Well, that depends on what you're looking for, I think!

 

If you want to talk lore, get ideas for your character, plan RPs in-game or check out Free Companies and Linkshells, there's sections of the forums for all that. And there's a section for doing forum RPs as well, if that's something you're more comfortable with. There's a chatroom for real-time hanging out with folks, too!

Best advice I can think of is to start looking for contacts- there's a lot of people looking to do that in the Making Connections subforum, and you can make your own post there too if you like! Linkshells are a pretty good way to plug yourself into the social side of the game without getting too committal, beyond simply finding yourself a Free Company outright. Ultimately the forum is kind of an additional tool to help out your in-game experience! Cast your net and see what you can pull up.
