Felix Sideris Posted August 15, 2013 Share #1 Posted August 15, 2013 Pumpkin pie filling + Home Made waffle recipy + Waffle maker = Amazing goodness. Yeah, my mom is making home made pumpkin waffles. Yeah, I'm 22 and live at home. And enjoying food like this, I don't feel any rush to leave either. No shame. Women who cook are glorious people. I love you all. Women who don't cook at good too. There is some kind of cute position women who can't cook are in, so it is acceptable. :moogle: I don't care how weird I am for saying that. Who's with me? Link to comment
Falkner Posted August 15, 2013 Share #2 Posted August 15, 2013 There's an old sayings here, "The best way to a man's heart is through his belly" so... yeah, assassins will deny it, between the ribs is the best and fastest way instead. Oh, love you, Mom! Love you too, my future waifu whoever and wherever you are... Link to comment

Selsix Posted August 15, 2013 Share #4 Posted August 15, 2013 I 100% agree, my lady Noire happens to be a fantastic cook. She spoils me. Also, no shame in living at home at this age, I'm 23, Noire is 26, and we are both crashing at my 'rents place for the time being. (Granted, we are looking to move out soon.) Link to comment
T'salmaveth Posted August 15, 2013 Share #5 Posted August 15, 2013 HAhaha! I used to cook a lot... had roomies. Realized almost a year in that I was doing a lot of work for very little appreciation and really no reciprocation. So I swore off cooking for others until I have a ring and some *ahem* appreciation for my work. I kinda miss doing it. Oh well. I get to be lazy for now instead. Best way to a man's heart, eh? I think the fastest way to mine is a nice back massage. I'd trade a steak dinner for that, no problem. Hehehe  Link to comment

I can't say I'm that amazing at it because I haven't done much but I'd totally cook for the woman who happens to catch me. And yeah. Steak dinner has no match against a back rub, but still. E'irawen Posted August 15, 2013 Share #7 Posted August 15, 2013 I love to cook, personally. I don't know any fancy recipes by heart, though. I love to just kind of make things as I go along. It drives my sister mad sometimes, and she gets jealous she said. She's the culinary student, and she thinks my cooking is better than hers. I feel flattered! ...It definitely looks uuuuugly though, lol. I should work more on presentation. But, flavor first! Link to comment
Disglair Posted August 15, 2013 Share #8 Posted August 15, 2013 I have been on a baking rampage for the past few weeks. The best thing? Betty Crocker Super Moist cake mix + a couple of tablespoons of cooking oil + 2 eggs = Delicious, easy cookies. I'm talking funfetti cookies, vanilla, chocolate, carrot, spice. Oh yeah! Here's a flippin' awesome easy recipe for everyone! Take the spice cake mix, make the cookie batter I explained above. Then take some granny smith apples, chop them up into tiny pieces and throw them in. Mix it up, plop cookie-sized portions onto a baking sheet, bake at 350 until golden brown. Then take vanilla icing (the cheap kind you buy at the store) and put a little bit in a cup. Microwave it for 15-30 seconds until it's runny and then drizzle it over the cookies. I #%@($ love easy baking. 1 Link to comment

I have had all kinds and traveled almost all over the world and I just... don't like fish/shellfish/etc. Gimme steak. Chicken. Goat. Rabbit. Zebra(I kid you not, it was really good!) Just... no fish. (And my mother said I was an embarrassment when I lived less than 10min from Rockport in Salem, MA and refused to eat any lobster...) I DO love baking, though. I make cake balls when I'm bored for my gaming group... and I also made for them a few times... (Hand made chocolate chip cookie layer, oreos, fudge brownies....) Link to comment
Orlog Posted August 15, 2013 Share #16 Posted August 15, 2013 You guys have no idea. I LOVE to cook like no other. I might not be a professional chef, but I've seriously considered it at points. Foods I've made (cause I also like to show it off ): [spoil][/spoil] [spoil][/spoil] [spoil][/spoil] ...Fuck, now I really want to go cook something awesome. Spicy pasta tonight! Link to comment
Apoc1216 Posted August 15, 2013 Share #17 Posted August 15, 2013 Hey hey now, don't forget about the guys who can cook too. Haven't been able to really share my amazing cooking with anyone! Here is a picture! [/spoiler Link to comment
ShoggMommy Posted August 15, 2013 Share #18 Posted August 15, 2013 I make no man sammiches! Bwahahaha! ...actually I just burn everything. D: I'm not a very good cook, except for very certain things. Most of which are soups. I make good Matzoh Ball soup, fieldpeas/blackeyed peas with salted pork, um... Some other things. My boyfriend actually prefers to cook, does a lot of the cooking. But I do help him out every so often, especially if he's raiding or something I'll do the cooking cause hey he makes it what 5 other days out of the week. Think I can pull off a 'suitable' non crispy meal for him during a raid night. *snerk* Link to comment
LandStander Posted August 15, 2013 Share #19 Posted August 15, 2013 Go ahead and live up your mothers cooking while you can. The real world is a harsh mistress. I have lived with over five different women in my short life and none of them really knew how to cook. Hell, I don't even know how to cook. I can microwave a mean burrito though, make sure its not frozen in the middle and everything. :moogle: Link to comment

Dubs Posted August 15, 2013 Share #21 Posted August 15, 2013 Though this sounds strange I always looked at cooking as a great replacement hobby. Sure you screw up and there can be expletive laden hysterics within a small kitchen but if you have supportive friends or family that really have no expectations and don't mind being guinea pigs, why not? LeCard Posted August 15, 2013 Share #23 Posted August 15, 2013 I know my mom taught me how to cook, though I certainly took it and ran with it. I really like cooking, but those dishes...those dishes. Why do so many beautiful dishes have to require a ton of pots and pans and then more plates and bowls on top of it.... I would probably cook for fun things if I had a better dishwasher(or a designated person to fill such a role) Link to comment
Domri Blackblade Posted August 15, 2013 Share #24 Posted August 15, 2013 I'm a terrible cook. But it's okay because it helps keep my weight at a good place, haha! I always tell my roommate if I could cook stuff I liked to eat, I would end up on TLC on one of those My 700lb Life shows. I am really good at making scrambled eggs, though! Link to comment
