I agree with you completely! And I'm sorry for being so out of the loop to not realize you've been in contact with SE reps (I think that's very cool of you). While I think this vote is important, and rather exciting, I am looking forward to having it tossed aside in light of official support from SE.

I don't know if anyone has posted this before, but apparently Yoshi-P has already promised an RP server for the launch of 2.0 http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/37276-SE-please-designate-a-Role-Play-friendly-server%21?p=560925&viewfull=1#post560925 I know we have a vote going on today for the second RP server that's non-legacy, but this kind of throws that out the window, huh? Maybe we should pressure Yoshi-P to tell us ASAP what the official RP server is going to be.

I can't believe it's going to be almost 3 years since the early days. God, I feel old.

For the tl;dr- The fan-fic's will be put together in a free e-book for everyone to read, and printed into a single hard copy to send to Yoshi-P. We can show him our support by creating stories from the game he's been slaving over. MISSION STATEMENT: The purpose of this event is to combat the mediocrity and complacency that lays upon the pallets of many Square Enix fans. Final Fantasy, while a long lasting franchise, has become something dear to us. By inspiring the minds of the fans and tickling the creative toes of our Role Players on Besaid, we can show our support for the fanbase and for the development teams. Let's come together and show our power! Below are further details broken up into categories for you to peruse and commit to heart. Please be sure to read everything if you wish to participate in this event. Please visit our forums for the updated information http://www.sanctusrefero.com/forum/index.php/topic,882 How to Submit: Stories must be submitted in both PDF and .DOC format to -- Submissions only in .DOC will still be accepted.

OH LS Bliss Haute Couture Fashion Show
Sterne replied to Seraphine Felstar's topic in Chronicled Events
Meanders in after Ashelynd with his satchel packed with all of his trinkets and sentimental treasures. After she leaves he walks up to the same pile of flyers to see what the reaction was for... "Fashion Show, huh?" He looks to his canvas bag and then back to the flyer "I suppose I can make time for this.... should be fun." Folding up the flier and placing it in the front pocket of his leather leggings, he hefts the canvas bag up over his shoulder and reserves a room at the Inn for the last time for a very long time. -
Oh this is exciting It should be a great learning experience since Sanctus Refero has had Linkshell Centric "Leves" and Story Arcs in the works for sometime. It would be interesting to see how it's implemented server wide and what direction and control the RPC will apply to it. Question: Will the developing Besaid Canon Lore be documented anywhere so that people who haven't participated in specific events or just want to read a good story can have something to chew on? (Sorry if I missed that in your post)

We know this news may be shocking, so bear with us. On Friday the 18th of February, at 4pm PST, Sanctus Refero will be deleted. At the same time, we will be inviting people back to the Linkshell. As a nod to tradition and habit, the wipe will occur at the Astalicia. If you want to be present for the wipe, you're more than welcome to. A few things will change on the forums to represent the wipe. For instance you'll notice soon a countdown to remind everyone of the wipe, as well as a description change and the removal of the member queue. For all those inside the member queue, we will be looking for you during this time for an invite. Feel free to contact us at your leisure, however, to get an invite to S:R. Members should post Here to reserve a spot for themselves and up to two friends they would like to join. We don't want to run out of room for everyone, so we need to do this orderly. Invites will be done on a first come, first serve basis.

T_T Oh my gosh I grew up on Thunder Cats. That and Speed Racer and Reboot.

I had a huge conversation about this yesterday when my sister told me! I still need to do more reading, but it's so odd how they just changed. The new sign really interests me! I don't honestly believe any of this hardcore or shape my life around it, but it's sure fun. Thanks for spreading the word Castiel! Just read this article: http://blogs.babble.com/famecrawler/201 ... rstanding Now I'm confused. Lmao - I would read more indepth if I wasn't at work.

RP Consequences of Main Storyline (minor spoilers)
Sterne replied to Kikoro's topic in RP Discussion
I think the style in which I created my own back-story meets you half way. I usually like to keep my story somewhat connected to the main arch of the game, while making key diversions to maintain some semblance of uniqueness. In other words, creating enough diversions to make it my own. With the way my characters story is developing, I'm purposefully staying away from including any of the missions I play through. In my head I'm enjoying the story that S:E has laid out for us as players, but acting out a story that's developed into something else with the people I RP with. It works for me, and I still feel as if Sterne is a part of Eorzea and not just my own construct. -
I'm at my computer at work, and the same thing happens at home as well (though I haven't tried the refresh there). At least here, I'm using the most up to date version of Chrome and the border at the top is still f**ked. I am running.... Google Chrome Version 8.0.552.224 and it was nice enough to tell me that it's up to date! So, I don't know what the problem could be I'll try clearing all the temp and cookie data and see if that fixes anything. Fixed. Apparently google REALLY likes old data.

