[align=center]Quayside Academy Orientation Day[/align] [align=center]7/06/2015 - 22:00GMT/17:00EST[/align] [align=center]The Quayside hosted it's annual Orientation Day, to celebrate the start off it's new lights journey.[/align] [align=center][/align] [align=center]Headmaster: Doctor Stien Skjold, begin in teaching the Quayside new lights the origin of how the Quay came to be. At the end off his story, he passed on the knowledge that every light was like the man in his story, each and everyone is on a journey and it is up to you, to create the path you travel.[/align] [align=center]Afterward's, he begin explaining that currently the Quayside Academy is under reconstruction in an attempt to re-modernize the Academy to give the Quayside lights the best facility to help each light reach they potential.[/align] [align=center]Instructor Zagi'zi Kumai, was asked to deliver his words off wisdom in the Arcana art's, the subject that he teaches. After his wise words of wisdom. The house assignation had begun. Headmaster: Doctor Stien Skjold explained that the questionnaire that each light had completed in the application process when they applied to Quayside Academy was designed to find out which house each light belong too. [/align] [align=center]One by one Headmaster: Doctor Stien Skjold called each Quayside Light forward and ask them which house do they feel they belong too and why do they think this? Before telling each light what house they have been assigned. After a long house assignation process, it was done.[/align] [align=center]House Salamand, recieved 3 new lights: ~Felicia LeMure~ ~K'yalwann Rhowa~ ~Talvi Noita~ House Undin recieved 3 new lights:[/align] [align=center]~Kailen Makalar~ ~R'zhumii Rahz~ ~Elise Lucaeyn~ House Slyphi recieved 1 new light: ~Sahja Nepahl~ House Gnoma recieved 1 new light:[/align] [align=center]~Suiren Waterflower~[/align] [align=center]Congratulation the new lights on they new houses. Headmaster: Doctor Stien Skjold passed the floor to Doctor Nhagi Chalahko, whom had given a heartfelt speech about the Quayside new lights and about her subject she teaches. Finaly Headmaster: Doctor Stien Skjold, told the new lights to keep a eye out on the Quayside News Board to find out the date and times off they classes. [align=center]During the times that word’s had forgotten, the times off fear and despair, lived a man who dreamed of a life, a life living in the light. Each day he prayed to each light’s that had shone under the black sky. But with each pray, a response of silence was heard. With his faith shattered, the man turned from prays to emptiness. Searching for the light that would answer, the man set out on a journey.[/align] [align=center] The first road, led the man to the sight off a long vast land covered in a gold blanket. With no way across, the man began to swim. An hour had past, as the man reached his limit. Slowly the man started to struggle to stay afloat, on the blanket off water. As he sunk further into the depths off his watery grave the man decided he wanted to live. Finding the strength within him and the belief that he would follow this dream. The man pushed himself onto the blanket off water and then against the island shore.[/align] [align=center] Renewed by this new found strength inside him, the man travelled through the land of vast gold blankets. Hours had turned to days before the man finally found civilisation. The people he encountered had nothing and yet, these people where somehow happy. The man asked the people how one can be happy when they have nothing. The people weaved a tale, to the man about how, in life you must appreciate what you have. You do not know whether it will be gone tomorrow, so why not live in the day. Help those less fortunate, these are acts of virtue. Seeing such acts of kindness in the name of virtue, caused the man to feel lighter. People in this world have nothing but at the same time, they have so much; these were the man’s last thoughts as he departed though the golden blanket to find his light once more. His journey took him though the vast golden blankets and into the land of green and tree’s. It wasn’t long until the man stumbled across a group of kids laughing and acting out unknown motions. The man was bewitched by this strange site, as he stood by and watched. It was here, when the kids began to notice that they was a strange dressed man as they rushed over to investigate.[/align] [align=center] They kid’s questioned why was the man dressed funny. In which the man replied with a tale of wonder and adventure, a story about the man who prayed to the silent stars. Under the sounds of silence, the story had finished leaving the kids with the feeling off questions, excitement and wonder. What happened to the man at the end? One of the kids had asked, in which the man responded; “I am afraid that part is still being written”. Just as the man was about to leave, the kids asked him if one day he would come back and finish the story about the man and the stars. The man begun to think on how much he had changed and how much he had learned on this path he has travelled. Was this wisdom he had found? With even more questions the man decided it was time to return home. Month’s had past, as answers to answerless questions stayed within his mind. Upon reaching his final destination, the man saw the sight of a women, a girl he had once known as far back as his memories would take him. When she saw him, she turned and smiled; recounting her old childlike nickname for the man. Feeling strange inside, the man began to wonder, was this it, was he… happy? Was this joy he felt in his heart? At this time, the man started to realise what his journey was truly about. The journey to find a life in the light, it never really occurred to him before. What if the reason’s the star’s was silent, was not because they had turned they back on him but because he had light already inside him. He just needed to find it.[/align] [align=center] One by one, the man suddenly realise that every question he had once asked himself, he had already knew the answers. Thinking back to the kids bewitched by tales of excite, to the land of vast golden blankets with the people whom had nothing but everything as his final thought led him to the star’s that had once prayed too. The man decided, he would share his story and help others find the light that is in life. This was the origin of the Quay. Time has grown old since this day causing the Quay to change. Once a group dedicated to sharing the tale about the man who prayed to stars. Now the Academy of Quayside, a sanctuary that guides; one to follow they hopes and dreams. To believe in the light within them as they let shine forever more.[/align]

