I'm sorry that you interpreted it that way. But if you go look at any of the "hello"/welcome threads many people post stuff about their FCs. Many FCs are recruiting. And I've posted that in several other posts as well. I don't get all of them as I don't spend all my time on the RPC, but I do mention it. I do not however appreciate that you're accusing me of one-uping you when it is a common occurrence for it to happen. If I wanted to "one-up" you I would have commented on the Piratey themed one as well, but that person would fit better in a piratey themed FC like yours so I didn't make a comment there. This person in question has no clue as to what to do for a character or a guild, so I was BEING HELPFUL by giving other options. ____________________________________________________________________ This was the message from this user and the response I would have sent. All I did was what any other FC lead would do and advertise my FC to potential people It was not meant as a "one-up" even though that's how it was interpretted. Here is the post in question. I'm interested in Extreme Modes. I've defeated Garuda and have tried to do Titan a few times, but considering that fight is the ONLY fight my computer seems to mysteriously lag, it's been pretty difficult. Thought exciting at the same time. I have an i87 Scholar (my main), but also have a WHM and SMN in the upper i70s. Feel free to hit me up and if my FC isn't doing anything I'd be happy to join.

We've been working on this for a month or so, besides how betting would work we've got most of the detail ironed out. But with Raeras being interested in becoming a bookie then we might not even worry about that part anymore . All we'd really need help with is racers and/or people who generally just want to attend for some fun, laid back RP.

The way we are going to have it is that there would be check points along a designated course with non-partial observers at each location to ensure that the racers follow the track, or at least mostly follow the track. At the end/finish line there will be another non-partial observer who will take a screen shot in order to determine which chocobo and rider crosses the finished line first. We were thinking of having an entrance fee which would then be divided in some way between the top three placers.

I just felt that I should mention that Equilibrium has been working on Chocobo Races. We've mapped out a few courses already around some areas, trying to add a few obstacles that could slow down riders by them getting stuck. We figured we'd start with a few smaller, low level area courses and then work up to some more challenging ones. The event got put on the back burner because of Christmas and then work and classes caught up that we kind of forgot. But if there is interest we can certainly take up the event again and get something going soon.

Welcome to the RPC! I too came from SWTOR because of similar reasons after being there for about a year and a half. In my opinion, this community is sooooo much nicer. The game developers have stated that they don't feel this is a cheat and that infact it is a valid way to beat turn two. As well as they have no intention of changing it. No worries. By saying we're shooting for Friday doesn't necessarily mean it'll happen . We didn't even get to coil until yesterday this week.

What I've heard recommended is to get the piece in equivalent myth that drops in turn 5. Which is apparently only your jewlery...pants drop turn 4. But the point is to get the myth pieces that are further along in coil as it'll take more work to get them. But that's just one recommendation. I went for chest and head first myself. So really it's your decision.

If you're interested I'll add you to my friends list in game (I'm Evelyn Strider). I have a small group of FC members that are working on coil 1 and 2 (coil 2 is so easy) and if you haven't run it by the weekend you're welcome to join us, maybe Friday nights. Though I've had decent enough groups by using the party finder, but it can be hit or miss. It gets harder to do coil on the weekends as most people run T1 and T2 on Monday. My group can't tend to do that as most of us work or are in school. So time is limited on weekdays. As to gear. The more the better. It makes things easier, but if the group is able to work well together coordination can make up for some lower gear. Myth gear takes a while to earn, so capping myth every week is important. If you do one CT a day or your random 50 DR that should be done easily enough. CT gear can supplement in the meantime, as this gear is better than Darklight. Now I'm not familiar with the whole min-max thing for classes as that's way more work than I want to put into things, but you can probably find the "best gear" for BLM just by googling it. I think this would be great. I'm not much of a GM myself, too nervous that I'd screw it up, so I have so much respect for GMs who can do it well. I'd be interested in participating in this if you end up getting things going. Maybe convince a few other friends of mine as well. Depending on how big of a group you'd want.

The poll didn't indicate that you wanted to know if this would or would not work. I assumed it was more of a would you or would you not use my services type of thing. I voted no as well as I farm my own supplies. Most because I too am trying to save up for FC and personal housing. Every little bit helps. And based on the Housing thread many other people are trying to do the same. So not sure how much interest you'll get at the moment. And also isn't this kind of what the market board is for?

There are plenty of people who RP and don't exactly follow the "naming conventions" of the classes. If anyone gives you problems you could just RPly say that it's a name that's been passed down through your family for generations, you were adopted hence the weird name, or something that fits with your story. Most RPers would just go with it. You'll probably going to have people who recognize the name. My main's name is Evelyn and the number of times someone has said "Oh you must be a fan of League of Legends" is too many to count anymore. I have never even played that game or knew there was a character in the game with the name, but people still recognize it from something that they know. Again it shouldn't be anything to worry about with RP, but it could be a good conversation starter.
