The Launcher contained the following information in regards to known bugs that will potentially still be in place when the servers go live in a few hours. Wanted to make sure that this had visibility as some of the issues may cause errors that can be avoided. 2013/08/23 15:25 Current Known Issue (Aug. 23) As of August 23, 2013, the following issues have been confirmed in FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn. - An issue wherein the companion action "Choco Medica" does not recover HP properly. * We plan to address this issue via a hot fix as soon as possible. - An issue wherein the "manor sentries" that appear in the instanced dungeon "Haukke Manor" become stuck and prevent players from progressing through the instanced dungeon. * Please be sure to fight the "manor sentries" on the second floor of the Haukke Manor until the issue is addressed. * If you encounter this issue, please open the Duty Finder and then select "Leave." - Due to a critical issue that we have identified in the instanced dungeon "The Wanderer's Palace," the instanced dungeon will not be available at launch. * Please note that while the instanced dungeon "The Wanderer's Palace" will show up in the Duty Finder, it will be inaccessible. Please refrain from joining the instanced dungeon until the issue is addressed. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. - An issue wherein if a player completes a primal battle while KO'd, the option to return to your home point will not appear. * If you encounter this issue, please have a party member revive you or open the Duty Finder and then select "Leave." - An issue wherein if a player joins an instance via the Duty Finder, they occasionally become immobilized after leaving the instance. * If you encounter this issue, please contact a GM by selecting the "Support Desk" option under the system menu. - An issue wherein certain cutscenes viewed from the "The Unending Journey" located in inn rooms will always play from the beginning. - An issue wherein the icons on the market boards occasionally appear incorrectly while a player is experiencing lag. - [PlayStation®3 only] An issue wherein a player will occasionally lose control of their character while fighting a certain monster in the instanced dungeon "The Sunken Temple of Qarn." * If you encounter this issue, please log out and then back in. - [PlayStation®3 only] An issue wherein the game client may freeze if a player attempts to log out while their character configuration screen is open. - [PlayStation®3 only] An issue wherein the cursor location of the Crafting Log will occasionally appear in the incorrect location and prevents the players from controlling their characters. * If you encounter this issue, please log out and then back in. - [PlayStation®3 only] An issue wherein a player will occasionally be unable to take a screenshot. * If the screenshot fails, the message "Screenshot failed." will appear.

ZETHIE! You found us! You were one of the ones at the top of my list to contact as soon as we got in game as I didn't have your RPC info. Great to see you! *ducks*

I'm hoping to be on by 7am CST, about 3 hours after early access is available. And we have no restrictions what-so-ever on preferred play method. Chat will likely be handled in game via the /Linkshell and /Say channels. At the moment we're going to keep the linkshell OOC, so don't be afraid to sound off there when you can. Typically the /Say channel is reserved for IC comments, as everyone around you can 'hear' what you're saying. A word of advice on PS3 Chat and keyboard use: If you go into your menu, there is a box that is checked by default in the chat tab that allows you to automatically start chatting as soon as you type on a keyboard plugged into your PS3's usb port. However, if you un-check said box, it will allow for utilizing hot-keys on the keyboard as well! With the box unchecked, just ENTER or the " / " key and you can start typing as usual. FFXIV:ARR does not inherently support voice chat through the client, so that will have to be handled via a secondary application, such as skype, ventrilo, or team speak.

That we do, and we plan on being in relatively early tomorrow morning.

I just got mine entered with some exceptional guidance from Desmond. Alas, like many others I've yet to receive a confirmation e-mail, but my hopes are high!

Hullo and welcome! We're getting more and more folks here everyday, and it's a very exciting time for all of us! As previously stated, the goal of the RPC was to try and get everyone together on a unified front to explore role-playing opportunities, but motives being what they, the RPC decided it would support two servers for gamers; one Legacy and one non-Legacy, and that decision was made well before my time here. That being said, no one can say what percentage of folks will be RPing on the server of your choice, but in the Linkshell Hall we do have an 'other' section added for those of us who want to connect on a server other than the primary ones. We're glad to have you, and the members here are amazingly helpful and friendly. Wherever you go, I hope you find friends and a happy home!

Stay tuned to the front page as we'll be making some changes shortly that will give some better oversight of what our goals are along with a member listing and how to get ahold of us. I'm curious how that's going to work myself, actually. I typically use my credit card to pay for my subs, but that's not really paying in advance... They did say that if you paid for 90 you'd get all 3 at once, but didn't specify when...
