New Servers!

I just can't understand all these "OH GOD NOOOOOO" reactions to Besaid....is it seriously purely because they didn't like it in FFX? I mean, there's no other measure for it, people freaked out over it as soon as it was voted on when the server was about a day old, not like it can have some 'bad rep' or anything.

 

Damn people...deal with it already.

It's just a name. Honestly, it wasn't my favorite name either. If I could choose I'd probably have gone with Mysidia (<3 FF4), and I'll admit some of the new ones are cool too. The name really isn't important though. What is important is that we're all deciding to go to the server together. The server could be called PinkPixieDust or lolercoaster for all I care, as long as it's where everyone's headed, I'm glad to follow. I think all the talk of a re-vote isn't worth the aggravation. We've got our home server now. Let's make the most of it and start thinking more about our characters and their nuances instead!

A revote isn't really viable now anyway. Besaid has been announced as the Unofficial RP Server on most of the major FFXIV Fan Sites now.

Our choice was made, the nonrp groups that are following us seem happy with the decision, so maybe we should be too

As far as I know, there were only 2 people on the RPC that were directly effected by the server vote, and neither of them are calling for a re-vote despite not getting their choice. Really no reason to pick another server just because you like "X" name over "Y" name. A lot of us played on Sylph. It wasn't Shiva, or Bahamut, or Odin... It was Sylph, and we loved it.

 

Server name really doesn't matter. And if it weren't for other factors, I would be there with you.

A new server has been added and is available for players to choose from, bringing the total server count to 16:

 

Saronia â a castle from FF3.

We are also seeing 7 additional servers that are setup as game/world servers, so they are already setup to expand FFXIV to 23 total servers

I'd love to see a "Gold Saucer" server, just because. But they already have Wutai. Bleh.. stupid Wutai.

I have a question though, if they do for some reason remove Besaid as a server, as they got rid of CB servers, what will RPC do? Hold some emergency vote? Though, with continually adding severs I doubt they will removed OB servers, just a concern.

I don't like Narshe quite as much as Mysidia and Lindblum, but Narshe brings quite nostalgic, proud feelings to mind, as well.

Hiiiiighly unlikely, since they have said that the server you are on in open beta is the server your name will be reserved on at release.

You deleted our posts? Wow...we were only joking because FF6 is our fav game. Plus, I just thought it was cool that Narshe got added. Who said anything about a revote?
