  1. Frankly there are a LOT of NPC emotes in the outside world that we really should see. I want to be able to stand with my arms folded and with one hand on my hip @@
  2. The young hyur continued lightly plucking against the strings even after Clover had arrived, remaining oblivious to her presence. The melody carried forward for a short while longer, its imminent end growing more apparent as the mellow harmony grew ever softer and the tempo more and more easy in tune with the dying breeze before finally coming to a sleepy finish. His eyes remained closed for a brief moment as he drew in a soft breath of the fresh, forest air, silently bidding farewell to the unseen world before slowly unveiling his sapphire eyes and returning to the beautiful scenery that had served to inspire. He sighed in contentment as a slight smile formed across his face. He was truly blessed to be able to spend his days like this, although, the same thought did reign in a slight pang of guilt. "...?" The hyur made no noise to the brief realisation but he suddenly detected a nearby presence as his senses slowly descended back down upon him. He quietly leaned on to his arm to peer around the tree only to see the young, female acquaintance he had met twice previously. A peculiar girl who not only seemed as though she had a lot more to say than her words would offer her, but also a fearless being who had selflessly put his well-being ahead of her own in spite of not being a warrior herself. Andre smiled playfully as he discreetly pulled himself around the trunk of the massive tree they had both been leaning against to bring himself within reaching distance of the girl. Her eyes appeared to be closed, surely not sleeping again? Cautiously reaching a hand out towards her hair, he gingerly pinched the stem of a fallen leaf that had lain itself atop her head and removed it carefully from her hair. "I hope my playing hadn't bored you into a slumber so easily" he jested while speaking with a soft voice, hoping not to disrupt nor startle her. "Otherwise I fear I may need to seek out a different hobby" he added with a bashful chuckle while flicking his hand to the side to discard of the leaf he had still been holding before returning his glance to the female.
  3. I don't think anyone disagrees in that aspect though Naunet. We'd all kill for more emotes. Permanent kneel and pray, anyone? I do think the idea wasn't to make your character appear as though they were sleeping though. The emote is going to be used by people who are just sitting around and relaxing and talking in their housing in my opinion. If all of the other races appear to be sleeping then I will be tempted to agree with you in part but I think the doze is just misleading. Its the "tired" version of the other emotes that had been modified while sitting.
  4. Its just a cute and girly pose to me.... Personally, my character won't really get to use this but I don't see how everyone is drawing it out to be something intended for those with a lewd mind. I was one of the people under the impression that a lot of IG sexual references involved miqo'te and therefore felt that they were a race "picked on" a lot in that aspect, but this emote didn't give me even the slightest inkling of anything suggestive. I just don't see it. Bikini aside, the miqo'te is being portrayed in the typical "cute and pretty" fashion while the lalafel is being portrayed as childlike by appearing absolutely exhausted. I draw that conclusion from many in-game mannerisms. I don't see anyone getting all annoyed about that race being portrayed in a cute and child-like fashion but when it comes to the miqo'te and the theme is slightly more towards the cute and teenage area suddenly it means something else. As I've said, I believe miqo'te are the favoured face for such references but I do not believe this to be an example.
  5. ((OOC Note: )) The soothing melody of artificial chords entwined both gently and befittingly with those of the natural world, forming a lulling ballad that was composed upon the continuously alternating rhythms of the rustling, wind-brushed greenery, the hum of the immense, swaying branches overhead, and the soft cascade of leaf-littered water over a nearby fall. Remaining oblivious to all else around him, the blonde hyur fell out of sight from the path he had earlier veered from, bobbing his head to the beginning of each new bar that he played. As though seeking to find the hidden and unheard melodies of the woodland and knitting the worlds of both man-made and nature-born music together, the dreamy-tempo of the tune the young hyur played bestowed a blanketing feeling of blissful tranquility. He hummed quietly to himself as the untold composure continued resonating sleepily along with seemingly no end, his voice serving to refund the lost lyrics of an unknown hymn long past that were echoed through the woodland from the unseen spirits of the forest and the hushed whispers of the trees themselves. His untainted, sapphire eyes remained protected behind his lids as he hid himself away from the real world, shielding his thoughts from the corruption his vision would offer. As beautiful was the Shroud was - and it truly was unlike anything he had ever beheld - the blank canvas that slowly came to life behind his eyelids through every plucked chord, as though caressed softly by an imaginary paintbrush, drew a vivid scenery that only he could see. His passion for music was born from this very aspect. Its ability to create a world that could never be found on the outside... and its power to capture and enwrap itself with one's deepest emotions and express them in a way that words could never hope to compare. This was where he felt truly free, truly happy. Every canvas was painted over with a new melody each time, though no past image would ever bear a feeling of nostalgia. Music from the heart never diminished. Rather, it only revisited forgotten feelings with an evolved wisdom... and reflected upon distant scars in a new light.
