Two Newbies to Balmung!

Hello RPC!

 

Myself and my significant other just began playing FFXIV ARR!  We originally started on Adamantoise, but after accidentally running into an RP'er in Duty Finder and learning more about Balmung we decided to make the move.  We're both very interested in RP but are so new to the game as well that we really overwhelmed with all of the fun stuff to do!

 

Right now we're still going through all of the content and would be really interested in some light to mid RP.  We'd especially be interested in groups that maybe RP through dungeons.  They're some of the coolest looking areas but everytime we've done one we get rushed through the whole process.

 

Anyhow, my name is Pipituu Kipichuu on the game and my significant other's is Mijisaa Qisaa.  We have some ideas for RP, but really would like to plug into a group and see how its done.

Hope you've had the chance to meet some interesting people already, and i'd like to say that I love running dungeons IC (though finding a full group can be a bit of a bother, so let me know if you need a third!)

"Balmungs Finest" which is a group centered around helping people find groups for PVE content. While most of this is done OOC, I and a few others in the 2nd linkshell do IC runs from time to time.

I've found FFXIV to be particularly well-suited to IC dungeons, as there are very few intrusive elements (NPCs, too-frequent cutscenes) that would interrupt the roleplay. Good stuff!

Welcome to Balmung! I'm glad it was through the Duty Finder you learned about RPC.  I keep IC in all dungeons and even the OOC players play along sometimes.  It's good to know it works.

And Claris, that Lalafell circle was actually pretty much our first experience on Balmung!  We switched worlds, logged on, and that was happening!  (meanwhile, on Adamantoise, pure silence and passerbys).

 

We RP'd for our first time today with someone and it was fun.  We spent most of the time just listening and observing though (as suggested by the advice).