Next year should be a big turn around for them. The released of the PS3 version which will, hopefully, bring them a lot of profit. Final Fantasy XII Versus, Kingdom Hearts~ I think they're good. Just fucked up with FFXIV (although they are fixing it) and didn't advertise Deus Ex properly. I only saw like... 2 ads for it and 1 trailer that I had to dig for.

OOC Information: Auditions will be judged solely on your role-playing and ability to balance and time emotes properly. The auditions will all be held on stage in Mih Khetto's Amphitheater, which is located in Gridania at (5,1). Once auditions are complete, this post will be updated, the flyer taken down, and a list of the actors and actresses will be take its place. That will stay posted until a date has been set mid-way through rehearsals. So stay in touch and keep an eye open for updates! FAQ: Q. What roles are available? A. Q. How do I sign up for an appointment only audition? A. Quite simple, actually. Show Alona how much you love her! ... Just kidding. Just contact Alona Rhys and tell her you'd like to make an appointment. She'll pencil you in and you BETTER show up or things won't be pretty. Q. What should I bring or prepare? A. Nothing! Just wear your best outfit and put your best foot forward! Scripts will be provided and you will have to act it out on stage. Q. If I don't want to be a player... can I be a judge? A. Absolutely! Just realize you will have to attend all of the auditions like a good little judge. As a judge, your absence from the auditions will not be tolerated! If you can live with that, contact either Alona Rhys or Sterne Evans for information on how to participate as a judge. You will be compensated for your time. Q. What if I just want to heckle.... A. Then we will hate you forever.

Gears Behind the Bars turned out to be a blast. Apologies to everyone who couldn't make it! Let's go through a break-down of what happened! The event started 20 minutes after the scheduled time of 3:00 after some brief confusion. (I swear, I have a bunny brain. I thought it was 12:00 EST even though I put together all the times myself...) We quickly dove right into the purpose of the event. For those that didn't attend and are curious about what this was, well it's quite simple. It was a set up for the Secret Santa event Sanctus Refero is hosting in the coming days. Everyone was welcome to come to get each others character for that specific purpose. (More on that at in the bottom half of this post). The first game we played was Mafia, which worked swimmingly. I, as the narrator, chose the Murderer, Nurse and Sheriff. No one knew each others identity and at night the murderer would knock out another victim. Arkine Vanrien got away with it! He killed the entire party! And boy... did we learn about each other in the process! After we all sobbed over the deaths, we played âChoco Choco Moogle!â (a modified version of Duck Duck Goose). Duck Duck Goose is a childhood game of tag, essentially. It's been modified to include a race around a portion of Ul'dah. The winner gets to ask their Moogle a question about his/herself. Some interesting facts were revealed.... Now, here's the list that you've been waiting for! People who have qualified for the Secret Santa! (If I've forgotten your name and you were at the event, please PM me and I will correct my oversight) Due to extraordinary circumstances a lot of people have expressed a desire to participate in the Secret Santa Event despite not attending. Unfortunately, at the moment this is not possible. There will be some deliberations done to determine the options we have to make it happen, however, it may not follow the same rules or be inclusive. An update will be made shortly. If you're wondering why this event was so integral to Secret Santa, it's because of the nature of the game! No one will know who they are RECEIVING gifts from. But the gift giver will know who they are GIVING gifts to. The GIVER is to create a riddle for the RECEIVER. The riddle is to hint as to who the GIVER is. If the RECEIVER successfully guesses, they win an extra prize that will be a surprise. If they do not successfully guess, the GIVER wins the extra prize. So you can see why knowing each other is so important. Everyone in the list above will receive instructions from me shortly. You are to create, craft, buy or summon from the aether your present for your target. Alona and I will be picking up your presents on the 18th and 19th of December for Delivery on the 24th (still up to change depending). Please be sure to have a creative riddle or hint for your target. The clue will be judged on originality and effectiveness, please do not be offended if we ask you to resubmit. Merry Christmas!

^.^ I had a lot of fun. I just wish there was a better way to clear up the clog caused by so many RPers! Despite that fact I had fun with Alona and a few other people. Great job on organization and sheer force of will

It looks really awesome ;-; I hyper fail at digital art. I'm stuck in the stone-age of traditional pencil to paper

I am excited and yet terrified at the same time of this change. Holy crap - Square fired everyone. (Not literally, but essentially) This could be good or bad. As I have been working with management in one of New York City's biggest companies, I have had the unfortunate pleasure of being dropped into a project already in progress. It's not fun, and it's stressful (most of the time). Hopefully, the people they've chosen have enough experience to be able to step in and catch up on a lot of the work that was missed or just be able to absorb the work that's already been done. If not, then progress may move even slower! (at least in the beginning) But, I still have faith in Square Enix. I'm sure that the new fresh look at things will incur some great mother flipping changes I'm gonna go shut my brain off now before it implodes.
