Sounds amusing. Count me in! Nyxerys Viglante- Miqo'te/KotM Nyx is very outgoing. If you're going to engage in a conversation with her, be prepared! Marie Rembrandt- Hyur/Highlander Remmy is extremely quiet. She only talks when it's needed and she is always questioning everything.

You could use these pointers to identify what kind of accent is he/she using. Also, you can determine their social class. 1. Occupation 2. Education 3. Salary (use your imagination, measure in wealth/abundance if the person is not getting paid for his/her services.) 4. Housing Locality Trudgill (1974) Example: 1. Fisherman 2. Fishermen's Guild, No formal Eorzean education. 3. 500-1,000 gil (?) 4. Limsa Lominsa 1~4= What kind of accent does he/she have? "He/she must be a Lominsian Fisherman (Lominsian Pirate accent,low class, low income, etc.) I've been having my doubts about "Eorzean" accents, but I still have some questions: 1. What is "Eorzean"? What languages are involved? 2. Who speaks "Eorzean"? 3. Can we map it (Isoglossses)? 4. Where did it come from? What's the base language and what is the stratum? PS It has flaws, but at least it's a small step.

To be honest, I tried to RP on Balmung several times. Most people have their own cliques and they're almost unreachable/unavailable when new role-players are trying to integrate themselves to the community. Last time I RP'd, I was in a "supposedly" RP LS for RP newcomers/beginners. As soon as I politely asked about their RP style and such, people started yelling/causing drama for no reason. Someone even quoted the ToS (which is irrelevant since there's a ESRB content rating symbol on the back of the game box.) As soon as they implement world transfers, I will move to Leviathan or Gilgamesh. I hope I can have a pleasant RP experience and enjoy what the game has to offer.

RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): Light-Medium. I really don’t mind Eorzean nomenclature (a Hyur with a Miqo’te name or vice-versa), but you need to have a background or a solid explanation. Example: interracial relationships, mixed ancestry. Views on RP combat and injuries: Everything must be discussed OOC before engaging in this kind of RP activity. If the RP leads to an arch-nemesis stance, we could always integrate PVP aspects as long as we discuss what we are going to include or exclude. Views on IC romance: This could be an amazing aspect of RP or another Drama Central/Station. If someone wants to engage in a romantic relationship with my character, let me know OOC before doing so. If you have like 10 slaves or a personal harem, I’m not your choice. I enjoy challenges, so expect to be tested several times. If it is pure romance, I will get bored. It’s nice to travel every now and then or dream of the unknown, but I prefer down-to-Earth relationships/interactions. If romance leads to new things, there must be chemistry. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): Please discuss OOC before yelling at me “I’m your x, y, z.” Views on lore: Eorzean lore feels incomplete, but it’s getting there. I do enjoy several linguistic/historical facts within the game. The usage of Classical Languages (Latin,Greek) is formidable and if you spend too much time with me, you will notice I will try to translate/describe every single detail I notice. Also, the recreation of several historic names (Nero, Livia, Gaius) and Ancient Roman military remarks (eques, legio, hoplomachus, laquearius, sagittarius, etc.) will serve as a OOC topic if you’re interested in Ancient World History. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): OOC: /say – Normal chat /linkshell – Endgame Activities. /tell-Specific things IC: /say – public RP /ls- Group RP /tell – OOC matters/specific IC RP III. To be honest, I just go for it. I love breaking the ice once in a while. Sometimes there's chemistry, and sometimes there isn't. When there is chemistry, I love taking my sweet time because I want it to be enjoyable. When I'm not in the mood, I let them know I'm OOC or that I don't feel like RPing at the moment with well-built lines of course. When I know someone is just being a troll, I just ignore or give them the cold shoulder.
