  1. I agree with Armi 100%, and to add on/sum up my own personal opinions, I believe running a LS is a lot of trial and error. You're going to make mistakes, but that doesn't matter. What is important is learning from your mistakes. Feedback and open communication with your members is critical for this.
  2. Because the Aussies deserve to be thrown a bone once and a while. Have you seen how awful it is down there in terms of release dates for most games, much less all the censoring they do? Poor blokes. Not to mention how much more expensive the games are down there. Those Aussies got it rough for sure.
  3. Well, there are many different ways a RP LS can be successful. Some of which can be seen as subjective while other ways can be seen as objective. In regards to which way is better, a lot depends on the leading style of the shell holder and the overall dynamic of the members in the LS.

    New Sig

Clever and unique. I like it. ^.^
  5. It's easy, just imagine the child to be the most precious thing on earth to you and be able to see a part of yourself in her. Beyond that, it's really tough to explain the parent/child dynamic, cause most of it is natural instinct. It's one of those things that if you're not a parent, you can still have a pretty good idea. I don't know what it feels like to have my hand chopped off....but I have a pretty good idea. Once I actually became a parent, there was a whole new awareness over my eyes. It changed a part of me and I saw the world in a different way ever since.
  6. That satiates my appetite for WIN today. I thank you sir. ^.^
  7. Great job on keep that updated brotha' :approve:
  8. That's the cutest Thagyr I've seen. Nice work as usual Noelle. ^^
  9. Well....whenever PS3 release gets here, we'll be able to do some old school RP together :ugeek:
  10. When I ran a RP LS, the events that got planned out OOC'ly were done so in order to make sure all the players would be available at a certain time. This was usually the case for players who were moving their story arc along. WIth forum RP, it's a lot easier, as you can wait over the period of days for everyone (who is needed) to particpate in the thread. In-game, the RP is done right then and there, so there has to be some sort of planning for a huge event like that. For everyday RP, it usually went about as organically as you are referring to. Our characters would just start up RP here or there in a natural way.
  11. Nah, it's all good brotha'. Like I said, that link still brings some new stuff to the table. Perhaps that link should be posted in the thread to make sure that Keir sees it so he can incorporate the pictures. Also, for those not aware, I also have a thread that incorporates many links to many different useful resources (via RPC or a separate third party). It can be found HERE. :moogle:
  12. There is some new stuff that hasn't been completely covered in that thread, but the majority of it has been collected and compiled HERE, courtesy of Keir. Thanks also goes to Kejira for her contribution to the thread as well.
  13. The different color eyes really stand out to me, so I base the character's look around those eyes. What I get form the eyes is a mysterious and formidable individual. #2 is way too friendly looking and #1's forehead distracts from those eyes. I feel #3 best compliments those eyes.
  14. I choose option 1 because all I can think of him saying is: "I am MAN! I built the wheel!"
  15. Looks like a cool guide. I commend you for dedicating your time to sharing the knowledge you have gained. :approve:
  16. I got confused for a moment, cause I looked at my time it was still 9, then I remember you east coastians are in the future. Happy Birthday Castiel. Enjoy yerself brotha' :cheer:
  17. Nice work! ^.^ If more data could be compiled and edited into the OP, that'd make a great addition to my Guide/Databases links.
  18. I really appreciate the kind words. The hours that I put into it make it all worth it when I get appreciation like this I'm mainly happy to just be able to do my part in helping strengthen the RP community.
  19. I imagine that those were all the Primals that got spread throughout Hydaelyn. I guess five years later, the beastmen tribes figured out how to control 'em and use their power to elevate their threat to the other city states of Eorzea. Wow, I clearly don't know enough about the Lore to call myself a role-player :bounce: lol, what's ironic is that I haven't even been able to play 'in-game' yet. I just love to nerd up on lore when it comes to stuff like this. :geek:
