Brave Posted September 25, 2013 Share #1 Posted September 25, 2013 PirscKRxHHI Sometimes... I wish I had a troupe of gorgeous Miqo's encouraging my crafting nonsense >< Also another silly video (it's a loop... but I enjoy it ><) H_kdeqep8mU Link to comment

Brave Posted September 25, 2013 Author Share #3 Posted September 25, 2013 Sorry, was just being silly >< I watch a lot of Anime Music Videos, and thought that the person timed the image switch to the beat real well. I'll go to time out. :cactuar: 1 Link to comment

Brave Posted September 25, 2013 Author Share #6 Posted September 25, 2013 Honestly, I've never been into the "furry" scene. (not knocking people who are btw) Leave it to Japanese game dev's to just animate them REALLY adorably though! >< I wasn't big on Mithra, or Cathar, or Worgen for that matter (I know worgen aren't cats -.-) But Miqo's have a fun grace to them. I'll admit I have a GIRL problem. But I think most heterosexual men do. Women are beautiful and I have a tendency of being vocal about it. On that front though, if it offends someone I'm very good about stopping. >< Back to my topic though... crafting can get boring, and Miqo's liven up the scene. I also really like that song for the second one (especially while crafting). >< Link to comment
Asyria Posted September 25, 2013 Share #7 Posted September 25, 2013 I think, sir, that you may have a problem. :dodgy: I agree. There isn't enough Miqo'te. Also, Dat cook. O_O Link to comment
Dravus Posted September 25, 2013 Share #8 Posted September 25, 2013 How tacky... I think I'll stick to preferring the likes of Nigella Lawson where women are concerned and Jon Bernthal where men are concerned. Link to comment
YesGood Posted September 25, 2013 Share #9 Posted September 25, 2013 After the first minute of that video, pretty much everything made me laugh. It kind of hurt a little... trying to hold in the amusement. Also, I'm not an expert on these things... but I don't think traditional cat girls are considered furry by most...furries. Everything makes me want to punch Jon Bernthal in the face. Everything. But I'm surprised you find that Highlander tacky and not THIS MUSTACHE. Kidding. Link to comment

Oh, I was more referring to him as he is as Shane Walsh in the Walking Dead. Most men look pretty stupid with facial hair as far as I'm concerned. Stubble is usually fine and typically very sexy, but anything else can only be pulled off by certain men - and even then I'm not too keen on it. Link to comment
Magellan Posted September 25, 2013 Share #11 Posted September 25, 2013 Miqo's are humans with a tail and cat ears. I hardly think they qualify as furries Link to comment
Pondahl Posted September 25, 2013 Share #12 Posted September 25, 2013 General rule of thumb, which is also contributing to taking this thing off of its original topic, sorry: 1 Link to comment
Fates Skein Posted September 26, 2013 Share #13 Posted September 26, 2013 These definitely won a few giggles. I approve of cat-girl cheerleaders. We need to make this a thing. And yes, that cook. *fans self* Link to comment
Lost River Posted September 26, 2013 Share #14 Posted September 26, 2013 Pssh, I may like Mow Mows, but we need more Roegadyn cheer leaders. Yes! Link to comment
Manari Posted September 26, 2013 Share #15 Posted September 26, 2013 What is the music in the cheerleader video? It was so epic and dramatic, I love it! Also, naturally I approve of Miqo'te cheerleaders. But I think we can do better with finding cheerleading uniforms. The coatees are SO 1.0. Link to comment

Asyria Posted September 26, 2013 Share #17 Posted September 26, 2013 Miqo'te aka catgirls aka nekomimi, and what they refer to in Japanese culture, according to wikipedia (and frankly quite spot on, as far as I know)... A catgirl is a female character with cat traits, such as cat ears, a cat tail, or other feline characteristics on an otherwise human body. Catgirls are found in various fiction genres and in particular Japanese anime and manga, where they are more commonly referred to as neko (猫, literally cat) or nekomimi (猫耳, literally cat ear(s)). Catgirls typically display cat-like behaviors, exhibiting traits such as playfulness, mischievousness and deviousness. Sometimes this may include cat gestures or sounds in written or verbal communications. An often used running gag is that catgirls habitually end their lines of speech with the phrase (にゃあ?) nyā, the Japanese onomatopoeia for a cat's meow. In anime and manga regular humans will sometimes sprout cat ears or a tail in order to illustrate their excitable or playful personalities. This is similar to the phenomenon of becoming chibi. Additionally characters may be portrayed with a catlike mouth to emphasize mischievous thoughts or comments by a character. In short... not furry! 'Cause furry is straight up anthropomorphic. *The more you know... nya! =^.^= Link to comment

Asyria Posted September 28, 2013 Share #21 Posted September 28, 2013 I think they're more like sideways... Probably for better all-around and less forward-focused hearing? They're still cat ears, though! But I swear that cat's looking at me saying YOU'RE DOING WRONG! Link to comment
Naunet Posted September 28, 2013 Share #22 Posted September 28, 2013 They're still cat ears, though! I dunno... Cat ears tend to be very triangular and upward pointing. Miqo'te ears are far more elongated, angle almost straight out from the skull. They actually remind me more of fennec fox ears. Not a perfect match, but closer than actual cat ears for sure. Lost River Posted September 28, 2013 Share #23 Posted September 28, 2013 I made a mow mow, now I can cheer-lead too, cause no one likes my Roegadyn dancing around. Cause, it's like 1800's traditional ball room dancing... but whoa, the jiggle physics are insane on that. I think it was purposely done that way. Link to comment

You have a point there... Besides, Miqo'te aren't really catgirls. Pretty feline of course but Seekers are more lion-likes and Seekers kinda remind me of wolves. Not in their looks but in their.. cultures, I guess. That's a whole other discussion though. o_O Link to comment
