Equilibrium has an evil side. With quite a few characters in it. They are kind of a cult. If you want more you can look at the description on our Linkshell page here on the RPC. The cult side isn't my lore idea, it was created by another person in our company but if you have any questions feel free to ask and I can try and get the answers.

Thank you to all who attended the chocobo races! With the donations from House Dubois, from Mr. White, and the entry fees. The total pay out to the top three finishers being around 80,000k. Congrats to our winners. 1st- D'emi Rohjah 2nd- Kassandra Enora 3rd- Ereshkigal Ahriman Keep a look out for the date and location of our next races! If you are interested in helping to sponsor the next race feel free to contact Evelyn Strider. We can work in a Company announcement to tell all assembled gathers and racers. Once again thanks to everyone! You made this event a huge success!

Check-in for the Races starts in about 30 minutes.

The race track for tomorrow. Remember the race will be three laps! See everyone tomorrow at 7pm EST!

But the covers were exactly why I picked up the books! But I agree they are simply amazing.

We're going to group in Black Brush Station which will have the start and the finish. I'll post the map tonight/tomorrow morning with the locations of everything. You could probably stand anywhere along the tract, but I think start/finish will have the most people.

Well that makes three of us for the book club...I was going to create a post with a yes/no poll...but the poll won't work! QQ so if we get at least 5 people interested here we can start another post to throw out book ideas?

Most of the books I read are "epics" so 600+ pages, so they should keep you for a few days . I tend to avoid " Oh that's even better. It'll be in the 2-4 days range then. once I get into a book it's really hard to stop me >< I used to lock myself in the restroom. Me too....but that's because my parents grounded me from reading as a kid and so I'd hide in the bathroom to read. >.>

Welcome to the RPC! And love for all the pirate characters/characters with a pirate background! If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. I've never seen a more friendly community then this one, so no need to be shy. I also help run an FC called Equilibrium which you can check out here or on our website. Again Welcome!

All this book talk makes me want to start reading (been so busy with work and school) and to start an Eorzean book club .

Same here!! Love those two so much! To quote ExKage, "Insta-Friends"! I'd read and watched some so I have an inkling of what's happened and about these characters. I favor Arya slightly, just slightly more. Oh you should keep watching and reading.....both grow on you greatly. And Arya....she's the one I root for when I watch. I am kind of sad though...so far Arya has only one confirmed chapter in the new book. I SOOOO want to know what's going on with her character more than any.

The Game of Thrones HBO series stays truer to the books then what a movie would have been able to. And it's not that the series is different. The order of the show is chronologically. The order of the books is a little different because how he divides the series by character. The directors made a comment on this and this is how Martin wanted the series to be shown. The they're starting season 4 now...and are midway through book 2 or 3. So the seasons don't reflect the book....i.e season 4 is not book 4. That's really the only significant difference, that I've seen. Though I should probably go back and reread the books at some point. Also Ruru...it's a toss up between my favorite GOT character between Tyrion and Arya.

YAY! INSTA-FRIENDS! My favorite of hers is the Immortal Series. Though I also a friend named Alanna and I thought that was the most awesome thing ever....yes I was a nerd and proud of it! As to George RR. Martin...I'm REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY hoping things are going to pick up with the books. After all he has to keep up with the shows. I'm mean that's a very lucrative deal. Though apparently he pulled a J.K. Rowling (she told Alan Rickman Snape's entire story so he could play the charater completely BEFORE she released everything) and told the directors what he had planned and the end IN CASE something happened.