  6. Welcome to the server ^^/ Cuisine de France.
  7. Hahaha, I never imagined it possible but I think my main character might end up coming into contact with his in the near future. Does he still flirt with everyone? Does he still do that?
  8. This must be why me and you enjoy each other's tags in RtG! We both have the exact same mindset! Hahaha ...it hurts... ;w;
  9. Chocobos don't die. They were just performing a play.
  10. I saw your character recently, emoted a few times and took some screenshots but there was no response ;w; Faye has no time for lowly peasants *falls dramatically* Just whisper this to Faye IC Instant RP right there! I'd rather die ;;; Edit: I saw Vivi and waved to her! Got ignored though ;w; She and Faye are in on it together.

  12. Not quite new but I haven't RP'd a ton yet partly for the same reasons ^^/ Glad to know the feeling is mutual then. :3 This will be a deadly battle of neither of us being able to initiate conversation.

  14. Well, currently it's Gridania. Old or New. Poets more towards the Bontanist area and Vivi is just everywhere. I have a hyur who is very friendly and "casual" about everything so even the most silliest forms of small talk wouldn't bother him I guess, he'd understand that she is nervous(I am guessing she is too from your title) so it could help both ICly and OOCly? ^^ ; I am quite shy about such things myself but not to the same extent. Totally up to you however. My characters could easily be perceived as boring -o-
  15. Yes!! This precisely ;;; I hate that niggling feeling of doubt...
  16. If no-one really replied then you may have considered my character out of desperation, thats why I am too late haha. In any case, I doubt your pilgrimage would take you deep into Sagolii anyways. Though perhaps if our tribe moves to Eastern Thanalan following the current ongoing rp scenes then it can happen ^^ ;
  17. It's not too hard. Essentially, you'll emote an action, the opponent will respond and emote their reaction. That's how I play it at least - there are certainly different ways. Oh okay, then sure I'd absolutely love to if you'll have me >w<
  18. I'd be very interested but I have no idea how to do in-game combat!!! >w
  19. Ah, as far as your any inclination towards RP would have went, I have only RP'D K'nahli twice in-game. That how seldom the chance comes around. Add to that four or five forums topics and you have the totality of all her RP experience. She is still stuck in Sagolii. Ul'dah is the furthest she has ever ventured.
  20. That's okay! Something happened that I think distracted me and I lost your tell (I really hate this chat system) so I don't think I ever got back to you. I just can't remember what it was. Still sleepy over here. No worries, you got your revenge today anyways... ;w; You look so much like a dead NPC character I made ;_;
  21. I'll link this to Clover when Ifrit finally decides to look for a White Mage staff/wand for her.
  22. I must admit, I actually feel a little guilty when I see people emoting alone but don't give anything for others to respond to.. or if the other group simple don't mention it in spite of being totally open to interaction. I keep wondering if perhaps they're hoping for someone else to take the initiative and are in truth disappointed when no-one responds. Does anyone actually feel like that at any point? I can't count the times a lone RP'er has sat down at a table in the quicksand and emotes on on their lonesome ;w; Personally, for the few times I have RP'd there it hasn't really bothered me and I accept that what I am doing is only adding to the setting but whenever its anyone else I assume the worst =w= ;;
