Well I was all excited for augments until I saw this.

 

 

And guess what, kids? To get all your Gallant armor augmented, you require a grand total of SEVEN INDIVIDUAL AUGMENTS.

 

Not only is there only one for sale, but it's 800k, and I need 7.

 

Why, Square? Why? Why did you do this? Why couldn't you just make AF armor dye-able by default like you did with Darklight?

And it helps with gear? I'm not sure if that was what it was or if it was just SHINY AF DYE!

Yep. And unfortunately, it's that or craft your own augments - but that requires some high level crafting. And between high level crafting being centered on Materia melding (which, by itself, is a nauseatingly expensive venture even before you take into account overmelding failures) and this latest jumping through hoops for the sake of vanity, I'm gonna give augmented AF a pass. Eff that.

Nope. You are literally paying 5,600,000+TAX to be able to dye your AF armor.

Not only that, but to be able to dye one single set of your AF armor.

Remember that's only if you're paying Day 1 prices. I can't find the list now but the Augmentations basically just required a huge pile of mythology mat-synths and the like. Tawny latex, etc.

 

Prices won't be that high forever, and you'll be able to do some on your own with the right crafters/connection. My gripe is that it takes myth, which is ALSO fueling my alexandrite addiction right now. Just glad I got to hodgepodge together a STR list of accessories before 2.28 held me up.

 

My sympathies for anyone still working the Animus/Novus grind and wanting to look into this.

though it would have been much better if K'nahli's comp hadn't broken right before the patch. orz

 

I wonder what the robe from the new Hard Mode dungeons looks like! If anyone finds any screen, would you mind posting it here?

The healer ST robe is... Interesting. I'm not sure why it has dangling claws on it. I rather like the i80 dungeon caster robe.

ALC master crafting recipes. The Myth-bought crafting items. God no wonder they may be going for like 200k+.

Also, I think Tam-Tara HM is my favourite of the new dungeons. Super creepy. And the music reminds me of some of the hotel and mansion of madness themes from Time Splitters. <3

At the end, one of my party members was like, "yay we killed her!" and I was like, "You're kidding, right?  SHE WAS SMILING THE WHOLE WAY DOWN, AND ON FIRE.  She's not dead.  *shudder*"
