Boots Posted July 18, 2010 Share #29 Posted July 18, 2010 I'm in Midwest USA (Central time represent!). However, I'm looking to relocate after my Masters to somewhere different. Either west coast (SoCal or Oregon), east coast (Penn or North Carolina), or somewhere Canadian (Toronto or Montreal) for my PhD. Any advice, peeps? And btw: No Australians? This needs to be fixed asap! Link to comment

Hm, might be a bit offtopic, but since the poll seems like to be the most important part here Im shure noone minds . Since most of you played FFXI, may you explain its dungeon / instance system to me? I only know from my brother, that it took SE very long to implement them and that some bosses were reeeeeeeeally long fights... Luckily theyll be in FFXIV from the start, as it seems... Eva Posted July 18, 2010 Share #37 Posted July 18, 2010 EDT (or just 'Eastern' or I suppose GMT-5 for all the people that insist that we're in EST and not presently under Daylight Saving Time) - I'm usually up rather late as well though, as my work shift runs from 10am to 6:30pm on a typical day (not dealing with rush hour traffic ftw!) Kashemia Posted July 25, 2010 Author Share #49 Posted July 25, 2010 It is a good idea to add people in the timezone to your friendlist, especially with this few people from Europe. Chances are, that a lot of events will happen in the middle of the night for us, so if we can arrange stuff in timezones that fit us more from time to time, it would be great Of course including all Americans who are on at the same time! It's not to exclude anyone. just because I know how much it can suck to be the only one from a completely different timezone, I missed so many events in Aion Link to comment
Smiling River Posted July 25, 2010 Share #50 Posted July 25, 2010 Some of us in the US feel your pain. There have been times where I played on the EU or JP peak times for 2+ weeks due to my biological clock being so damn random. Needless to say, you might see me up at your peak times quite often when FFXIV comes out. Link to comment
