Croix turned his death glare from Wandering Lion and gave an embarassed smile to the woman on his arm.

"I suppose there's no point in hiding it any more. I did give my true name. But yes, my...friend" he shot Wandering Lion another glare "and I are both members of the Phoenix Pirates. I serve as First Mate. The offer still stands, however...and you would be correct, we have quite the wonderful view. You are also quite accurate that we should depart with haste. Will you be joining us, my hawk-loving friend?" he asked of the other ranger as he started down a side street, indicating for her and Wandering Lion to follow him.

While this exchange was happening, Wandering Lion himself was examining the playing card curiously. "Aye, mate...I'll get it ta 'im...dunno what e's gonna make o'it. An' ye ain't needin' t'worry about coin, if it be imp'rtant tha' it gets t'Ty that be good enough f'r me. 'course, 'e ain't around now but ye be more'n welcome t'come back wit' us an' wait." With that, Wandering Lion patted the man on the head roughly and turned to follow Croix.

"Myths and Legends?" Vaelyn asked back to Sibean, "That sounds actually really interesting. They say within the Myths one can always find the truth. Though the truth can be sometimes hard to see through the veil of those who do not know where to look."

He urrs softly, "Of course, sometimes also trying to seek such things can lead you into a heap of bloody trouble."

Vaelyn then closes his eyes for a moment in thought, "I've heard stories where men would go seeking myths and legends, in trying to prove them true. Some of them returned in finding nothing, other returned seeming reborn by their travels, and others, well.." He opens his eyes, "They never returned."

"It would be an adventure to prove them real, but I sometimes wonder, if its best to leave such things alone and forgotten. Followers, after all, should never walk over the footprints of giants."

The duskwhite then cants his head to the side, "So.. what do the book cover, any form of creatures like winged beasts?"

A sword? Now Shamad was really interested. He thought of a couple ways to get attention. He could jump into that scholar's lap, he could grab the book and run, or he could just say something. But what to say? He decided on something less obvious. It was still obvious but just less so. He moved to a table next to Siben.

The Ranger carefully checked her companion for any injuries when she felt a sudden hand on her shoulder, she looked at the hand for a minute before looking up at itâs owner find the same man that had interrupted her conversation earlier with Ryelle in arm. Her hawk also cocking itâs head as he examined the two .

âIf it will get me out of this suffocating cityâ¦âShe steped back suddenly as she saw him stumble forwards her hawk spreading his wings a little at the sudden movement of the Elezen. The ranger caught site of the hulking Roegayden and as he spoke she had to make sure to listen carefully as his heavy accent made it easy to think one had misheard what was said. He seemed a decent enough fellow if you looked past the fact he was a pirate but then how many were not pirates in Limsa. .

As he offered his arm to her as he finished his little introduction she took it while her hawk settle himself on her free hand. As they gathered together they were approached by another fellow who handed the roegadyn a card. She nodded her own head acknowledging the man.

She watched as wandering Lion examined the card which the stranger had given him, glancing around for her aqaintance now further down the side street with the Elezen. She nodded her head to the man as Wandering lion offerd the stranger to wait before heading off with her arm in his.

A white-furred miqo'te sluggishly wanders into Limsa Lominsa, weather-beaten and exhausted.

"Ug, first my chocobo runs away, then it starts RAINING!" she exclaims, gaining the attention of several passerbys. "Just go to Limsa Lominsa dad said; pick up a manuscript for the library he said; it'll be easy he said! He's going to pay for this!" she fumes as she walks towards her rendezvous point.

"Oh well..." she thinks to herself... "Just need to meet our contact at the Bismarck. That shouldn't take long right? Besides, after I pick up the package, I hear the Bismarck has the nicest rooms in town! I could go for a nice bubble bath!" picking herself up from her stupor.

She drudgingly walks towards the Bismarck, eyes half closed and unaware due to exhaustion... "Just a little farther!" she screams in her head as she walks through the front door, finally opening her eyes widely.