OMG! Love Tamora Pierce! Here's the recommendations I normally make 1) Kushiel's series - Jacqueline Carey (all of them, she has three triologies, but be warn there is sexual content, but it's done very tastefully- book is considered science fiction NOT romance/smut) 2) The Mistborn Triology - Brandon Sanderson (he's the one who was finishing the Wheel of Time series, though was already a serious author in his own right, needless to say amazing work) 3) The Song of Fire and Ice- George RR. Martin (I know this was already on someone's list but it can't be recommended enough, but be ready to devote some serious time.) 4) Outlander series - Diana Gabaldon (historical fiction starting from the scottish war of independence and then going on to the American revolution, kind of a romance but I love history so went for it) On my list to read: 1)Stormlord Triology - Glenda Larke - (on book 3 of 3, been very good so far) 2) Broken Empire Triology - Mark Lawerence-( I haven't read this but it's been on several lists, it's supposed to be a very dark triology, excited to get to it) But nothing holds a place in my heart like... Harry Potter! Severus Snape is the best and I loved him since book one..don't judge!

Howdy! First off...Don't do it! Don't give in to the SWTOR temptation. Secondly, if you'd like to take a look Equilibrium is a dual sided FC, good characters and bad. So you can choose your own story...or play both sides and keep your true loyalties a secret. We have a website where you can look at the lore of how the two groups came to be or you can find it here on the Linkshell page. If you have questions feel free to message me here or in game on Evelyn Strider.

PLOTS..PLOTS..PLOTS..PLOTS..PLOTS..PLOTS (think LMFAO's shots...it was funny in my head >.<) Anyways. My FC just finished our 3rd installment of who knows how many installments of our RP story. We're a dual sided FC and the evil side just meet the good side, some it was their first meeting others it was just a reintroducing. An epic first battle happened and there's a promise for much much more RP. We've also helped some of HOD members with their plot lines and even brought along our own personal crazy . As much as tavern RP is a fun way to meet people I THRIVE off of large plots and crazy story. But you have to start some where and there are TONS of people here willing to help. I'm sure you'll find your perfect place. Edit: I really think I need to start getting more sleep. *counts down days until spring break*

*glares* I have lost the game! Also Epic RP = Best RP...in my opinion.

Feeling like I'm not comfortable w/ my place in current FC
Evie replied to Kage's topic in FFXIV Discussion
While I am slightly disappointed there will be no lala tossing. I am very happy you found a place you can be happy with and to call home, And more importantly that your friends are supporting you and you no longer have to be stressed and can just enjoy the game. Hopefully we can meet in character soon, maybe not on Evie, but keep an eye out for a mysterious female miqote from Salem's past. -
HOWDY! And welcome to the RPC! Also SOOOOOO jealous of your major, I originally applied to my college to do anthropology, focusing on cultural anthropology but my parents refuse to fund my college for anything less than a science degree. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Yes it is still pretty active. Akuma is still a contact that you can get a link pearl from.

How about who can toss a lala the furthest? ... Or will that go AGAINST that FC who wins... Hmmmm. Maybe a toss and catch? If you don't catch then obviously you don't win... And would Lala tossing be like caber throwing or like Javelin throwing? Can we make this into a full on server event with betting and everything? *taps chin considering logistics* -
Hope I'm not the only one looking forward to the new fishing stuff!

Everyone needs to vent, we'd go crazy if we didn't. And yes getting to know people OOC definitely helps when it comes to IC. Talk to some people with a backstory RP your interested in and figure out OOCly how exactly would be the best way to get your characters interacting together. It makes things easy and gets you started. If you enjoy fighting monsters, maybe that's the perfect way to get people introduced, just a random meeting in the field where you team up to fight a giant rampaging crab. I was at Behemoth the other day and some little Lalafell was ranting ICly during the fight about people just running headlong into danger with no thought to personal well being. Me, him, and my friend ended up walking all the way back to Dragonhead ICly chatting. So like Brynn said and interesting emote or random muttering can catch people's attention.
-
I have to agree with Brynn, I've had great experience with HOD in my interactions with them. Our FCs had an RP event planned by one of theirs a few weekends ago and it was amazing. We're trying to work on planning another event between our guilds so look for that, hopefully in April (spring break coming up for me so going on a vacation, thank god). Faye is a very good person to work with as is Karaan, these are the two I've had the most dealing with. Though I've learned ICly the FC lead is quite interesting . I'm just going to mirror everyone else and say if you ever see me running around feel free to wave me down or send me a tell.
