [spoil][/spoil] Full Cold Moon gala, where the worst happens after the prayer session and meteors fall from the sky and causes aether to go chaotic just before Garleans arrive.