"You have got to be kidding me!" she exclaims as her eyes finally set upon the carnage, falling to the floor.

The Duskwhite raised an eyebrow, "A sword huh?" He then leans back in the chair, careful with the spear on his backside and hrms softly as he crosses his arms over his chest. "What about this sword of legends?"

Siben looked between Loki and Shamad for a moment, "Well...who's to say if it's nonsense or not?"

He then looked to Vaelyn, "Even if it is a real sword, the legend of it granting wishes could still be nothing more than Chocobo pucky."

(Not using a trial character this time since Lura won't be making it ig most likely. I guess I'll have to put up one for Alam too. lol)

The merchant stood back crossing her arms over her chest and tapped her foot surveying the damage. The Lalafel grumbled under her breathe "Tsk, tsk, how can they keep open with this disarray. Why I wouldn't be caught dead open if my shop were to look like that..." she looked back up and behind looking at the dark Mo'quito "Alam you think this place is safe to stay in?"

The Mo'quito replied. "There certainly seems to be enough people going inside. Its up to you if you want to continue Mistress. You still intend to visit the docks, yes?"

The Lalafel heaved a sigh. "I suppose it won't hurt to check... though I hope the crowds don't make it too stifling... so many fools just hanging about to gawk..."

With that business woman and up-and-coming Dunesfolk Nanapariri headed towards the Bismark with an air of authority. The Mo'quito followed two steps behind, reaching out ahead of them both with her lance to encourage the crowd to make way, the ever dutiful bodyguard.

Nana paused just inside the entrance pinching her delicate nose to save it from the sooty smell and hoping her expensive robes and pristine white hair wouldn't be attacked by the wafting clouds of soot being disturbed by the clean up. Carefully she stepped around the piles heading to the check in counter.

The white-haired Miqo'te picked herself from the ground as the Lalafell passed, "Well I guess I should ask around, I suppose there's still a small chance that my contact didn't flee the building."

She walked towards the bar to question the waitress behind it, "Hiya!" she exclaimed. "Have you happened to notice an author come in here, I was supposed to meet him tonight."

The waitress glared at her for a while, "Doll, I've noticed a lot tonight but I ain't noticed any author come in here. That man over there seems to have a book, that's about all I can tell you," she responded nonchalantly.

The Miqo'te glared at the group of ruffians she had pointed at, "Well that's not who I'm looking for, but maybe one of them saw him..." she begrudgingly thought to herself as she scuffled her feet towards the group.

"Hiya!" she exclaimed...

The Miqo'te noticed the Lalafell's wave... "So uh, hi, I hate to bother your conversation but have you guys seen an author walk in here lately? He's about *gestures* yay high, blonde hair, brown eyes... well you might recognize him actually, he writes the really popular Perry Totter book series..." she continues without taking a breath, " You know, the one about the Lalafell who finds out he's really a goblin when he gets accepted into the Hog's Wart school of Mischief and Misery, and ultimately finds out his parents were killed by the Shadow Lord," she finally takes a breath, "I would really appreciate any information you guys have!"

((I like you a lot more now))

Shamad stared at the Miqo'te in astonishment. Perry Totter? It must be something for kids. Sounded interesting though. He would look it up. "I haven't that I know of. There was quite a commotion awhile ago and my memory is kinda fuzzy from getting hit in the head too many times. Hope you find him!"

((Gosh you make that sound like you didn't like me before! /astonished :D ))

"Grah!" she roared, "isn't that just my luck today! My parents are going to be furious with me if I don't bring them that manuscript, it's supposed to be out for publication next week... there's no way I can return home without it!" she exclaims as she plops herself down at the strangers' table.

((I'll admit I was indifferent. Now with the Perry Totter thing and the way you wrote up my profile, you've made me laugh so hard I can't breath. I love it when people do that.))

Shamad was surprised by the vehemence of the Miqo'te's response. "What manuscript? If I can I'll help you find it if you want."
