*looks around shyly* Hiya, new here as the title says. Very late to the FF party but reading everything I can to catch up. (bless everyone who filmed every cutscene from the first game so I could watch them. lol)

*edit thinking of I'minha as her first name(sun kitty) I call all my toons Izmina and it was close. does this look appropriate? Taking suggestions for her last name.

I noticed you were already asking about names and what have you. Yes it is confirmed we can use apostrophes in our name, and if you need any help with than all of the naming conventions are on the wiki (located at the top navigation) under each of the races.

If you still want to call your character Izmina, that's still more than possible I believe! Looking at the Seekers of the Sun information, the female conventions are...

 

"A female first name will always begin with the letter representing her tribe, followed by an apostrophe, and then her given name. Her last name is the first name of the tribe’s breeding male who sired her."

 

So you could call her something like N'Izmina or something. Saying that, Eorzea is a huge place and I'm sure there are some characters who don't fit the conventions of their race, so you could possibly just go with Izmina as the first name. It's your call!

 

As for last name, I'm not sure what to recommend here. I don't know what the last name would be if they haven't been "sired" by a member of their tribe, yet! It depends on your character history, I guess.