Depending what time you play on the afternoon if your a EST player. It is likely you will still be able to play with EU players. Myself, I am a EU player but people who are playing around 3pm in EST. In EU time it's likely to be 8pm so in fact most EU players will still be able to RP with your character in the world for a few hours. Other than that, they is always weekends. Doctor Stien Skjold is what we call a traveling Doctor. He travels from town to town helping out anyone who need aid. It would even be possible that the two people may have bumped into each other on the road. After all he has been traveling for 10years. Vok~

I have been thinking for sometime about trying to get back into FF XIV ARR RP, but because I work now "Yeah I know, real life has caught up with me". my scheduled may stay 6:00pm to 11:00pm GMT. Before this weren't really a issues before I started working as I had sleeping problem and could be flexible on NA and PST time zones. Greeting's and again sorry for the late reply with Valentine day being in the air, I was kinda preoccupied to answer. I will answer both your questions in order below: Blircos: I am afraid my situation hasn't vastly improved over the course of the last few month's due to work & having a girl friend which reminds me why do I have a girlfriend or a job again? Some time I forget my self. But depending on how my plans play out in the next few months I could be returning to the game sooner than expected. Dragonspecpc: Mind if I call you Dragon? Well Dragon unfortunately I can't state every difference between Garden and Unsung Heroes only share the little knowledge I know regarding the difference between the two Guild's and what Garden also was. Well from friends of mine I know that UH is a Academy which is based in Limsa If I am not mistaking, in which they offer OOC PvE & PvP but focusing more on the RP scene. But you will most like want to know the IC aspect I suppose. Well.... Well compare to Garden [uH] was a single academy (If someone from UH reads this feel free to correct me) which focus on education/ adventure paths while [GGSA] on the other hand was part of a 3 Academy system which was built up of Uldar Garden, Gridania Garden & Limsa Garden. We aimed to allow our members to explore many paths of RP which is stated in [Concept] at the top of the page. Beside from that from a OOC stand point [GGSA] was always keen to offer our members the option to experience the PvE, PvP and even Crafting sectors. Before I had to put [GGSA] on hold I was working on a program called G.N.E.P (Garden Network Exchange Program) which would of aloud a student to study a subject at another Garden while being able to represent they own Garden. But unfortunately when I finished it Limsa Garden disbanded and I am not sure what happened to Uldur Garden now, I think It changed leadership. If you want more information I can always try to expand further Dragon. Vok~

Alot of PST and EST players may wonder why this event is so early for them. I will explain this now for you. As it stands Balmung is still a EU/NA server and it would be unfair on a big part of the community if we simply shut them out. But at the same time it would be un-fair on the PST if we made events around 7GMT, this may cause conflicting on they schedule, The earliest we can create an event which can cater for all three time zones would be the 9GMT - 4EST - 1PDT. Of course alot of people may be at work and may be cut out too. We know this could be a problem but they is little we can do to fix that while not including one off three timezones from the Garden(s) event. I will be doing a GTM-PST poll in the future to see what times our fellow community members would prefer they classes. This way we can help make something there for everyone. On the last note. Gridania Garden will be there, please feel free to message myself on Enjin on here (same name) or in game (Dair Brainse) for help getting here or information. Vok~

As Xenellia was saying Gridania Garden or if you prefer [GGSA] does indeed exist, currently the creator had to take a mini break due to real life work and joining a new team. From Monday he will be pushing his plans ahead for GGarden and finally finishing off his site... :angel: Something that he has been neglecting to do. Adding to what Ventus is saying, currently Limsa Garden is still in the creation process of the guild birth, it may be one day or two, even a week till they door's are ready for the grand opening. Thank you for your post Prido, let me answer your questions. Being apart of Limsa Grand Company and being under Gridania Garden will have almost no problems, the only problem which I could see is a different view's of a opinion's between someone from Gridania but even then that would be one more way how you have made your character your own. Now if you are a student you could be classed as a exchange student, really just a student who have moved from one Garden to another, so in a way Limsa or Ul'dah to Gridania. Now to answer your last question. Currently they is not a Limsa Garden presence, but that does not mean one would not be popping up in a few week's. I know they is a idea for it's creation but whether that happens I am afraid only time can tell. Instead of waiting for a Limsa Garden, what I would do is join either Gridania or Ul'dah Garden and then if they is a Limsa Garden which pop's up then transfer to another Academy. Not only is it character building but it's also character progression for your character. Vok~
