Character Theme Songs

I figured since there was a "Cast your Character" thread, I'd make one about our character's theme songs. Try and keep it to one song; I know some of you will want to post, say, five songs for one character and another eight for the next. Try and find one song that sums up your character pretty well; if you have to post two, that's fine. I'll start it off (obviously)

 

The song I find that sums up Nedral in many ways, but obviously not all, is 'Wither' by Dream Theater, one of my favorite bands. It runs through most of the emotions Nedral has run through before, and after, being transferred into Aixa's body.

 

 

 

Members of the band in order of appearance:

Mike Portnoy - drums, vocals

 

James LeBrie - lead vocals

 

John Pettruci - Guitar, vocals (also my idol :D)

 

Jordan Rudass - Keyboard and synth

 

John Myung - Bassist. (Note: John Myung is quite the reclusive guy and is rarely featured in any of Dream Theater's videos. He's the asian guy who makes his first appearance at about 1:37 in the video)

Excellent choice, Malrend. Demons and Wizards rock! I'm hearing a lot of great music from you guys! Believe it or not, this simple thing (finding a theme song for a character) Helps define him/her tremendously. When developing a character for a script, I often turn to musical inspiration to develop a character before anything else.

 

Here's Luther's theme:

 

(Just imagine the lead singer is a big Roegadyn :D)

Oh dammit, almost forgot Aixa's theme. She was developed in a very depressed state of mind, apparently. The name of the song is 'Heaven' by DJ Sammy (I'm sure some of you have heard it) It's the candlelight remix.

Love finding music for my characters. My usual idea is to find something the individual could live his life to, or even simpler walk to. Characters change and the way I see it need different music to define each stage. Thus I tend choose multiple ones to define them, cheesy aint it! Though I change my mind alot -.-

 

My Roegadyn, Thagyr -

- Serenata Immortale from Immediate Music.To define his history of principles broken and a storm survived.

 

Still looking for other songs to define his current state and possible future.

Although it may seem weird for a Lalafell I am considering one of 3 themes

 

1. I stand alone - Godsmack

Due to my character's loner nature in a sense

 

2. In the End - Linkin Park

For those days when things just go bad no matter how hard you try to make it work

 

3. Final Fantasy 7's Sephiroth Theme

Because no matter how much we all can deny it Sephiroth is the coolest Final Fantasy character ever

Although you free to disagree if you want

 

Anyways after some time those 3 theme songs are running through my head right now
